Sheherazade contemplated her newest tale: A wandering, young fox falling in love with the daughter of a tribe elder... The vixen was distracted from her thoughts at the sound of her growling stomach. Slightly annoyed by her own bodily functions, Shay stood and jumped down gracefully from the branch she had been lying in. She was in a more dense part of the forest, hardly anywhere to walk that wasn't covered by the roots of beautifully large trees.
Shay was new to the area, as she never stayed in one place for very long, and didn't exactly know where to start in order to hunt. Ideally, a deer would be nice, but she could find no sign of one. Similarly, the trees held no signs of bird trees, nor the ground any sign of rabbit holes. "What is this eerily abandoned forest that I have found..." She muttered quietly to herself.

Aeryn smiled to himself as he hummed. He was on his way back home when he spotted something out of the corner of his eye. He stopped for a moment and turned his attention to the spot. Standing a little ways away was a female. He almost had to look twice to make sure that was what he was seeing. Normally there were hardly ever any foxes in this place. He wasn't sure why but a female was the last thing he figured to see. Most avoided the area because they thought it was haunted. Right... haunted. He almost laughed about it. The only thing haunting this place was the silence all through the area. Deciding to say hi he walked up to the female with a smile.
"Hi there. I couldn't help but notice you from a far. Do you require assistance?"

Admittedly, Sheherazade hadn't seen the male before he approached and spoke to her. She turned to face him suddenly, startled, before realizing he was only a fox, friendly enough it seemed, and that he probably meant no harm. She examined the fox, who's pelt reminded her of the sky, with the lightest hint of a rainbow. It was nice, she thought, just before realizing that he had asked a question that she still had to answer.
"Assistance?" She repeated, wondering why he would jump to that conclusion. But, it was true that she needed some help, so who was she to refuse? "Actually, yes. Are you familiar with the area? I'm new here, and don't know where to begin to find myself some food."

"Actually yes." He smiled. "I do live around this area and know it quite well." His tail gave a flick. "If you like I can show you around. As for food, there is a lake around here and also a field were animals go to feed on the grass." He gaver her another charming smile.

"Oh, a little tour of the forest would be beautiful," Sheherazade said, accepting his offer with a gracious smile. She decided that she rather liked his smiles as well. The vixen was glad to have found a rather helpful and good-looking fox to help her. "Perhaps we could start at this lake of yours? A potential meal and a chance to quench my thirst sounds like just what I need."
"My name is Sheherazade, by the way," she introduced. "Mind if I ask for yours?"

Aeryn smiled. He was glad to hear that she would enjoy a nice walk through the forest. If anyone could show her a nice time it was him. He knew everything about the forest around them. He did grow up there after all and made a living of being a guide to those who needed him. "Great. I will be happy to assist such a stunning vixen." Lowering his head in a respectful manner he couldn't help but notice how lovely she looked. "I would be happy to show you around the lake my lady." he stood straight as he smiled. "Sheherazade... what a lovely name. I am Aeryn." He bowed. "It is a pleasure to meet you."
