Alright I need some opinions...should I rehome my 6 year old standard grey and 4 year old mosaic chinchillas. I love them to death but I want something I can really cuddle with so I was thinking of rehoming these two and getting a 9 week old baby chin. that is better behaved. What should I do?

So you are going to rehome your adult chins that are most likely ill behaved do to lack of socialization and buy a baby chin in their place? Thus you want to hand your problem off to someone else? Chinchillas are not what I would ever classify as a cuddly pet. Well socialized ones may hop on your lap or should for a few minutes of scritches, but they are not the sort of animal that once to be restricted andclung to for long stretches.

In short, I think this is a bad idea.

yeah, not the best idea in the world. its never too late to try to bond enough with an animal so they will want to spend time with you. plus 6 is still kind of young for a chin

im not trying to be rde, but it would be like putting your dog in the shelter so you could buy a puppy

I'm with Krissim... Not a good idea.

Chins can be worked with at any age and improve the way they interact with you, just gotta be patient. And no, they're never going to be a "cuddly" pet, they're just not comfortable with that.
