Welcome to the second RP of the Kizingo'Zaa metaplot event!Start: October 9th, 3:00pm EST. End: October 13th, 11:59pm EST. This event is the second of several parts, and is both an RP and a contest! It is open to all current members of the Kizingo (meaning those who joined before the insanity lifted!) AND non-lion NPCs. That means you may play things like birds or turtles or monkeys--potentially the once-muses of the pridal lions! So if you don't have a member you can still try to win! This RP will be set several days after the first Meta RP. The pride has (for the most part) remained in their lands, and have been just trying to get through the days without their muses. They have not yet begun to shift towards the gypsy-style, they are just getting used to being normal lions again. Some who have accepted things faster may be trying to help those still struggling, and the main focus of everyone's recent activities should be that they've been trying to think of ways to keep their home safe. Traps, guards, anything. Amefungwa and Shandor will call the pride together again to start discussing these options, and to decide what ways they'll implement. The end result of this decision and the following Metas' votes has already been decided--the votes will just help the pride decide what path to take to get to that result! Sort of like a choose-your-adventure game! The way to win this round's cub is the same as last time, but here's a refresher on the rules, just in case. Rules1. Please follow all Gaia and SoA rules! 2. Be friendly to your fellow RPers--if you don't win the prize, don't whine! Just try again next time! 3. If you win the prize they MUST stay in the pride. Forever. Period. 4. Each post you make counts as one raffle ticket for the prize! 5. After you make a post, you have to let at least TWO OTHER POSTS be made before you post again!6. Those who do not own a pridal member may RP a 'critter' such as a turtle, monkey, etc.; this critter must have previously been a muse to some lion (even if that lion doesn't exist!) 7. "Muses'" input will be considered, but the opinions of the lions will make up the majority of the pride's reaction that is taken into account. 7. The winner of the prize MUST PM ShinosBee their prize's name, and potential gypsy name! So what's the prize?Well it's a sibling of the cub from last time, so yet another little royal bundle! She looks almost exactly like her mother, but with one big difference! Take a look! Isn't she beautiful? She is the FOURTH child of a fling between the Song Keeper (AKA Gypsy Queen) Amefungwa and a passing rogue, Pahale. The cubs were all born in secret mere days before the disappearance of Insanity and Li's arrival, almost exactly two weeks before the first RP (and about THREE weeks from this current RP!) Therefore you CAN decide to have your cub be crazy! If you decide this, please tell ShinosBee in the PM you send with the cub's name! Thank you! Raffle Tickets1. Tanakako 2. C.C.G. 3. Nerpin 4. Annchen 5. Doodle p***s 6. C.C.G. 7. Mogami 8. Tanakako 9. C.C.G. 10.

Amefungwa was exhausted. The days following the loss of their muses had been hectic, filled with toil and worry, and frankly she was feeling more and more the stress of holding the land together in these times. Shandor had taken several of those who were willing repeatedly on rounds of the pride's lands to check for anyone coming in or going out. Several had left, perhaps hoping to track down their wayward goddess, or to find their muses. She couldn't blame them, but likewise she couldn't condone it. This land had sheltered them and their families for ages, and now they had to work to protect it.
She had been spending more and more time thinking about the songs of old. There were many tales of the pride before its arrival here, but they had never been popular. They were dark songs of battle and danger, and had little place in the lackadaisical pride. In recent years they had all but been forgotten. But she suspected they might contain some hints. How had the pride lived before they had lost themselves in Insanity's thrall? Somewhere there had to be something telling.
Many others of the pride had also begun to work. Once idle paws were no longer content just to sit about in the sun all day. The productivity (even if it was only pacing about calling for their muses) was astounding. Ame left her notes for a time in her den, checked in briefly on the small furry treasures she also had hidden there, and then stepped out into the sun. She started to walk, going out towards the scattering of pride members. Maybe a little break from her research would shed some light on things. And it would be good to see if anyone else had come up with anything.

Things had calmed down in Asali`s little part of the pride. Though she was still fully aware of the change in the pride, the atmosphere now was different and alien to her. But one strange thing that seemed to be a result of the muses leaving... there were fewer small injuries for her to tend now. She supposed that since a lot of her old patients were now more aware and alert, they weren't tripping and falling over things any more, and that made her happy, but it also left her at a bit of a loose end. She had a good stock of ingredients stashed away in her den and enough pastes and poultices waiting to be used that neither gathering nor mixing were tasks that she could do right now. And with less calls to make for check-ups and less new patients seeking her out, the little healer was unneeded and at a loss as to what to do with herself.
So she had gone down onto the beach and sat at the water's edge, gazing out across the wide expanse of the ocean, hoping its calm would transfer to her somehow but thoughts and worries kept spiraling round her mind. What was going to happen now?

The tree had been standing long before the pride had formed within it's home. Relatives all stood around Tree, and she was content with the situation. It was a peaceful existence. Watching critters come a go. Never too lonely.
But in all of her ages, Tree never figured a trope of lions would settle among her family members. The pride blossomed, and for the short time (short in tree life spans) they flourished. Bringing the forest cove a new sort of entertainment. The trees here were isolated. The high cliffs and shoreline (no matter how beautiful it was) weren't quite as connected to the rest of the world. The happenings of the lions became ritual. As it seemed that not long after... one of the lioness' learned to speak with the trees. What a feat! Tree was always eager to strike up a conversation. Similar to an excitable sapling, Tree wanted attention and the hold a conversation with the lioness. Before long the pair of them were friends... but soon thereafter the goddess of Insanity had left. And Tree's one-time friend now wandered around without so much as a hello.
Tree has always been a patient individual. She doesn't scorn the lioness that now seemingly turned her back on Tree, instead the plant watches the happenings of the lions below... there has been an upheaval of some sort. And currently they were gathering just below her... tree listened in attentively.

As the insanity lifted, Shandor was becoming more of a practical mind. He had always had a grasp on the necessary but due to his other-self, he had lacked the clarity of mind to fully act upon it. Even in his former state, he had seen that the lions here had been existing in a dazed state, their minds taken into a fantasy world of peace and nonsense. As wonderful as it must have been, the fact of the matter was that it was gone and the very thing that had plagued and protected the pride had left the lands.
He had spent the last few days patrolling the boarders with a handful of willing volunteers. Lions who had the clarity of mind to accompany him and insure that the insecure and the frightened found some comfort in knowing that their fellows were out on the boarder keeping the pride's lands secured. Even they had been doubtful. Once or twice, the story-keeper had seen the eyes of his fellows drifting skyward, their gaze searching for a goddess who may not ever return. They missed their old way of life, their old state of being, and the peace it had brought to them.
It was only a temporary measure, however. Soon the pride would need a new way. They needed structure, they needed stability, and they needed consistency. They needed change...
The lion had only just come off his shift, leaving his post to another male as he made his weary way back into the pride's territory. Heavy paws carried him over grass and sand as dull eyes scanned the lands for any signs of life. For the most part, it was a silent morning. There was a lone lioness staring at the sea- a common enough sight -and a little dot of red trudging his way.
"Amefungwa." He greeted her with a dip of his head. "All's well on the boarder. We should have a kill by nightfall for the pride. How is everyone holding up?"

As it was for Asali, Keme has felt that he too had seen slow downs in his part of the pride, and had found time to slink away while the others were clearing up the ends of the Minder business, and he found himself flowing back to the waters edge. Trudging through the soft sands, he didn't expect others to be there at the time - since the original break of insanity, many lions had found idle hands something liken to an itch, and had been dispersing to grab jobs left and right.
Of the few that had found there way, the leaders both had come together once again, making the young Minder a little nervous, as he came closer, head lowered, eyes looking over his red mane. "Good day, Lord, Lady." is all he could get out, before sitting a small distance away, curiousity begetting him.

A large green monitor lizard was basking in the sun on a rock. It had lived in the pride territory for as long as it could remember, but it didn't have a very good memory so that could mean years or just months. The fog that had lifted from the minds of the lions surrounding him had also had some effect on the reptile. It had been satisfied to spend time with a large red lion, eating his kill, riding on his back, but things were different now. The large lizard was wary around the large predators, and less tolerant if anyone came too close. The creature was nervous, and anyone getting too close in their search of their muse was greeted with a hiss or the whip of a tail. Things were different somehow, and all he knew was that he didn't like it.

Her mind felt less foggy than before, which really didnt help matters for Neph any. It only made the loss of her mate, and heart that much more real, that much more painful in her chest.
She paused when she noticed others gathering, she wasn't sure if she should join them, or continue silently back to her den, to where her cubs waited. She wanted so badly to shake away the sorrow that seemed to fill her, she actually missed smiling and enjoying life...but it seemed that all was taken away from her in a single day.
She started towards the group, she'd been a member since the current queen was small, and it didnt make her feel old, she wasn't much older than the lioness really it simply made her feel more...peaceful.

Even though Tree wasn't directly beside the lions gathering at the shoreline, she could still hear every word uttered between them. The same winds that blew through her branches to rustle the leafs clustered on her outstretched arms also gathered the words carried in the current of the winds. Tree's had remarkable hearing. Who would have guessed?
Splotches of light which filtered through the twisting arms of Tree and her siblings, dappled the ground with patches of light. The warmth was welcomed and Tree relished in the sensation.
As for the lions... Tree awaited their little formalities to cease and for them to dive into the true subject matter of the meeting. Or... at least what she assumed was a meeting. Tree watched as the familiar faces of those of the pride begin to emerge. Trekking out toward the shore. Silently Tree pondered the feeling of sand.

Unlike most of the pride members, Kali was actually rather pleased with the way the pride had changed since her arrival. The purple lioness was happy to feel truly useful again and the young girl had already started considering her future role in the pride. For now she helped with the hunting and it wouldn’t be long until she was able to bring large prey down by herself. She was dragging a small warthog back to the heart of the pride, happily wondering if she could take it to the young cubs that had been born recently.
It was difficult to ignore everyone’s feelings regarding the loss of the muses, of course, but for Kali it was nothing short of a blessing not hearing the creepy whispers. If they somehow returned, Kali had already decided she would leave the pride altogether, with or without her family.

The beach wasn't quite so empty now as a few lions and other creatures were starting to gather. Standing, the small healer turned to look along the sands warm amber eyes searching the shore for her friend and mate. Not spotting the huge hulking male, she bit her lip but told herself to stop being silly, he was somewhere close by as he always was. So instead she turned her attention to the slowly gathering cluster of lions. Was there new information about the pride? Knowing Ozark would want to know if there had been anything, she started towards the others, padding along quietly. She still didn't know what it think about it all, but she knew that she for certain hadn't felt settled since the goddess went missing...

Felt the tickle of the critters scurrying over her form. And the oh-so-gentle strokes of her sibling's arms against her own. Of her extended family, Tree was the most eager for conversation with the lioness whose 'muse' extended towards the trees. Despite her age, Tree was eager to strike conversation with the mammal. Otherwise, the lioness was just commonly listening to the whispers of the trees speaking amongst themselves. Secrets or gossip of the pride. The lions there were truly entertaining.
Each lion had their own story. All of which sucked in one's attention. Tree found herself pleased most when she saw cubs scampering around. Tree's form had been scored with claw marks at the base. Nothing too damaging.
Tree patiently sat. Still waiting for the lions to converse of the happenings of the pride. Maybe hoping to soak in some new information that she hasn't already gathered.

Exis had been sitting on the beach, staring into the water as he plotted his future shop as a crafter and how he was to learn the craft, even what he would craft as his first project. Admittedly, it took the young male a couple minutes to snap into what was going on on the other side of the little hill in the sand, he would make an awful hunter or solider.
Finally he rose to his feet and shook the sand off of him, then he lazily walked over with his growing mane rocking back and forth over his face, that was, until he saw his mother. Immediately he straightened up his back, stood proud and tall and went to her side, quietly. As he reached her he gave her a tender affectionate nudge and dipped his head to greet her.
Enitan sat in the shadows of the commotion, she had been there for quite a while and wondered if yet anyone would notice her. This game she played with the shadows on her side and the pride being the 'other team' with the objective of staying hidden. You could say she had a bit of a social disorder, or just an overly playful solitaire cub? Time would tell, but for now, she watched attentively to the gathering crowd.
