He'd dropped Ume off at her house and gotten home the old-fashioned way - powering down and taking the bus. He'd certainly gotten enough 'excitement' for tonight, thank you !
But he couldn't stop thinking about it. About Naica, the crystals. What he'd seen, how strangely... at home he'd felt there, on that barren rock floating in the middle of a sea of stars. The sights dancing on the surface of the multi-hued crystals.
The ring that had been embedded on one spire. The ring that he had taken with him, played with on the whole bus ride. The crystal that adorned the head, and the star that looked just like the one on his belt when he was Naica. No one else seemed to notice - another kind of magic ? Maybe.
He remembered the visions, and brought a bottle of black ink on the way home, climbing the stairs up to his apartment and locking the door behind him as he always did.
...Would it really work ? He had no idea.
Nonetheless, he pulled out a sheet of paper from one of his binders and wrote.Quote: Valhalla, Uh, you remember what you told me ? About places... and the rings... That whole thing ? It's actually true. I ended up there - I wasn't alone, I can already see you stare at me ! - and I've found mine. I think I... saw how they work, too, but im not sure. Good thing no one's seeing me trying this because I might look like an idiot. If you get this... Meet me up in the park near my apartment whenever you can ? I'll be there in a few minutes, and I'll stay till about midnight. 
He powered up, slipped the ring over his glove (it fit easily weither he was powered up or not, stange...) and slipped out by the balcony window toward the park. He was pretty certainly that if Valhalla got the note, he would come - if only to scold him about taking off in space.
It wasn't like he'd known it was gonna take him off in space !

Chris had been in the middle of doing some homework when all of a sudden a piece of paper appeared out of nowhere. He nearly fell off his stool at his drafting table when it showed up, and let out a small yelp that alerted his dog, who in turn barked in surprise. The last thing he'd been expecting was to see a note from anyone!
He sputtered in shock as he cautiously opened it, taking a few moments to realize who was writing to him. But... how?? Still, he couldn't mistake the symbol he'd seen on Nacia's strange outfit, and soon he was scrambling to grab his jacket and keys so he could go out to meet him.
Originally, he thought about bringing Annabel with him, but decided that probably wouldn't be good. With their luck they would probably run into a youma or two. Or worse. So, after pocketing his wallet and keys and making sure the doors were locked, Chris made his way out of the window in his bedroom to the fire escape, and climbed to the roof before he powered up.
It took him only a few minutes to make it to the park where he expected to run into his friend, and sure enough...
"Mind explaining this to me?" he wondered, holding up the sheet of paper that had magically appeared in front of him less than half an hour earlier. "What were you even talking about? And what the hell were you doing in space?? It's dangerous! You could have gotten hurt! You're not hurt, are you??"
Okay, maybe he needed to hold off on the nagging...

Naica had settled on a park bench, and waited - prepared to the idea that the paper might have vanished in some damn alternate dimension for all he damn well knew. He should have taken his cellphone out of his pocket first, but what if anyone saw him ? What if he ran into a youma, dropped the phone, and...
Well, pretty incriminating.
Thankfully, it didn't see long before Valhalla came, holding...
Holy s**t that had worked ?!
"It worked !" Naica's eyes went wide, then he seemed to have belatedly registered the demand for information. And Val's freaking out.
Really, people called him naggy, but he was pretty certain that Chris was at least just as bad as he was. If not worse.
If they ever went worried mode on the same person at the same time, they would overkill the poor sap into the next decade, certainly.
"Well, did you read it ? I had someone with me. Im fine. Not hurt in the very least." Beside, he was wearing white - it wasn't like he could hide it if he'd been bleeding. He pouted a bit, then held up his hand - it was hard to miss the signet ring - large, golden, with the head made of the same crystal that adorned Naica's opposite wrist.
"You told me something about rings, I remember that. I found this nested in one of the crystal spires on Naica. I... felt like it was meant to be mine." He said, sheepish - it was evident now that he'd acted on pure, sheer passion and emotion, which was something he tried to avoid. Not that he was good at avoiding it.
"I saw... things, in the crystals. Flashes. Images. I saw.. someone using that ring. Writing something, stamping it, and then the paper was gone... So I tried it. And it worked !"

Valhalla froze and glanced down at the note again. Oh, so he was with someone... wait, what??
"You were with someone?? Who?" he sputtered, staring at Naica as if he had two different heads. Who would he have gone to his strange... whatever it was... with him? But something else caught Valhalla's attention as well. The ring on his finger. "Is that it? The ring I mean... that you found..." Well obviously, otherwise he wouldn't be wearing it. "And it really can send this?" he asked, holding up the piece of paper.
This was too much, he thought, and Valhalla moved over to sit down on the bench, leaning his head back as he thought about all the things that could have gone wrong. Being in space was dangerous...
"Da- Naica... you have to be careful, okay?" he asked, frowning in concern. He didn't want his friend to get hurt, especially not when he was already danger prone to begin with. Too curious for his own good, and Valhalla would like to have a tracking device on him at all times if only to make sure he didn't wind up stuck in a sewer or something ridiculous.
He was glad that he seemed okay, though. No blood at least. "What was it like...?" he asked, curious now that he was sure that Naica wasn't about to keel over or something like that. "Other than crystal spires and such..."

'Who' was proving to be a very... well, an harder question than it looked like at first glance. It wasn't like you revealed someone's secret identity without permission - he'd already gotten that much, after all.
"MuCephei. She's a... friend." Yeah. Shifty eyes. "Don't worry about it. She's pretty strong... if anything happens, she'll protect me."
Of course Valhalla would worry anyway. Because Valhalla was Chris and that was Chris always ended up doing. Siiiiigh.
"Yeah, that's it. And that's how I sent the note. You write it, stamp the signet on the paper... and poof !" Arm waving for emphasis. "I wasn't even powered up, either... Which could be useful."
It seemed they had a way to communicate no matter which of their selves they were.
"It was..." Naica paused, trying to find the words. "It was strange but... familiar at the same time. Im not too sure exactly where it is, beside it being small and well... in space." The in space part had been very... very obvious. "I think... I was the only one that lived there... before. There was just one room in the caves, no real buildings... But it felt... like home." That sounded so confusing. "It's... hard to explain, im sorry..."

"She?" Valhalla asked, an eyebrow raising curiously. "You're hanging out with a 'she' that I haven't met yet? Who is she? This... MuCephei? Is she a knight? A senshi? A civilian? You know a civilian won't be able to do much damage against a youma, Naica," he nagged, frowning in disapproval at his friend. And he didn't care that Naica might not want him to nag him about it! It was going to nag all he wanted!
His eyebrow didn't lower when his friend explained the ring and message sending. "Useful, right... You still haven't told me who this girl is," he pointed out, trying not to get moody about it. He didn't approve of his best friend running around with girls he didn't know about. Obviously.
When he started to explain his 'home world' though, Valhalla remained quiet, not sure what to say. He hadn't been to Valhalla so he couldn't compare. After a while though, he shook his head, not wanting Naica to apologize for something like that. "It's okay... I know it's confusing." He'd been to space before, just... not his world or whatever it was... he planned on going, eventually, but... he didn't know when.
"Naica... I'm serious, you need to be more careful. There's dangerous things going on out there in space... People disappearing and getting hurt... Senshi that can walk through mirrors and corrupt whoever they get their hands on... Please," he practically begged, "Please be careful."

...Why did Chris have to derail everything ? He'd been happy he'd figured out something, but now all that was going on was nag, nag, nag.
Still, it wasn't until the mention of a civilian that he lost it. Everyone had some sort of limit, and usually Valhalla was good at not finding Naica's - but right now that comment had just gone and done it. "Val. VAL. Do you honestly think I am THAT STUPID ?!" For someone who did it maybe twice a year, Naica had one hell of a screaming voice when he felt like it.
No, really. What did he think he was, utterly retarded ?! He paused, took a few deep breaths. Calm, Naica, Calm. "She's a senshi. An eternal senshi. I can assure you she can handle youma just fine, thank you very much."
No, really, he wasn't that stupid. "I know there's weird s**t in space... But I wasn't alone. I had a senshi who's been doing this for two years with me, Val. I just..." He sighed, suddenly feeling awful for his earlier outburst. He never was one to stay mad long. "Im sorry. I shouldn't have screamed like that. I know you're just worried..."
Through. "...Senshi that walk through mirrors ?" Oh, damn. More crazy senshi ? "What's with all the crazy senshi anyway ? That's ******** up..."

He knew he'd gone too far the moment Naica's voice began to raise. It wasn't every day that Daniel got to that point, so when he did, Chris knew he'd gotten out of hand.
Valhalla stared at his friend for a long moment before having to look away in embarrassment of himself as his face flushed red. Thank goodness it was dark so the possibility of Naica seeing him blushing like an embarrassed idiot was lowered, although he was sure his friend knew him well enough by now to realize he regretted his nagging.
"Sorry," he mumbled, shifting awkwardly in place, not knowing what to do with his hands so he lifted his arms to cross over his chest. "I just... don't want to have to call your mom and explain that you'd died..." Daniel had been his best friend for all of high school and he still counted on him, despite his worrying.
"I don't think you're stupid," he tried to explain, still feeling sheepish and awkward and out of place for being yelled at. "I think you mean too well and are too curious for your own good, that's all."
He shook his head in response to the topic of crazy senshi, not knowing what to say. "Yeah, or at least a few of them can," he corrected, not knowing if it meant they could all walk through mirrors or if only a few could, but until he found out for sure, he thought it best to treat it as though they all could.

"You won't have to." Hell, he'd studied these kind of things enough for his writing to know that if something happened to him, it was probably the police who would call his mother, if he died or vanished.
...But that probably wasn't what Valhalla wanted to hear.
"And you're a worrier with an hero complex." He said, but - he was smiling. "I think that makes us even, no ?"
Really.
"Hn. The one that was here when I awakened could... Teleport, I guess ? She just kind of went from one side of the room to the other so fast..."

Valhalla let out a deep sigh, still not really wanting to think about the possibility of anything happening to... anyone... It was much too depressing and he had enough to deal with than people, especially his friends, getting hurt and or dying.
Naica also got a small glare for his comment about the hero complex, but the grumbling he did was inaudible. But all that was forgotten once Naica mentioned teleporting.
"There was a negaverse officer there?" he blanched, although he forced himself to hold back his instinct to nag and worry even more. "Yeah, they can do that. Usually only the higher ups, though. I don't think the lower ranked officers have the ability to do that. At least not in my experience."
He would very much prefer to not experience teleporting again any time soon. Or ever.

...Yeah, he wasn't even gonna bother to correct Valhalla on that one. He couldn't see the page of jupiter slowly turn whiter and whiter, but he knew him enough to know that it was happening.
He couldn't really blame Val for nagging if he was pretty much begging for it to happen. "It was really weird." He admitted. "She was in one place, blink, and then she was elsewhere."
Now he was toying with his ring again, much like a little kid with a new toy. "I think these, with your headsets... They'll work together pretty well. Headsets for immediate conversation, the signets if we need to be more... stealthy about it."

Oh gosh, Daniel was going to get himself in such trouble. Valhalla groaned lightly, lowering his head in defeat. He couldn't very well keep track of his friend at all times... but he was seriously thinking about getting a GPS tracking device for the headset he'd given him. At least that way he could sort of keep an eye on him.
Maybe that was a little too obsessive, though.
"You think so?" he wondered, trying not to think about his friend getting his butt kicked by some negaverse officer. That would just be horrible. "I'll have to go and find my own signet some day," he said, although the lack of enthusiasm was probably clear in his voice. He didn't really have any desire to check out his own wonder, not when there was so much going on in space as it was.
"Thanks for letting me know about them, though... And letting me know you're okay," he grumbled, reaching out to playfully punch at Naica's shoulder. He might not be very cautious about things, but he knew he meant well, and only wanted the best for everyone.

"Hey !" was Naica's reaction to the playful punch, moving to try to just as playfully swat Valhalla away, but missing. This resulted into a pout.
Yes, Naica was probably far from done getting into trouble, most likely to Valhalla's chagrin.
But then again, one could argue that they both got in trouble just by existing as pages. The auras certainly helped trouble find them.
"What were you up to ?" He asked, making it evident that he done getting in trouble, at least for tonight.

Valhalla shrugged lightly, glancing around to make sure they were still alone. "Nothing much... helping out with the Surrounding. Bringing supplies when I can and making sure the civilians aren't getting too out of control for the Zodiac senshi..." he said, shrugging lightly. He was just doing what he could, when he could. Definitely not as exciting as going to his wonder and figuring out what the hell he was supposed to be doing with his life as Valhalla.
"Have you been there yet? The Surrounding? Where all the civilians have been taken?" he wondered, although part of him hoped that Naica had no interest in it... There was too much going on and he didn't want to risk his friend being hurt over some stupid other-worldly incident that didn't really involve him.
But... he would feel guilty not letting him know anything about it.

Oh, right, the surrounding. "I've been once... I think I prefer staying here through. It's so weird..." And well, there needed to be some people who stayed here, right ? If they all went to space, who would take care of the youma ?
...Maybe he was just trying to make himself feel better. Sigh.
"Maybe you can tell me what's been going on over there ? You're up for a coffee over at my place or something ?" He said with a grin. Yeah, definitively enough action for tonight.
