Shadow: The Battle Against Hatsuko
In a land that is of a different dimension then ours, there is a world, whose inhabitance are said to be the most powerful people anywhere. Their power comes not from advanced weapons, but by their control over their energy and the energy around them. Most of the people of this world are peaceful, instead of using their power to gain land, they use their power to help make their land more beautiful and to help get the resources so they can survive. There is one man, however, that uses his power for selfish causes, to expand his land, to create an army of dark creatures to do his bidding, and to learn the forbidden usage of their energy; black magic. That mans name, the man who caused the suffering in this land, is Hatsuko. There is a legend in that world that says that he who can weald the sacred sword, Diamond Edge, he can defeat all who challenge him. To return peace in this land, there are two people who will attempt to obtain that blade; their names are Shadow and Blaze. The two are both very powerful warriors who use their energy effectively with different elements; Shadow uses Water and Earth, while Blaze uses Fire and Wind. Together, they will fight the dark army, travel though the mysterious dark forest and inevitably fight Hatsuko. They may lose their lives, but they will benefit the entire world, and maybe even the whole universe. When their battle is over, if they are successful, their names will be put down in history for all eternity as the saviors of their world. This is their story.
It was early in the morning, Shadow had just woken up and had gotten dressed, and he was doing his morning training, knowing that today was the day he and Blaze were to leave in search of the legendary weapon that they will use to finally kill the one who has been causing all the death and problems in their world. As he was finishing his training, Blaze ran in through the door, stopping right in front of him.
Blaze:” Shadow! Hurry up or we’ll be late!”
Shadow:” You could’ve knocked, and I know that we need to hurry, but it’s important to train so we can be in top condition for our adventure, we don’t need to stop every ten minutes. Well, let’s go.”
The two headed out to the town square where they met with their teacher, Xenor. As they got there they both bowed at him to show their respect, with him bowing in return.
Xenor:” Ah, you’ve made it, today you two will be heading off to seek the legendary blade, Diamond Edge. But there will be someone joining you, to help you on your journey; she will be helping you find the weapon you need. She is also a demi-god, meaning that she can help you locate the weapon sooner.”
Blaze:” Awww, I was hoping we could find it the old fashion way, just running aimlessly. When we are just being shown how to get to our objective is no fun.”
Xenor: “SHUSH! That would take far too long, and you will need all the time you can get to defeat him. Well, young lady, you need to come introduce yourself.”
Ren:” Hello, my name is Ren, nice to meet you. I will be joining you to help you find the weapon you are looking for.”
Blaze:” (at shadow) Hey Shadow, she looks a lot like you, and I didn’t know you had a sister. (out loud) Hello, I’m blaze nice to meet you.”
Shadow:” (at Blaze) I don’t have a sister, you know that. (At Ren) Hello Ren, I’m Shadow, nice to make your acquaintance.”
Shadow and Blaze bow to Ren, who in turn bows back, then the trio head out of the village and into the Mysterious Forest. The Mysterious Forest was dark and had an odd energy to it since Hatsuko had taken control of that portion of the world. There were many of his dark creatures there that were guarding it from trespassers. Shadow and Blaze were both calmly walking through the forest as Ren was running past them trying to get them to hurry.
Ren:” Come on you to, stop walking so slow because the sooner we get that weapon for one of you, the sooner we can get out of this creepy forest.”
Shadow:” You know, we will have to go to his castle after we get the weapon, and if this place, only a distant part of his territory looks like this then just imagine how his castle will look.”
Blaze:”Ya, and if it’s too dark for you, you can always turn back and we’ll find it eventually.”
Shadow, annoyed by Blazes comment, bonks him on the head, resulting in Blaze rubbing his head where Shadow hit him. Shadow then grabs a broken of branch and breaks off the ends.
Shadow:” How about instead of criticizing her, how about you light this branch on fire to use as a torch, and don’t make anymore rude remarks.”
Blaze:” Ouch, that hurt, but fine, I’ll light the branch; just don’t hit me next time.”
Blaze quickly lit the branch on fire, and Shadow wrapped the twig in some rocks he made with his energy. As soon as they lit the torch, several of the dark creatures appeared. Shadow quickly handed the torch to Ren.
Shadow:” Hold this for a second please. Blaze, let’s take these things out quickly.”
Blaze:”Sure, this will be fun.”
Shadow and blaze both create swords out of their energy yet used different elements each, Shadow used earth while Blaze used fire. The two charged into battle against the dark creatures and were able to quickly dispose of them, their bodies turning into energy. Without another word the three continued walking through the forest, taking out any monster who attacked them and followed Rens’ directions. Eventually, they made it to an area with odd ruins of some sort. In the center of the ruins is the legendary sword, Diamond Edge.
Ren:” Ok, we’re here, this is where the weapon is, and you need to get that weapon to defeat the evil one.”
Blaze: “Ok, that seems easy enough, I’ll grab it now.”
Blaze goes to lift the large sword, but was unable to make it even budge.
Blaze: “Man, this is heavy, it has to weigh at least a ton, Shadow, now you try to lift it.”
Shadow grabs the large sword and seems to lift it with little trouble; he was even able to toss the weapon into the air with little trouble.
Ren: “It seems that the blade has chosen Shadow as it’s wielder, I’m sorry, you weren’t able to lift the sword Blaze, but as we know, the Sword chooses it’s wielder, not the other way around, but I know that there is a weapon out there for you.”
Suddenly, an odd light envelops Shadow, the light was intensely bright, partially blinding Blaze and Ren as it disappeared as quickly as it appeared, slightly changing Shadows’ appearance by giving him crimson eyes and giving him a pair of ivory wings.
Blaze: “Hey Ren, do you know anything about what happened to Shadow?”
Ren: “So it’s true, Shadow was one of the two lost demi-gods. So he must have had that power stored away when he fell to the land of mortals, to protect him from being used as a weapon by the dark lord. Well, let’s get to his castle quickly.
Soon the trio left the Mysterious Forest and made it to the Dark lord’s castle. They quickly scaled to the top of the tower and met the dark lord Hatsuko.
Hatsuko: “Greetings Mortals, I am your lord, Hatsuko, and I will—“
Blaze: “Your names Hatsuko? Hahaha, that’s a girls’ name! But you only will have one opponent for this battle, and that’s him, Shadow.”
Shadow: “I’m not one for small talk, let’s get this over with.”
Shadow charged into the battle with diamond edge out, but the dark field Hatsuko made was to powerful for the simple attack to break through. Shadow then calmed down, and concentrated his energy into the sword. As Hatsuko sent an attack at Shadow, Shadow retaliated with a shot from the tip of his blade, killing Hatsuko in an instant, and the castle seemed to return to a peaceful atmosphere.
Shadow: “That seemed too easy, but it seemed to work. Well, let’s go home, the weather seems nice outside.”
They left the castle and returned home after their long journey. A few weeks after their adventure, out of boredom, Shadow decided to set out for more adventures, and Blaze left shortly after him, but he was also in search of a weapon of his own.
Blaze:” Shadow! Hurry up or we’ll be late!”
