Pet Showings
┗━━━━━━━━━┛
Learned a lot of fancy spells...? Well, this is your chance to shine! Pet Showings are special in-guild events. They use a combination roleplay and dice-roll system where pets/owners compete against each other to prove that they're the best. Note that you are NOT directly attacking anyone else, just showing off your spells~
If you want more information on Spells, see The Bookstore.
Overview
○ To participate, you must sign up in the guild thread for 10k
○ Every participating pet will be assigned a number, which will be randomly drawn to determine the order
○ There are 2 to 3 rounds for pets to "Appeal" to the judge (depending on number of participants)
○ Each appeal is scored and when the Pet Showing is over, the person with the highest score wins a special item (art) and the total event earnings
How To Appeal
○ Write in your post which spell you are using; something like:
- - Spell: WARM-UP (LV: 1, BP: 5, Fire)
○ BEFORE you click submit, use the post action to roll 2 (10-sided) Dice. These will determine:
- - DICE 1: Appeal Value of Spell
- - DICE 2: Type Effectiveness
○ AFTER you've rolled, EDIT that post with an roleplay response for that appeal (the attacks used, pet's reactions, etc.)
○ You will get a score for each appeal based on your roll and your roleplay post
Roleplay
Your roleplay post should include at least your pet using its spells. You can also include your owner, pet's reactions, etc. - treat it like a normal rp! ^^ There is no text limit. Judges will be looking for creativity in how you use your spells. Your final roleplay score is out of 10.
Mechanics
aka Things you don't have to know unless you really want to
Type Effectiveness
○ There are elemental type advantages / disadvantages. Depending on the order you go in, the score you role for "Type Effectiveness" may be added to your own score (if you are following someone that has a type disadvantage) AND/OR subtracted from the score of the person following you (if they have a type disadvantage).

Scoring
○ The final score for your appeal will be a combination of your dice roll, roleplay, and type effectiveness:
[ (Spell1 Base Power) + (Spell1 Appeal Value) + (Spell1 Level x 2) ]
+ Roleplay Score
+ Your Own Type Effectiveness (if applicable)
- Another Person's Type Effectiveness (if applicable)
