The sun was beginning to retreat toward the other side of the vast lands as fatigue took over the day. She had managed to be successful hunting today and had gone to visit her mother. She prided herself that she was getting better. Despite her brother’s teasing words, she knew that she was doing well in her position in the pride.
Smiling at the thought of him, she wondered if she would have time to visit him the next day. Ishara was currently lounging out on top of one of the large rock beds in the lands. Since the sun was setting, she would no longer have a reason to lay there, other that to start getting cold after laying in the sun’s heat.
Standing and stretching out her relaxed limbs, she leapt off the rock and began to trot in the direction of the den. When she had almost gotten a quarter there, she stopped at the sudden ache in her throat and stomach. Quickly realizing that she was thirsty, sighing, she turned and headed in the opposite direction of her home and to the lake.

Aradia was already at the lake getting a nice cool drink after a long day of hunting. her plan was to go relax after her long day once he was done getting rid of her thirst for water. she was the type that kept her head down, did her duty as a huntress and mostly kept to herself besides chilling with her family members. licking her muzzle now that she was down drinking, she glanced around the area to see if there was anyone about. it was about high time she actually made a effort to try to make a friend.

With her eyes half-lidded, she gradually made her way to the lake. Walking slowly, she smiled at those that she knew, and made faces at the small cubs that she would sometimes play with. Ishara imagined that there was no where that she would rather live than right where she was.
The lands were beautiful and people were friendly for the most part. Although, at times her curious mind wandered to the outside world, and she often found herself fantasizing about what could be out there. She had heard that there were other out there that weren’t lions, which fascinated her since, having never been outside of the pride, she had never seen these non-lions.
However, having never been across the boarder, she was a bit timid of exploring the world beyond her home, which kept her grounded whenever she thought about it. Reaching the lake, she immediately dipped her face into it drank down gulps of cool water, not immediately noticing the other nearby.

Aradia caught sight of the dark lioness rather fast, since the other female was all grey and black. being the type that had not be all that social since she was the strong independent type, who was more social with her family that others. in taking a deep breath, she figured it was about time to try to be a bit more social, so she went over towards the other lioness slowly since she didn't want to interrupt the other's drink. she figured if she acted as if she was passing by and walked slowly enough that she could strike up a conversation with the other lioness after their drink.

The young lioness sighed and wiped off the water dripping from her mouth. She started to turn to head to bed until she saw a flash of gold out of the corner of her eye.
Turning her head the other way, she jumped lightly as she saw the other lioness standing there. "Oh hello! I didn't see you standing there!" Facing the other completely, she spoke with a calmer voice, "I don't think I've met you before. I'm Ishara."
She prided herself in the fact that she at least recognized most of the pride's residents. Having lived within the pride her entire life, she always noticed those that she didn't know. "What's your name?"

" im sorry for scaring you." Aradia had almost jumped herself when the other female had jumped lightly. " its a pleasure to meet you Ishara. i'm Aradia." giving a slight smile, she felt awkward for the moment since she had sorta startled Ishara but eventually she would get over that. " i hope i'm not bothering you at all." she was not the type that liked bothering others or keeping them for doing whatever they were going off to do. knowing it was getting late, she assumed she might be keeping them from turning in for the night.

“Oh it’s alright! I just didn’t notice you there that’s all,” she said humorously, “It is nice to meet you Aradia.” She sighing inwardly to herself at her jumpiness.
How was she supposed to make a good impression on the pride’s newer residents when she freaked out at the slightest sound or movement? Recollecting herself, she attempted to represent herself.
“You aren’t bothering me at all! I was just coming by to get a drink before I went in for the night. Are you new here? If so, where are you from if you don’t mind me asking?”

" its a pleasure to meet you too Ishara." Aradia gave a sigh of relief that she was not bugging Ishara at all. even though Aradia was independent and strong willed, she was not the type that like to intrude when another was busy. " i am glad that i'am not bothering." she then gave a chuckle of amusement. " i was born and raised here. but i must admit that i haven't really been all that social, but i am attempting to change that."

“Oh really? You were born here? Well, I’m glad I finally got to meet you,” she said with excitement. She couldn’t believe that she was meeting a lioness in her own pride that she’d never met before.
Ishara tried to think if she’d ever seen Aradia before, but couldn’t pick out any significant memory or image. Here she was thinking that she knew most of the pride’s members. Well, she supposed that most was not all.
Ishara was a young lioness, and had only left her mother’s side not too long ago. Sighing to herself, she decided that she would just have to try and meet more lions. “You definitely should, everyone is wonderful here,” she said confidently.

" yes, and its a pleasure to meet you." Aradia couldn't help but chuckle a little. she could tell that Ishara was the social type who probably knew most of the pride members. she almost envied how Ishara probably knew just about everyone in the pride but she knew with sometime and effort she would get to know just about everyone. " i know and i hope to soon start to know just about everyone in the pride. just will take some effort on my part."
