{When The Ghosts Come Out to Play}

October was here, and little by little, Illumision Forest was coming to life. The Spicae, Circini and the Ceta were now fully aware of the presence of the Ghosts, and quite a number of them were now coming into the wood, hoping to have an encounter with one of them while they still had the chance.
La, la, lalalala..~
The sounds of Magic's constant humming was louder now that it was Halloween was coming, and though she didn't mean to, she was scaring those few Gladiers away.
No wonder it felt like she was so alone in this forest.
She looked around, longing for some form of companionship. The only thing she found, though, was that there was nothing but trees as far as she could see, and this is where the little ghost had her bright idea.
She climbed up the tree, slowly but surely. Her paws could only take her so far at a time, not to mention the fact that she wasn't exactly the best climber in all of Illumision Forest. She got up, eventually, though, and she was glad when she did.
"I'm up! I'm up!"
Her squeals made the birds fly out of the trees, causing a bit of commotion and surprising her momentarily. She giggled softly, but when she did..
THUD!
Bye bye, treetop..

October winds always meant but one thing. Ghosts. Hoards of them by the dozen. It had gotten worse over the season cycles now that the ghosts have realized that the Glades were their playground once the month of October fell and they could interact with the living whether they feared or welcomed them with open arms was a different story altogether.
Martin lazed in the grass under one of the many trees of the fields, his eyes still adjusting to but the shine of glowing plants and the stars in the black velvet sky. It was perfect tonight when the weather had just left summer behind and winter began to creep up.
La, la, lalalala..~
Mischief was afoot. Martin could hear it. His ears twitched as his paws tensed. The sounds didn't seem to get further or closer but they did seem to be moving. With a movement of an eyebrow, he peeked around, seeing where the humming was coming from. Luckily for him, most Gladiers were gone from the fields. Perhaps it would be a good idea for him to take leave as well...
The voice came from above? behind? He gave up looking. Not that he had put much effort in the first place. Laying his head back into his paws, his eyelids shut promptly. Mere seconds later, he was greeted by a Ghost. Yellow with pigtails in a colour as bright as her fur.
Really? I come out here for ONE night and I can't even get some sleep? He thought, but didn't voice it. "Hello." He said cautiously, not moving from his position.

She opened her eyes to see a serious-looking Ghost looking at her. For just a moment, she was silent, fixing her pigtails and wondering who in the world this was, and how she could have missed him earlier. After a few seconds, she giggled, amazed at how easy it was to find companionship by falling out of a tree. This seriously beats running around the forest all alone..
"Hello~!" she answered, moving closer to her new-found.. "friend". As she got nearer, she began to notice how uncomfortable he was, from the way he looked at her to the fact that he wasn't even moving.
"Are.. You.. Okay.. Mister..?"

Perhaps tonight wasn't going to be so boring after all. A ghost had fallen from a tree, which arguably is the most out of the ordinary thing that has happened to him since he entered the afterlife.
Martin's eyes narrowed as he looked back at this bright bundle of ectoplasm. "I'm fine." He said in reply to her slow and elongated question. He pressed his glasses further up upon his ghostly nose and shifted further from her as she seemed to get closer and closer into his personal bubble. "And you?" He said quickly. She had just fallen out of a tree, of course it was only polite to ask whether or not she was alright. "You should be more careful not to... fall from anymore trees." The thought had sounded a lot better in his head than out loud from his mouth. Nevertheless, he said it, hoping the girl would take his advice from then on and play it safe.

Well, it seemed to Magic that Mister Quiet was actually beginning to open up to her, which was, well, good. If things went her way, the conversation would somehow last all night, and maybe even longer.
She tilted her head to the side in response to his question. "I'm fine.. I think." she said, nodding her head and giggling just a little bit. She wasn't sure if he was asking her if she was alright because he was just being polite, or if he genuinely cared. If he did actually care, then it was really sweet, but if not, then it doesn't make him a bad person now, does it? She jumped closer so that she was standing about a foot away and grinned. "Yeap! Will do!" She paused for a second and smiled again. "I'm Magic! What's your name?"
