It had been a few hours since the crowd had dispersed, leaving the young adult by himself - unaffected by the remaining few who talked in whispers and kept to themselves.
Sighing in to the sand, he felt like worlds had just shifted under his paws, his eyes staring out in to the waters, the music finally settling down after such a long time with in the crowd, now just a trickle of sound - like a babbling brook cresting through bells.
What would these changes mean for the pride? It confused him ultimately, and made him listless and uncertain of his future.

As much as he would have liked to leave the finer details to Ame, the poor lioness couldn't handle the worries and concerns of the entire pride on her own. Shandor was an outsider, he knew very little of the old ways of the pride and had only begun his education when the little god had paid the lands a visit. A part of him knew that his sympathies might not be received as well by some of the members because of this. While he had shared an infliction of the mind right along with the best of them, he hadn't shared the lands for long and he certainly had never shared their faith or spirituality.
But- it was the time for unity. Whether or not it was appreciated, the pride would look to both he and Ame to see this problem addressed and resolved. If that meant trying to touch on all the pride members and insure that they were at least managing themselves well, that's what he would do.
The lion padded down the coastline, seeking out first the ginger-maned lion that had addressed him directly during the gathering. He looked distant, detached, and forlorn as he watched the waves sweep in and out of the sea. Wordlessly, Shandor joined the male's side and followed his gaze out to the horizonline.
"Funny thing the sea. It seems to hold a constant pattern, doesn't it? At a certain time, it will draw up a certain distance, the waves only get so high, they only come so far... but at any moment those waves could rise up out of the sea and become something new and terrible." He raised a brow. "I suppose even the sea cannot be predicted. Or trusted."
