"The less you move the sooner this will be over," the Senshi of Burial hissed to the older, homeless man. Her mirrorwraith had planted itself inside its chest, draining its energy as quickly as it could. It was nearly filled, its form becoming corporeal and vulnerable to attack. If the man were to try to smack the mirrorwraith, it would shatter and the energy would be lost. More importantly, Requiem would find herself in even more trouble. Ares had already punched her in the face once for her errors during the Negaverse meeting, she couldn't afford for it to happen again.

The homeless man grunted as the mirrorwraith pulled itself out of his chest and swiftly flew back into the mirrorshard in her hand.

"See, that wasn't so bad, was it?" she teased as she stepped over the man lying on the floor, pocketing the shard into her pouch. There was a sudden, familiar tingle. "Well, well, it appears we aren't alone."

"You certainly aren't." Perseus stepped out of the shadows, staring at the young woman in front of her. She looked vaguely familiar, but Perseus couldn't quite place her. There were other things about the woman that she couldn't quite place either. Her aura was certainly super level, but it was definitely corrupted as well. Except for the fact that she didn't look like a corrupted senshi (gaping holes in the chest and forehead were hard to miss). And there was also the other fact of the weird thing she had just called into a mirror.

"What exactly are you?" She couldn't help but be blunt with the question. Her affiliations were clear- what she was doing looked like the energy collection she had run into briefly. But nothing else about the girl lined up at all. Something else tugged at the back of her brain as well, a familiarity with the girls face and clothes. She had definitely seen the girl somewhere, but where and when were still unknowns.

"What am I?" she grinned. Requiem was so glad that she had asked. "I am a Senshi who has seen the truth. I am a Senshi who has joined the right side of this war. I am Super Sailor Requiem, the parallel Senshi of Burial, and a Senshi of the Dark Mirror Court. I am an enlightened Senshi, unlike you - judging by your power signature."

She took a step closer to the other Senshi, her devious grin still present. She wasn't afraid of the other Senshi nor was she afraid of a battle if push came to shove. Of anything, she was pleased to see another Senshi. Perhaps one she could encourage to see the light of the Chaos.

"I've introduced myself, now it is only fair that you do the same."

Parallel? Dark Mirror Court? Parallel was nothing new to her vocabulary, not after the Tartaros incident. She thought the whole thing had pretty much ended with Nehelenia though, save for Sailor Ares who was in with the BMC last Perseus had heard. She would have to comb through the database later to see what was up with all of this.

Burial and Requiem also struck a cord with Perseus, whose mind was going about a mile a minute in the current circumstance. She didn't move when Requiem took a step closer, watching her warily. "I recognize the name, we've met before I think." Never formally though, only at meetings and large battles. Or at the very least she'd heard the name before, but never on the side of chaos. "Truth is subjective to viewpoint I'm afraid, more so when Chaos is involved."

She paused before answering about the name. Was it good to give her name? Perseus had never balked about giving her name previously, but it was hard to say. Giving her name to a corrupt senshi without a hole in her chest seemed a bit more risky. After a few seconds of internal reflection, she answered. "I am Super Sailor Perseus, a senshi who is enlightened enough to see what being enlightened actually is." Perseus raised an eyebrow, unsure of how the other girl was going to act. She wasn't afraid to get into a fight with her, but she didn't want to start off that way from the beginning. The more she learned, the better.

Requiem laughed at Perseus's introduction. These White Moon Senshi were all the same. She had been one herself, and was too blinded then to realize how misguided they were.

"I'm sure that you think you are enlightened, but until you have truly opened yourself up to the other side, you have no way of knowing whether you are on the right or the wrong side," Requiem said. "That is, unless you take time to listen to me when I say: You are wrong. We shouldn't be wasting our time here on Earth. We have our own planets that need to be taken care of."

"If you come with me, I can show you," she offered out her hand. "Join us Perseus. Join the Dark Mirror Court."

"I don't need to join your side to feel what it does to your starseed. I can't imagine that cracking and corrupting your life force does any good for your aura." It went without saying that the offered hand wasn't taken. Perseus stood standing there, eyeing over Requiem with a bit of morbid curiosity.

"What did it feel like, being bathed in chaos?" It all came back to that. The brief few moments that Perseus had been corrupted in that freak youma attack that bore Tanzanite back into the world. Ever since then she had been fascinated with the idea of corruption. Not in the manner of actually joining them in their cause, but in how it happened, how it felt, how they functioned afterwards.

It was a morbid topic, but one she couldn't avoid when faced with it. Requiem was a fascinating creature, despite how much it pained her to see someone corrupted. She wondered if the other girl had been given a choice in the matter at all.

Please quote me in this thread when you tag me back!

“You Senshi are all the same, so unwilling to see the other side of things,” Requiem shook her head. “Corruption? It was an enlightenment – there was no evil. It wasn’t a painful process, it was glorious. It was finding the meaning to life. If you don’t want to see that willingly, there are other ways. But I know you will come around eventually. You can’t possibly be misled for your entire life. That would just be a waste.”

“Unfortunately, however, I am bit impatient for that,” Requiem shrugged. “You will forgive me for this when you join us.”

“REQUIEM COFFIN MUMMY!” she shouted, targeting her power at Perseus. With this ability, she is able to mummify her target and trap their mummified self inside of a coffin, which can be broken open only through an outside force or would open itself after thirty seconds.

"The funny thing about chaos is that it makes you think differently. Like a horse forced to pull a cart, you have had blinders put on you to keep you ignorant." As soon as she heard the scout call her attack, Perseus moved, not knowing what it would entail. It didn't stop the coffin from entombing her though.

For the most part, Perseus was fine with tight, enclosed spaces. As a civilian, she had spent countless hours on airplanes and in hotel rooms, packed into the small spaces with little escape. She wasn't claustrophobic in any sense of the word, but panic did begin to grip her as the coffin shut her in. She wasn't suffocating, but she felt like she was, and for a few panicked seconds she beat and clawed at the wooden box, delivering the harshest kicks she could manage at the door in such an enclosed space.

Breath.

Breath.

Perseus squeezed her eyes shut and forced herself to calm down, her heart beating rapidly.

After what seemed an eternity of forced breathing, Perseus was more than thankful as the box opened in front of her. She dropped to the ground at first, thankful for air and non-confinement.

"Nice trick, I've got one of my own." She gulped down some more air, for the moment staying on the ground. She looked up at Requiem. "Illusion's Kiss..." The words reverberated in the air and Perseus blew a kiss at the other girl. Shortly, it would find its mark, disorienting the other girls spacial perception. Near things were far, far where near, and even though she was walking straight towards her, Perseus herself was affected by the illusion, seeming to 'skip' about the space. The first 20 seconds were the most disorienting, with the effect gradually dimming from there.

Requiem was preparing to attack when the coffin popped open and Super Sailor Perseus emerged. She charged forward - it was too late to attack the coffin, her normal strategy - and focused her aim at Perseus. Unfortunately for Requiem, Perseus's ability was strong against her. Her vision became hazy, a bit trippy, and her perceptions seemed to be a bit off. She did her best to fight through, but that only seemed to make things worse.

She let a full-force punch forth towards Perseus, who she thought was an arm's reach away, but was roughly a car's length away in actuality. The punch caused her to lose her balance, and when she tried to support herself on what she thought was a nearby wall, she simply fell to the ground.

"You're a tricky b***h, aren't you?" Requiem grumbled as she tried to pick herself up. This effect couldn't last too much longer, she needed to stall and buy herself time. She crawled around on the floor, certainly vulnerable, but kept tried to keep eye on Perseus to keep a distance as she skipped around the space.

"I think that this is a great illustration that things are not always what they seem. You might see the truth of that in the future." Perseus side stepped the wild punch and watched the other sailor stumble forward, obviously affected by the illusion. Considering her options and the situation, the Sailor of Illusion figured that now might be the best time to politely excuse herself from the whole ordeal.

If Requiem could not sit down and talk with her about everything, then it wasn't worth the try at this particular point.

"I'm sorry to leave you in such a state Requiem. Hopefully someday we can meet under more civil circumstances." With that Perseus walked backwards into the shadows, and from there put as much distance between herself and the super as she could manage. Hopefully what she'd said had hit somewhere in the girls heart, but most of her doubted it.

"Maybe we'll meet again someday."

But for today, it was time to go home.
