Vieve arrived just before 3pm, having made sure to leave her dorm early. It was her first time actually entering one of the other races' dorms, and she figured it'd take time to actually find Jericho's room.

This one, though, was unmistakeably his.

All night long, she'd been dreaming of races and karts and, naturally, kicking Jericho's a**. Who knew she'd be this obsessive over a stupid game? But she couldn't rest properly, and if she had to make an intelligent guess, the dragon had probably spent some time practicing in preparation for their rematch.

And given that the rematch would be held in his territory, instead of neutral ground, she could only expect that the odds would be against her. No matter- she'd come here to win.

The salamander knocked on the door, and waited for him to answer.

After getting himself cleaned up from the day before, Jericho had took some time to prepare before the little showdown that was to happen in his room. Once he heard the knocking at his door, he made his way over to see if it was indeed Vee.

"Welcome," he said to the girl waiting outside. He soon stepped aside to let her in.

"The SkeeV and Eii are over on the left," he pointed out while motioning towards where his electronics were kept, which was a fair distance away from his lava pool. Electronics and heat didn't generally get along after all.

She was surprised by how big his room was- how was.. how was this fair, at all? Her own room was tiny, though granted, she didn't need the space that much. Vieve looked around, shocked speechless.

Was that... a lava pool? And two separate piles of treasure, even? Some sort of instinct kicked in, and she found herself gravitating towards the treasure. Where had he said the electronics were? Her eyes were too preoccupied with the shinies; it seemed that she'd found two huge sources of distractions.

Wait, focus. Today was all about winning the game. Still, she was practically salivating at his hoard, turning to look at it every now and then, from where she was seated in front of the game console.

How she wasn't already jumping right into the pile and rolling around in the gold was a mystery... though, honestly, it wouldn't make any difference unless it belonged to her. Touching someone else's treasure, unless it was up for grabs, was just rude.

And speaking of rude... she'd barged right into his room, seduced by the treasure, without even greeting him.. whoops.

"Thanks for inviting me over," she managed weakly, hoping she hadn't already made him angry..

When the girl just walked past him and towards the treasure pile, Jericho's eyes narrowed as his protective instincts began to kick in. However, she stopped her advance after a moment or so, which caused him to relax. Well, if she decided to try anything weird, his minis would help fend her off.

"Right," he said before moving over towards his TV. He turned on the game system and held out one of the controllers to Vieve.

"Same idea more or less," he said before giving a quick rundown of the button settings. It was the same idea as the version in the arcade, but more compact.

She tried her best to compose herself. Stop thinking about the treasure, she thought. The... treasure. No. NOT the treasure. Forcing herself to stare at the screen, Vieve clutched at the controller, trying to memorise the way they worked.

Disadvantage the first: he was probably more used to these controllers than she was. She hadn't even known they existed- she'd expected to see the same machine from the arcade in his room.

But she couldn't back down, not now- she'd stay here, basking in the delightful presence of gold, until she beat him. It wasn't too bad a situation.

"Ready," Vieve said, and looked towards him, her eyes blazing with determination. She would win.

Nodding to Vieve, Jericho went ahead to get the game started. There would be no distractions here. If he lost this time around, he would (sort of) accept it, granted she didn't go about rubbing it into his face again. He really hated that sort of thing.

Waiting at the starting line, he focused hard on the screen until the lights went green.

The game started, just the way it did in the arcade!

Which brought to mind the earlier question: why did he bother spending money playing in the arcade, when he could play in his room? Soon enough, though, the thought faded away- she found herself concentrating more and more on the game, especially the sharp turns on the course.

Apparently that focus paid off, because close to the end, she managed to overtake him, winning the game.

"Yes!!" He couldn't deny her the win this time, could he? Stretching, she turned to look at him, a ridiculously silly grin on her face. She hadn't even expected to take games this seriously..

This time around, Jericho's own misfortunes were within the game itself. Though he tried, he ended up crashing here, getting hit by an npc item there, and so on and so forth. Over all, it was a really poor run on his part. Coming in last, he let out a sigh, feeling an incredible amount of disappointment towards himself. Why was it that whenever he went up against someone brand spanking new in games, they ended up demolishing him?

Levi, Lizzy, Riyo, and now Vee all did this.

Something had to be wrong with him.

And for the moment, he was too lost in thought to really pay much attention to the elemental's glee.

He didn't seem to react at all, and she frowned. She'd won this time! Fair and square, at that. She hadn't thought so at the beginning, but perhaps he was the sore loser type- well, he had to deal with it.

Flopping onto the ground, she stared at the ceiling. This place was comfortable, the heat making her slightly drowsy. She had a vague mental image of Jericho himself racing, and crashing into things.. it made her smile.

But wait. Could there actually be something to it?

She looked at him- he was still unresponsive. Hrmph. Vieve stretched out and tugged on his sleeve. He couldn't ignore that, could he?

More likely than not, he was going to need to figure out what it is with newbies that he just can't seem to beat. The dragon didn't get to dwell on it for too long because he soon felt a slight tugging at his sleeve.

"Hm?" he blinked while looking at Vieve. Oh right. She was still here.

"Yeah?"

He.. had been totally spaced out, apparently. She frowned, grudgingly inquiring if he was okay. Maybe he was having a headache, or something. His state of well-being didn't matter so much to her, but if it affected the outcome of his game, somehow... would it still have been an empty victory?

She liked to think she'd won, fair and square.

"I was thinking," she continued. "This game, but in real life. I think it'd be pretty.. profitable fun. Yeah."

It wasn't really an invitation, or even asking for an opinion- just talking about it helped her formulate a plan. This could work, couldn't it? Get students into teams, and have some of them drive cars they made themselves, in a race.

Naturally, she couldn't organise the whole thing by herself, but she'd definitely try. Some part of her considered asking Jericho for help, but he had lost to her twice in a row, despite the fact that he seemed to have more experience with it.

Maybe he wouldn't be opposed to grunt work, or the like... the question was how to phrase it so it sounded like an interesting job.

Shrugging to the Salamander, Jericho tilted his head as she mentioned something about a real course. Or something like that. That was what she sounded like what she was going for but it was a little hard to tell.

"You mean build a real go kart track?" he asked with a raised brow. Well that sounded like it could be fun but something like that would take a lot of work. Possibly even more work than the Terror Warrior Course. The track would need to be built and made sure it was good, and then all the various karts needed to be built.

Those things sort of needed to be functional too.

"Yeah, like a real track!" She sat up again, thinking hard.

"In the school- maybe around it. We could have races- and teams build their own karts, so I don't have to care about safety issues and the like. I mean, it's their own responsibilities, isn't it?"

As far as she was concerned, the idea was perfect. Students who liked games would probably enjoy this as well- plus, it was a test of your skills, and not just how well you were able to move something on a screen. Or dodge something on a screen.

Plus, with races, there were usually bets.. and guess which girl would benefit from that..?

"Eeeeh if you aren't careful with the safety stuff, some real stuck ups might take that as an opportunity to try and sue you," Jericho sneered. He hoped there would be none of this for the Terror Warrior course. Being the treasurer, he would be the one that'd have to deal with it... if the school itself wouldn't.

It wasn't a pleasant thing to think about.

Well- he wasn't too supportive of her idea. That didn't matter, though; there were plenty of students around, who she was sure would be interested.

She'd just have to go fishing, after she got all her thoughts sorted out.

"It's all in the fine print, so it'll be fine. Cover all your tracks and the like, y'know?" Besides, whatever happened, she was sure the school nurse could handle it.

"You're not scared, though, are you?" She teased. "Racing on a screen is fine, but not on real life, huh?" Perhaps he wouldn't take the bait so easily, but she'd try anyway...
