Well 2009 is almost over, and I just wanted to give a well thought out review of your progress and regression of this year. I'll try to keep it short and sweet as my memory is kind of foggy since it's after mid-terms. So for now I'll post the major top 5 or so events....
The Good:
1. Nice job on the improvements in communication! Hopefully you will continue to keep it up. I like the few times you made the global banner thing when things like avatar system crashed, gold stopped working, ect. They work better than posting an announcement which is usually and most often ignored by some of us. Lanzer special thanks to you for your announcement on the unbanning the smoking ban. Though it seemed to take forever hey it was worth it. Kudos to you good sir.
Also you guys are listening to the users a whole lot more and able to get things moving much faster. I understand clearly that times are hard and everybody is shaking the piggy bank for a few cents. Still thank you for listening and responding in timely manners in some of the issues we have around Gaia. We know there's a lot of them.
2. The Forum Improvements!Again nice work hope you take the time next year to improve the forums even more. Though I don't like the placement of some of the forums on the layout/landing pages, it's a job well done. I also love the quick post feature and hope that next year you add the basic coding features. I also hope that next year you fix this issue with the bold and italic thing. (or is it working now?)
3.The Navigation system Good or bad, Purple, light blue, or dark blue: It's nice touch and though I don't use the footer cause I loved the header more. Still it looks nice and after a while it's pretty easy to use. Continue to work out some of the kinky users are stating in the SF and you'll be good to go. I like the blue as it's my second favorite color next to purple anyway. Plus I don't like the whole Gothic-like Gaia anyway. This place should be brighter.
4. The Mini events: The SOS and Camp Chaos: those were some the few events that I actively participated in this year and they were short, sweet, and rather fun. I expected more mini events from Gaia next year. Least I bump up my older threads from this year!
5: The Guild improvements: Again next work and hopefully by this time next year. We will have features like "My guild post" at the very least.
NOW sadly...
The Bad
1. Venus World: I still want to punch you in spleen for this. NEVER AGAIN DO ANYTHING LIKE THAT AGAIN! I don't care if Bill Gates sleeps with you for 4 billion dollars! NEVER AGAIN! Also did Male avatars ever get to enter the world? Is the link even still up? What happen? UGH. Still sexism is sexism. You all went against the moral fabric of this place and brought unneeded and unwanted realism to this place which for most of us is an escape from real world basis.
2. The Halloween event: Yeah not my favorite event this year and it's one of your major ones. *sigh* most of the time I am too busy with school and work to actively join in the fun. However this year, UGH too confusing and I hated all that face-book tie in. While the manga was okay and I got some chuckles yeah it was all lukewarm to me. Still I feel that everyone who was a part of it should have kept their skins just like all those other times.
3. Smoking ban: Yeah way to end the year. I won't rip the scab off a flesh wound with a long winded lecture but... just don't do anything like that again. Especially without the go ahead from Lanzer and/or other staff members. Those who had a hand in this I hope they are still sitting in a corner with a dunce cap on their heads.
Also never speak down to us again. Some of you staff members have a real problem with that and you need to stop it. You do have users that are older than you, same age, and all that. So please stop talking to us like we are stupid as some of us help pay the fees for this site so keep that in mind before you start talking to us like toddlers. Most of us are either parents or have parents thus you don't have to tell us how to live our lives nor speak to us like gave birth to us.
4: Trading pass/ Botting ban: This was/is a major problem. A lot users have made threads about this issue this year. Please work on this so that the majority of users can get their trading passes back and continue to serve the MP and the exchange. Or so users like myself can start using these features without fear.
5. Mini-Games and Mini Worlds: While you worked on Rally Thanks to the users who replied on the 1st page you haven't really worked on Rally but thanks for the Garage though. Please start fixing up the others mini games and worlds. I do want to enjoy some of the mini worlds and games. But as they are they are just old and tired. Try to listen to some of the improvements we are making here in the SF and have at it next year. Thank you
Have a wonderful Holiday season staff of Gaia and I look forward of wasting more time on Gaia next year. For better or worst of course.

Well those are my praises and complaints. I'm sure a lot of other members here have yours so feel free to post your owns or add to mines. In addition, I don't dislike the cash shop and all the rigs as I don't buy them and most of the items just don't appeal to me. But I'm so sure that's a hot topic for some of you still.
