Raven had gone to the Leo outpost after the whole, ‘spider’ incident, and ate until she could hardly move. She wasn’t sure why, but it seemed like eating a ton of stupid things would make her feel better about all that had happened. Sadly, it only made her feel very, very full.
Which was all right, anything was better than being upset and hungry. The blonde gave a heavy sigh, walking back towards Virgo outpost, figuring she would poke around there, looking for any traces of just where Jett could have gone…hopefully she’d be able to find something, though she wasn’t holding out much hope.
This whole ordeal in Space was just…difficult. Losing Jett…was hard. She knew that Darwin and Candice were still all right, but she hadn’t seen Mary around. Did some damn giant spider squish her like that one girl had been squished? And Jett, did he get eaten? Or…stolen? Maybe he ended up back on earth? She truly had no idea, and just sighed. She’d find him, someday. She was sure of it. If it meant he was dead, then she’d see him again when she died, and she’d punch him for being such a damn wimp.
Raven just shook her head, giving another sigh, beginning to walk slowly back to the Virgo outpost. If she didn’t find Jett there, then she was at least going to try and find Mary…if that silly girl was dead too, damn. She’d be even more pissed. It wasn’t…None of this…
Stupid people..Stupid friends. She was better off without them. Less of a need to worry about things. But, the blonde had to admit. It was nice to have them. Nice to have the warmth of someone’s hand wrapped around hers, nice to have someone that was concerned for her well being. There were pros and cons to the whole thing, but…
Thinking about it didn’t help. She had to take action. She had to fight. Fight for her friends, and fight for herself. This was war, a war to stay alive, and she would win this damn war, and she would make damn sure her friends stayed alive with her. No matter what.
Raven nodded, giving a little smile, then continued walking, seeming more energized from her self pep talk.

She'd been staring at the road again. She was alone, again, after that boy Eric left. She pulled at her dirty school uniform's skirt listlessly, starting to tear a seam in the end. Mary felt devoid of life again. Agra would not respond, as though her internal monologue for him had just up and vanished. Jett was missing... she hadn't seen Raven or Darwin at all. She hadn't seen anyone really, at all.
They were all... gone.
It was by chance she looked up. Lilac eyes glanced up, not even at a hint of movement, white blonde hair brushing her chin as her head followed her eyes. She stared unseeing for a while, looking out at the endless stars. A person walked across her vision and she barely noticed them.
...That looks like Raven... she thought dully. Her eyes closed and snapped open, the girl suddenly aware. Raven! She stared at the walking girl for a moment before she moved. Mary stood up in a flash, a hand reaching out for Raven.
... But... Raven didn't go searching for her...
Her arm retracted, her mouth half open to call the other girl's name. A wash of loneliness fell over her and she looked down at the road. She couldn't call out to her. She couldn't do it. Not to the girl who hadn't even gone looking for her. Not to the girl she thought she was friends with.
Even when she so desperately wanted to.
"....Ra..ven..." she said softly, eyes closing to stave off tears. She would not cry... not now, not here. Not with monsters about, and senshi and things that could take advantage of her. No, she wouldn't cry. Not because she missed Raven with all her being. Not because she just wanted to run over and grab onto her and never let the girl go.
Not when her heart devoted so much emotion to that girl.

It was hardly a whisper, but Raven stopped in her tracks. Was someone calling to her? She sighed, then just shook her head. Who would be dumb enough to just be out in the surrounding like this? It was suicide, stupid reckless suicide.
…And yet here she was, walking between the two outposts with no senshi, with no form of protection, with no form of companionship whatsoever. Oh well. The blonde sighed, lifting a hand to her forehead, rubbing it gently. There were pros and cons of actually looking to see if she had heard something. On one hand, it could be someone she knew, or just someone to talk with…but on the other, it could very easily be a trick. Had she lost her mind up here in space? Had she finally given in to delusions, started hearing things?
Or was it some monster, trying to trick her into stopping so it could have a lovely snack. Her blue eyes flicked around the road, looking for anything that could be used as a weapon in case it was a creepy crawly spider again…or something worse. Maybe one of the squirrels that Darwin kept talking about.
Yeah. It was time to turn around. Without a doubt. Part of her hoped it was just a trick of her imagination, but still another part hoped it was a person. There was a small part that even hoped for a monster, just so she could maybe question it on where Jett had gone.
Slowly, Raven turned, eyes narrowed. She blinked, giving a little frown, before swallowing, then breaking into a relieved smile. “Mary!”

Her head snapped back up, lilac eyes wide. She had... heard? From all the way... over there? Raven was.. smiling... at her? Mary's mouth opened for a moment in surprise. She took a few breaths, chin quivering. The image of Raven grew closer and closer as her eyes blurred. Why was the image moving and rocking back and forth? Why were her cheeks wet? Why... why was she doing this to herself? Deluding herself to thinking Raven was really this close... why was sh--
Mary ran into Raven and clung to her for dear life, tears streaming down her face. She buried her face in the cheerleaders clothing, arms tight around her back. She didn't care her face was just about pressed into Raven's chest. She didn't care that she was only going to get hurt worse later.
Raven was real and not some figment of imagination. This girl, this girl was real. This girl that her heart devoted so much emotion too for no reason at all was alive. She was alive.
"Raven, Raven, Raven. Ravenravenravenraven!" she cried into the other girl's shirt, shaking ever so slightly. Even though ti would hurt later, even though it would bring her pain, she wasn't alone.
She wasn't alone.

Raven blinked in surprise, then laughed softly, the sound a kind one. She sighed, wrapping an arm around Mary, bringing her other arm up, stroking the girl’s hair. “Hey there…Are you crying, Agrabah? Did you miss me that much? What’s wrong? There’s got to be something wrong…I mean, you said my name. My real name.”
The blonde just sighed softly, running her fingers through Mary’s hair. She was so happy to see the girl. It meant she was alive…It meant she wasn’t dead or…or eaten, or in pieces, or bloody and hurting.
But…
Raven just held her tighter, making a soothing sort of noise. She did seem to be hurting…Had she been attacked? Had something happened? She really hoped not, she…She just wanted her friend to be all right now, and she would make sure she was all right. If she had to go and take Mary, Darwin and Candice and lock them all up somewhere, she would make damn sure that they were safe from now on. She would not lose them like she lost Jett.
“Talk to me, Agrabah…Mary. What’s on your mind? I’m not used to seeing you like this…” She gave a little smile, then gently pulled away from the other girl, wiping at her tears.
She was still so glad the other girl was all right…So glad indeed.

Her unintentional sobbing died down to sniffles as Raven pulled back and dried her tears. Mary felt like a little kid whose mom had left them at day care. She chewed on her bottom lip for a bit before replying. She felt awkward and suddenly embarrassed that she'd done that. Why, she had no idea.
"When I went for a walk at Leo... and came back... you were all... gone... You all... left... without me..." she said softly, looking away from Raven and keeping her eyes on the road. It hurt to admit it to her. Deep in her chest it felt like someone was squeezing and she pressed a hand to her chest, grabbing the front of her uniform with a hand.
"I thought... you all... abandoned me..." A stab of pain shot through her and she squeezed her eyes shut. She didn't want to do this... she didn't want... to admit this... She just wanted everything to be okay again.
Everything had to be okay again.

Raven blinked at her, then sighed. “Mary…I’m honestly glad you got left behind. I’m glad you went for a walk and didn’t come with us this time. We…We were at Virgo…Darwin Jett and I…somehow we all managed to meet up there…” Her voice trailed off for a moment, then she shook her head before going on. “There was this…giant spider monster that attacked, Mary. Jett disappeared, I can’t find him anywhere. And…and someone died…”
Raven shuddered now, wrapping her arms around herself. “Someone died, Mary, and I think Jett’s dead too. I thought you were dead! I’m so glad you’re not, and I’m so glad you weren’t with us. You’re safe, and you stayed safe, that’s what matters…I’m sorry you felt abandoned…but…but you remained safe…”
The blonde ran a hand through her hair and turned away from the younger girl. She was shaken up about the whole ordeal that much was clear. Now that she had found one of the people she had been sure was dead, she wasn’t sure if she was relieved, or still angry. It was somewhere between the two emotions.
There was something…something wrong with Raven still…Perhaps it was the lack of control that the girl was feeling, maybe that was what best described it. She didn’t like not knowing where Jett was, she hadn’t liked not knowing where Mary was.
There was nothing she could do about Jett at the moment, but she could keep Mary close, and dry her tears, and make sure she didn’t cry again. She would gain some control over this damn situation, she would figure out a way to keep herself sane.
Once again, Raven turned, taking Mary into her arms, holding her close. “You’re safe…”

Mary held onto the other girl and nuzzled her cheek. People were dying... why were they dying? Why were people going missing? What were they even doing out here in the middle of space to begin with? The gryphonkind didn't know but she didn't think now was a good time to ask.
Raven needed comfort. As did Mary. She hadn't realized it, but she really liked Raven. She devoted a lot of emotion to the cheerleader for just about no reason. It didn't make sense to her. Mary rubbed the girl's sides and gingerly pressed her lips to the other's cheek, in a sort of comforting gesture. It was all instinctual, she didn't realize what she was doing until she'd done it.
She paused for a moment before just hugging the other girl back, her bright red cheeks hidden in the crook of Raven's neck.
"You too..."

Raven blinked, then gave a gentle sigh. Mary had just kissed her cheek? Huh. Had she just opened up another can of worms with this? Space really was making everyone crazy…was it making people lesbians too? The blonde was quiet, gently running her fingers through Mary’s hair. She never thought she was attracted to girls, ever. But, first there was Candice…but that was all the fault of that damn Space Whale…right? She had made out with Jett right after that…
Jett…
She felt her eyes begin to burn and glared at the sparkling rainbow road ahead of her. Stupid ******** rainbow. Whoever said that Rainbows were happy things was surely just on some sort of mind altering drugs. Rainbows were one of the stupidest things on the earth…Raven hesitated, then scoffed at the irony of her thought. On the earth, huh? Well, this rainbow was about as far from earth as you could get.
“Mary, you stay safe, okay? If you die…I’ll kill you. I swear to god I’ll kill you if you die. And you’ll die again. For leaving me. You can’t leave me. I won’t let any of you bastards leave me. Not you, not Darwin, not Candice, and not Jett. I’ll find Jett, and I’ll tie you four up, and you’ll stay with me. Forever.” Oh boy, Raven. Way to sound like a freak. Tying your friends up just to keep them alive? How would that help anything at the end of the day?
It would make her feel better, and that’s what she wanted right now. She wanted to feel better, to get her cheerleaders confidence back. She wanted to get out of here and never have to think about this again. Ever. For as long as she lived.
She wanted to eradicate all rainbows from existence. All of them. Forever.

Mary chuckled softly, lilac eyes closed. She liked feeling Raven's fingers through her hair and let out a hum of contentness. She chuckled again as Raven muttered something about tying all four of them up and never letting them go.
"I won't die Raven. I won't leave you all alone..." Because I don't wanna be all alone again either, she added silently, nuzzling her cheek again. The younger girl pulled back slightly to smile at Raven.
"We'll get out here alive, I know it. And besides, there haven't been anymore Space Whales or those squirrels that Darwin always mutters about!" The girl tried to lighten the mood, and totally ignore the fact that she felt really really warm next to Raven, and wanted to kiss her cheek again.

Raven nodded, giving a little smile, “Well…Mary, I’m going to have to trust you, I think. If you really think that we’ll all get out of here alive, then I’m going to believe that. I’m going to believe it and hold you to it, and if you die, I’m going to be really, really angry, Just so you know.”
She gave a little laugh, then just held the other girl close. She wasn’t going to let Mary die, that much was for sure…Mary was important to her…nearly as important as Jett, she figured. Nearly, at least. But, whatever. She would protect Mary just like she would protect Jett. Everything would work out all right. She would make sure of it, even if it was the last thing she did.
