A couple, large yet simple classrooms, complete with desks and a chalkboard. Each contain a locked storage closet in the back where most of the teacher-requested books and supplies are stored. These classrooms are quick and easy access to the track behind the school, which makes it convenient for physical education and other types of lessons.

Jo entered the classroom and began writing notes on the board regarding the thirty six strategems. It was a basic foundation for Jo's teaching style and as there was no one to actually lecture yet as good a use of time as any other.

Nearly slamming into the door, Thomas managed to halt himself and catch his breath before going into the class room. Once inside he took a seat in the back and rested for a moment.

Turning towards the student Jo smiled and made a fluid motion towards the student before saying, Welcome, may I have your name? Also are you at all familiar with the thirty six strategems? As Jo spoke their voice shifted slightly between something akin to a high baritone and a low alto.

Thomas looked up at the sound of the teachers vice. He hadn't noticed him earlier, mostly because of his mad rush to get here. "Oh, me? I'm Thomas Claymore." He said with his usual smile. "The...thirty-six...strategems? Can't say I've heard of them, sir."

Emma chose a seat all the way in the front since she happened to be a diligent student, even though she hadn't made it to the last class because of her battle. She wondered how long this would take, she felt an increase in her power, a chance to learn more of her main style.

Jo raised an eyebrow at being called Sir and said simply while sitting on the edge of the desk and crossing long legs at the knees, I placed printouts in all the desks so glance over them as you can. Essentially they are the foundations of strategy in battle and can be easily applied to any fight whether between individuals or armies. The strategems are divided into six sub groups with the final strategem being retreat because when all else fails surviving to try again is the most powerful tool to defeat an opponent.
In the past there were rarely times when you wanted to simply beat up your opponent, the term defeat was closely linked with death and only by avoiding death could you once again seek to kill your opponent. That said if you face someone without killing intent then you should not back down, and if you want to achieve the best results you must often bet your life. When possible though it is best to get your opponent to bet their life while you move to survive and minimize your risk. To that end I suggest you glance over the print out, it is surprisingly simple and do not focus on completely understanding each saying, instead just learn what each is for now and experience and reflection will teach you the meanings in time. As Emma had entered when Jo started speaking she was simply motioned to sit as she liked while the teacher spoke.

Emma could have sworn she'd read about these when she was one or two year younger. Emma read through this for what seemed like a third time for her, but she was done quickly, she analyzed the sayings to the best of her abilities and was silent once more. She'd done most, if not all of these things already and she'd only been in battle four times, she wondered if she knew them already if she couldn't remember them.

He assumed he'd just have to read the printout on the desk he picked, all the way in the back. The first thing he noticed was this wasn't about the combat he was thinking of, but it was still there, in its own form.

Thomas looked at the hand out, reading it as carefully as he could. A lot of these things make sense. He didn't like the last one, retreat. He never ran form a fight, despite how bad it got or could get. He stopped reading when someone else walked into the room carrying a large scythe. "Wow..."

As several students went through the printouts in the desk Jo nodded and said to the class in general, Now who can tell me how many total battle strategies can you learn to use from what is written on the printouts? The question was sharp and suggested that an answer was expected.

She liked being the only one who used a scythe as far as she could tell, it suited her perfectly. Her eyes continued to scan over the paper, she wanted to make sure to remember this. It was something she could really use in the future, a strategy. Emma looked at Jo and then thought for a second on what she'd read, there was one that didn't sit right with her. "Thirty-five." It was number seven that she didn't expect to ever learn, the people around here would never fall for something like that.
