Background: Shunned by nearly everyone in his family, due to his sexuality, Kael left his hometown of Gwaren. He was only in his mid teens at this point and the lone road was quite rough on him. This was a crucial point in his life as he learned much about survival and became very close to nature during his travels. Eventually he made his way to the Korcari Wilds, unbeknownst to it's dangers. Kael had trudged through the wilds at length until finally he settled down and made camp, accepting that he was lost.
The young fellow awoke to thieves raiding his things and having been tied to a tree, there was little he could do. One of the barbaric thieves, realizing he was conscious, hurled a rock at his skull. When he once again awoke many hours later, Kael was in an unfamiliar hut with an old hag standing before him. The woman brought him back to her hut and helped to heal his wounds before sending him on his way once he was recovered. A younger woman accompanied him safely guiding him out of the wilds. No words were exchanged between the three and it wasn't until many years later, in Amaranthine, he heard a story about a witch of the wilds.
