A few nights ago he'd decided to try a whole different place to gather energy. It wasn't the norm by any stretch of the imagination, in fact he was clueless about where things where or what things were. All he knew was there were stands packed with people. He'd done that much research, he wasn't interested in racing to do further research.

He wasn't among those in the stands, that would be too obvious. He was well aware that he stood out in his uniform, he knew his clothing was not fitting with modern fashion. That was why he was back behind concrete buildings. Grass under his feet was also a good thing, his heels didn't make a single sound.

To be honest he was lost, he just knew he was at a race track, as for just where he was...he was very foggy on that. Already though he had a little pearl of energy in a pocket. Someone would be finding him, if he hadn't already been found, in the bathroom stall seated on the toilet seat. Maybe he should have done the extra research? Either way that was neither here nor there, it was too late. He was here and he was stalking for energy, and what energy there was. It seemed to hum in the air with the thrill of the people and the sound the cars. It wasn't a circular track, a straight track with stands of drunk and screaming people. All that energy he just had to stalk around the outer areas and grab what he could, how sad.

Among everything else, he almost missed the signature Dark energy of the Negaverse. It didn't have the more potent kick of others like Painite or Zinkenite, but never the less...

In his uniform, which only really differed from some riding leathers in that it was magical and self repairing, a trait Realgar wished passed along to their wearer, he fit into the crowds, especially down near the track, than his fellow Agent, and he'd been using that to his advantage, and not for the first time.

Cars didn't thrill him as much as motorcycles, but some of the appeal was still there, and the energy draw... it was like an orchard, ripe for the picking, and since most of the attendees literally expected to walk away happily exhausted, he stood out even less.

It took him a few minutes to spot the other agent moving around, trying hard to be as inconspicuous as possible, but when he picked him out, he approached him slowly, hands folded on his chest as he sidled in that direction, waiting to take the other agents measure. He looked young, but a lot of them did. He still wasn't sure how to feel about that.

"Should I cuss you out for invading my turf, or congratulate you on stumbling on a location where people expect to go home tired?" He asked, quietly, as he approached, which apparently was supposed to pass for some form of 'Hi we're on the same team'.

Well, looked like the other agent wandering about had found him. Turning to get a glance at them he tilted his head a bit and shifted his weight. Short, only three inches over five foot, he was petite and indeed young. "I didn't know we now doubled as dogs and marked territory, or are we more akin to territorial cats moving about the African plains?" He questioned casually. A certain confidence about him.

"That aside I figured I'd try somewhere new. It's best to keep things a little different, no territory for senshi to seek out a particular target." An early lesson he'd been given and continued to follow. He did not like the idea of having his a** handed to him by some 'better then thou' senshi.

Glancing over the other agent he took in the uniform. Oh yes, there was certainly a healthy amount of variation in the uniforms agents wore. Slowly he approached the other, steps measured and as casual as they could be. He took his time, no need to rush the few feet to the other.

"So what name were you blessed with?"

The older man turned up the corner of his mouth in a smile, but the humor in it was as faint as the ashes of a dying fire. Not much about him seemed like a man who easily took humor in things, not now anyway, but there was still something there that might, theoretically, be entirely extinguished or rekindled.

"Realgar." He offered, extending a hand to shake. They were after all, on the same side, and there was more energy here than he could collect easily. Being able to do a mass draw would be easier, but he didn't know how long it took to catch the attention of someone to get a promotion. This wasn't exactly a normal nine to five.

"Coulda fooled me, the guy who recruited me gave me the feeling I wasn't much more than a junkyard dog on a long chain." He added, a crisp, sort of joke.

He nodded at the track vaguely as cars tore by, their noise almost deafening as the resulting howls of the crowd, cheering for either victory of destruction...perhaps both.

"They do motorcycle races sometimes too... but if you're looking for action that moves around, you have to keep an ear out for the..." He paused... and this time the smile was a little more genuine, if predatory... excited even. "...The not so legal stuff."

He was taller, a more average height for men, somewhere around... well... a minimum of 5'10 would be a good guess, but with his heavy boots it was harder to get a clean estimate. His face didn't indicate that he was even into his thirties yet, but the cold ashes in his eyes might have made even that a little more difficult to estimate, depending on the audience.

"How about you?"

Another one who seemed older than they were, not to say the man in front of him was as young as he himself. But it seemed something had hardened them, he wouldn't ask. It wasn't his place, and there were more important things to occupy himself with; such as energy gathering.

That name, that sparked something in his face. A look of knowing, knowledge. This officer he knew, though only by name. "Mmm, the one who recruited me didn't speak in such terms or words. Rather that we were fighting an old war rekindled, against a power hungry alien Queen." A freedom fighter, that's how he'd seen it.

"If anything I'd call the senshi dogs. They certainly yap enough." All that yapping about them, the Negaverse, being thieves and killers, wrong, and whatever else they spouted. It was all very annoying and angering even.

"This isn't my scene." Glancing around them. The sound bothered him, though the pressure around his chest as the cars went by wasn't bad, the smells were iffy, oil and gasoline weren't ones he was fond of. "I'm here for the energy, a place filled with people." But with his uniform he was sure to be noticed. "As much as I may not like this scene I wouldn't be against going to illegal races in order to gain more energy." Branch out further and gather more energy from more people.

"Benitoite. Dahlia told me about you." He added the last part with a smile in place as he took the others hand to shake. "A pleasure to meet the one she spoke highly of."
PostPosted: Thu Oct 06, 2011 4:43 pm

"Did she?" He sounded surprised, raising his eyebrows slightly. So Dahlia knew this kid, that was interesting. She hadn't mentioned many of the other Agents she knew, so maybe he should ask her about the young man later, just to get her thoughts.

"Goddamn yip dogs is right." He hadn't run into many of them yet, but Ixion had been a nasty little terrier gnawing on his ankle... and Castor... he wasn't even going to get started on the goddamn Featherduster.

"...You probably wouldn't enjoy the underground races then." He added. "I like hunting here. It's familiar. It is my scene. Wanted to go professional for a while...." He admitted. It was the first time he'd admitted it to anyone, he wasn't even sure Dahlia had looked deep enough to know.

"Indeed she did, I believe among other things she said you were passionate for the job. She believes you'll do everything necessary for the job." Speaking his words slowly, watching to see any reaction from the older agent. If he were to ask her he was sure Dahlia would say good things of him, she seemed to like him quite a bit. She really was a lovely feline to have around.

"Wait till you start hearing about what a thief or a killer you are. It becomes old rather quickly. And no matter how you explain it's not theft, every taking that is, they don't care. Though there are a few who seem rather...on the fence." He spoke, the last sentence as close to a purr as a person could get, something of a mischievous smile coming to settle upon his young features. "I' have plans to try and at least corrupt one such senshi, remove some magic from there side and bring it to ours." He had to still work on that, and he would. He needed to talk with Painite and Dahlia together and plan things out. But right now things were too busy to permit such time to discuss.

"No, not likely." But if it could net a lot of energy he'd suffer through it if he had to. It was good to change things up, keep the senshi unsure where you'll pop up next. "I assume something happened. I can't say I have any such dreams of making a name for myself. But...I can imagine it hurt to be unable to follow the dream...." Hesitant, unsure if his words were right. He did feel for such a loss. But was it by choice or force, was it an unwanted loss of a dream? He couldn't read this one.

"Yeah, got lectured by a freaking kid that I was a monster, and then there was the guy with giant wings hanging on his a** who kept making d**k comments." he rolled his eyes, clearly not impressed by the last one. "Made it hard to tell if the a*****e was trying to fight or hit on me. Didn't waste my breath trying to tell him I don't swing that way, they don't really listen anyway." Then of course there had been "Pinkie" who had fallen down and then jumped up wearing a new outfit... also with a** wings.... bizzare.

He trailed off, letting Benitotite hint at his plans to try and corrupt a senshi, and giving him an half smile in encouragement at the idea. He hadn't talked to them yet, but the senshi they had on their side seemed like a decent sort from a distance.

The silence changed quality when Benitotite asked the last, particularly probing questions, and he squirmed slightly, the arms, back folded across his chest, shifted slightly, more as though they were a shield then a posture of confidence, and his gaze drifted back to some unfocused spot on the track in front of them, though he was clearly seeing another location, another time.

"... Crash on the track." He offered, after several beats of silence, as a new line of racers geared up at the starter line. "...I don't think anyone still knows what caused it. One guy went down, me and another just got tangled up in the mess. I made it off the track alive. They didn't."

He hated that it was still so raw, like peeling back a bandage and finding that the wound had rotted and deepened over time instead of healing. It was a risk, dying on the track. You flew around like Hermes, relying on technology to keep yourself from dying if you lost control... but he just couldn't get his head around it still. The impact stayed lodged somewhere unreachable, like having shrapnel left behind that no surgery had been able to remove.

"...Still race. Just.... stopped aiming for pro." He added quietly.

"I have yet to meet the one with the buttwings." And he was glad he hadn't. While it wasn't that he didn't swing that way, because he did, it was more the crudeness of such speech. He had a bit of a dislike for certain words and things being spoken. He was sure, by the few words from Realgar, that he'd have an issue with that Eternal. "No, they don't listen." And he didn't think you could beat any sense in to them either.

Watching, noting the far off look, he turned his gaze slowly to the track. Giving the older time to speak, to find himself. Whatever it was that had happened wasn't good, not by the distance look and the silence nor the body language he was seeing. And then he spoke, somehow he'd expected similar to that for a story.

"....It's good that you made it." What else could he say? He couldn't understand such a thing, he had nothing to compare it to. And he wasn't in the hobby of saying empty words. He might stretch things a bit to help someone else, and to bring someone around to their way of thinking, but he didn't outright lie. He was honest.

Nodding his head slowly, something like PTSD. At least it sounded similar, but not knowing it all and not about to probe he wouldn't label it. It wasn't a secret like the others, nothing so private, but it was something few knew about him. "I paint, water colors, and I garden." He offered, his way of extending an olive branch, offering something personal about himself a secret love of his.

"Does growing cat-grass and catnip on the fire escape count?" Falco asked, his wry smile returning. "Started out there was only one there, but some girl with pink hair sprouted a set after she hit the wall." He grimaced at that. "...Like we don't have enough to do without worrying about a bunch of terrorist idiots re-spawning like a bad videogame boss."

"I'd say it counts, I grow catnip as well." Just for Dahlia. He'd have never bought the plant if he wasn't trying to please her, consider it his way of showing affection for the cat who he'd met early on and spoken to at length that first evening.

A pink haired girl, not one he'd ever seen. The comment though had him laughing, a hand covering his lips as he did so. "I have never thought of it like that, though I've never seen one do that. Sounds like she somehow leveled up. How lovely...another Eternal. I have to wonder what power decided to give them giant wings on their asses, or just why their clothing has to look better suited for a street walker rather than a supposed hero." He really did dislike the uniforms most of them wore, they were lacking in fabric.
PostPosted: Sat Oct 08, 2011 4:59 pm

"I dunno but I suppose they musta had some serious sense of humor." Realgar noted. "I mean what possible reason could someone have for going 'Hey, I know how we'll signify this rank. We'll strap wings on.... but not on their BACKS. We'll put them on their a**." He held up his hands as though framing their idea, and shook his head.

"Maybe it's to get them used to the idea for when we kick their a** into the next life." He suggested. Nothing else particularly made sense about it. "Of course these are also the same people who thought it was an awesome idea to put fighters in high heels and short skirts."

"Perhaps some cosmic joke, someone with power set to make them look like the fools they are." Someone with a sense of humor and the power to entertain themselves through other people, a good idea. The wings on the butt though were rather amusing, and would always be so, but the problem was the power they also signified.

"I don't have a problem with the heels so much as a I do those skirts. Those I take issue with." The ability to fight in on and how one could catch an unwanted glimpse up a skirt.

"I wonder if any of them wonder who up there doesn't like them."
PostPosted: Sun Oct 09, 2011 2:58 pm

"The skirts are damned ridiculous." He agreed. "I've seen longer skirts on street walkers... and there's goddamn little kids... No joke. Either they've got the worst goddamn parents in history or someone neglected to remember that kids who aren't old enough to have gotten past watching the Saturday Toons aren't old enough to be chloroforming people."

He wouldn't have put it past that little turd, Ixion to be chloroforming his parents. Rotten little squirt.

"Perhaps the city should hodl a worst parents award. They'd just need to find out the parents for the children." He'd seen them himself, it was shocking. He'd been told abut it previous to seeing them. It was still a shock though, how could it not be? These were children who were ready to take on Negaverse agents, Captains and Generals, as well as Lieutenants. "The parents should be checking in on them during the night." Maybe if one of them was caught, changing, they'd be punished and learn their lesson? Not likely though.

"If I were going to knock my parents out I have a few ways of doing it, all better then chloroform." A small smile crossed his features. "It's sick what makes up our enemies ranks." Sick was one nice way of putting it, especially when it came to the children. He had far more to say about that than he did the clothing.

"Now...would you like to show someone around and share the hunting for tonight?"
