Quote: Entering from Water Country Line Count: 559 Traveling to Paradise Haven: 20/20 Subtle Irony - C Rank - 151/ 400 Exiting to Paradise Haven "The island of Paradise, hunh..." Sai murmured to himself as he leaned over the railing of the ship, the gentle breeze ruffling his hair pass him pleasantly as his bright blue eyes peered into the near distance at the incoming island. The edges of the island were surrounded by water lilies that bounced with the gentle laps of the sea, the perfectly cut grass that laid across the island produced bouquets of flowers in perfect rows that were so pristine that it would be hard to imagine they were purposely put their by a person's hands. The young man couldn't help but smile too himself as the auroma of the flowers and sea met him, a peace and serenity that he long hadn't felt washed over him. Still smiling, he closed his eyes and allowed the rocking of the ship take his mind to a place of perfect calmness. In what felt like a few seconds, the ship had made its way to the docks of the island and with an abrupt stop, broke Sai out of his peace. Sighing heavily, the man shoved his hands into his pockets and began to head off the ship. "We'll meet back here for the next ferry in two hours. Make sure to get all your supplies during this time." He called over his shoulder towards Kyu before disappearing into the crowd of tourists that were hastily trying to make their way into the island. With a light step, Sai bounced his way off the ship and strolled his way into the port. Eyes wide and intrigued, the man moved with the crowd of tourists, blending in perfectly with his eagerness to see everything the island had to offer. Though he knew he had an objective to complete and parcels to pick up, he couldn't be bothered with anything but taking in all the views he possibly could. It would be a very long time before he could return to the island and he knew it would be a waste if he didn't at least took some time now to appreciate what ought to be appreciated.

Kyu leaned against a railing post, breathing in the humid air through his gills. Times like this always felt pretty good. Paradise was an amazing place. He glanced over his shoulder at the immaculately placed flowers and trees. It was just as he remembered it; he'd visited once as a child with his family.
"It's a nice vacation spot. Probably the only place in the country that isn't the least bit slummy. Covered in tourists though... Not even the good kind, really. Nearly everyone that comes here is just some guy who got rich on investments or some shop. Sometimes they are a family that's just very fortunate, or an heir of their familiy's money. Outside of their boring civvy life, they have little to talk about..." Kyu said bitterly.
Last time he'd been there, he was bored out of his mind whenever they weren't at the beach or at an attraction. His father spent any time in between fun stuff talking to business associates. Kyu wasn't interested then, and wasn't interested now. Any business of his was just plain lame. If he remembered correctly, all of his business decisions that week fell through the week after anyways.
When they landed, Sai said that they'd meet back at the ferry in two hours. Kyu gave him a short wave, and was on his way to check out some neat equipment at the market. Although Paradise wasn't a ton of fun for a ninja like Kyu, the Market was bound to have a gold nugget here or there.

Sai yawned lightly to himself as he found himself waiting at the port for what felt like forever. It wouldn't be much longer until the ferry decided to leave port and head to the next island, it would be another four hours til the next ferry and then a whole day later before the ferry would be operational again as it didn't run during the night. It just wasn't in the man to wait that long, it just wouldn't work. As much as he enjoyed Paradise Island, the prices for hotels were steep and so was everything else as the place that was the ultimate vacation spot, the vendors made sure to jack their prices high. The only thing that was of decent to lower prices were within the Haven of the island and it was unlikely they would have any places for him and Kyu to stay. It would end up that they would have only one of three choices: Break into somewhere slash threaten there way in to somewhere, fork up the money for a hotel or sleep outside.
None of the ideas were all that appealing to Sai when the fact of having to wait for an even more extended amount of time came into factor. If Kyu didn't make it in time he would simply just leave without him, Kyu would have to catch the next ferry out and follow behind and if he didn't make that one then he certainly was showing up too late for Sai to be bothered with. The mission needed to get done and the longer they took to get to it the higher the chance that intelligence would be leaked to their target and that would make their jobs all the much harder. Tightened security, stronger goons, traps, sensor and tracker nin... it would all just be a larger headache then need to be.
A heavy sigh pressed pass Sai's lips as the ferry made its call for the final boarding. Taking one last look to see if Kyu was just making it there, the man made his way to board the ferry. Waving good bye to the island and some where on it, Kyu, he relaxed into his chair with another sigh and watched it disappear into the horizon. It was going to be a long a trip...

[From Market]Kyu arrived at the port, sporting his new wardrobe. He hadn't tested its color changing abilities yet, so it was in its default pitch-black coloration. Overhead, Seagulls called to the setting sun. Several boats were stationed at the marina, but no bigger boats meant for travel. Kyu looked up and down the port, "Where's the ferry?" The sound of the waves and foam did little to soothe his worry.
From behind him, he heard an exhausted girl's voice, "You missed it, Sensei." Sayuri had finally managed to catch up with him. "The last ferry left a little after I got here on it." Kyu ran his fingers through his hair "Crap... Sai's going to be pissed..."Kyu heard the sound of a motor not far off, and an idea popped into his head, "Come on Sayuri, we're getting a boat." The sensei and his student dashed off down the pier, until the chuunin spotted the motor. He pointed at the boat, then sped up his sprint. With a single bound, he flew through the air, and landed in the small, slow moving motor boat, Sayuri arriving just after him.
The fisherman on the boat screamed in surprise, but soon found his mouth covered by the fishy ninja's hand, "Ninja business, bro. Listen up, send a memo to Kyuzaku Hoshigaki in the Village Hidden in the Mist. I'll make sure you get compensated for your boat, know what I mean, bro?"
Kyu shrugged, and said, "Sorry, bro, but this is life or death." He pushed the man backwards. He stumbled a few feet, and fell out of the boat with a splash. "Lets go, Sayuri." The genin took a seat as Kyu implied, then took the back seat where the motor was. He kicked the motor speed up, and the boat took off over the seas. At this rate, it would hit the docks of mainland Water Country in no time. Kyu calculated that he could drop of Sayuri there, refuel, then continue on to Lightning in the boat.72 lines 20/20 Travel from Paradise Haven to Paradise 40/40 Travel from Paradise to Water Country and then 12 lines
