After a long day of shopping, Bea and Raziel had gone back to the monster dorms. They spent the whole day finding clothes for the field trip, Bea was worried Raziel was hungry. Since she could not cook anything in her room, they decided to make dinner in his room instead.

They made it to Raz’s room, standing outside the door. Bea waited for him to open it up so they could head inside. Her arms were aching from so many bags hanging around her arms. It seemed Bea got a little carried away while they went shopping and pretty much spent every silver she had buying new outfits. “Ahhh, Razieeeeeeel!” Bea whined, “Hurry up and open the dooooor!”

It had been a long day, but an incredible one as well. They had gone to so many shops and tried on so many clothes! Raziel had gotten what he needed for his field trip group outfit and a few other things here and there. Now they were standing outside of his room and were going to make dinner once they got inside. As life would have pit itself against him once already that day, it was doing it again. Raziel fumbled for his keys to open his door, his fingers barely grasping the tiny metal object before he finally shoved the key into the lock before he could lose it again. “Okay! Here we are!” he announced, opening the door wide. Once he turned to face his room he almost immediately turned a shade of red, he hadn’t planned on having company over and his room wasn’t at its cleanest. “Ah, umm, eh heh, sorry about the mess,” he said sheepishly rubbing the back of his head. Trying to change the subject while shoving a few things aside with his foot, Raziel asked, “So, what shall we be having for dinner?”

Scyerline
As soon as the door opened, Bea happily followed Raziel into his dorm room. She stood there for a moment, letting the new environment soak in. This was the first time Bea has ever been into a boil’s dorm room. It had a strange smell to it but she couldn’t quite put her finger on it. Though she didn’t want to hurt Raz’s feelings, she thought she could just let it slide… this one time…

“Ugh. How can you live in such a mess?” Really, it wasn’t that messy, but Bea was always a neat person, always keeping her things nice and clean, neat and tidy, spick and span. “We’ll need to clean this up after we’re--- Actually, I’d really prefer it if we could clean this up really quick before we start dinner. It’s make a nicer feeling to the room if it was clean!” Bea looked around the room and set her things down by the door so she wouldn’t forget them on the way out.

“Um… What do you like to eat? I like to cook, but I don’t know if I’m actually really good.” She giggled at herself.

Well Raziel’s hopes that Bea might not notice the mess were shot in an instant. He could feel his face turning even more red than it had ever been before, “Uhh, okay, I’ll try and clean up real quick.” He started to pick up the few items on the floor, mostly clothes, and put them into his clothes hamper. The only other thing really around was a few dishes in the sink. He grabbed a bottle of air freshener out of the closet too and sprayed a little bit here and there. “I like fish,” he said in response to her question, still trying to freshen his dorm. He moved to the sink to try and wash the few dishes quickly. “We had fish for dinner a lot back home, and I haven’t had it in a while, what do you think?”

Bea was planning to help the boil clean up his room, but as soon as she mentioned the mess, he was already running off and cleaning the place. He was amazingly fast cleaning up the mess as she watched him with awe. She followed him to the sink to help wash the rest of the dirty dishes. After all, two people working together gets the job done faster! “Fish?” It’s been a while since Bea ever cooked fish. “I know a few recipes, so we can try making it!” she said enthusiastically. “Would you like the fish pan seared, baked or would you prefer a soup?” She rolled up her sleeves and wrapped her hair into a pony tail, exposing her shoulders and neck where a new patch of barnacle had been growing on her skin.

Naked Satan
Despite not wanting to have Bea clean up after him, she joined him at the sink to finish up the dishes. The work got done a lot faster with both of them cleaning, but Raz still felt bad since he made the mess in the first place. At least his rampant blushing seemed to be going away; instead of a bright shade of red he was only vaguely pink in the cheeks. “Yea, fish!” he said with some enthusiasm, “Pan seared sounds interesting, I’ve never had it that way, so let’s do that!” He was legitimately excited for the food they were about to prepare. Home cooked food was always a million times better than what was in the cafeteria. He watched out of the corner of his eye as Bea put her hair up into a pony tail. Her neck and shoulders were exposed and something appeared to be growing in that space. As curious as Raziel was, he wasn’t going to chance offending her by wanting to take a closer look at the curious thing. Instead he finished the last dish and turned towards her, “What’s first Chef?” he asked with a grin on his face.

Scyerline
“Pan seared it is!” Bea chirped as she clapped her hands together. She turned back to see Raziel looking at her put up her hair. A deep red tone filled her face. He was looking at her curiously. Bea wasn’t sure if he was just looking at her, or was he looking at her. She quickly turned to grab a skillet and a spatula to avoid looking at him in the eyes. As she was setting down the skillet, she thought about which recipe she wanted to cook with him. The dish itself wasn’t hard. It just needed a few herbs, some lemon and a bit of oil. A simple dish, but it was light and there was enough of it to make it filling as well.

“Well, the dish I had in mind… is quite simple. It takes very little ingredients and it doesn’t take long to cook!” She put the oil into the warm pan and let it heat up. “Here, you can chop up these herbs. Could you have me the fish too?”

Oops! She had caught him looking at her! Raziel turned away at the same moment she had, once again feeling that familiar red flush his face. After having talked to Xiu before, Raz knew what he was thinking and how he felt, but he didn’t know if Bea felt the same way and he wasn’t about to make the day end badly by finding out if she didn’t!

Raziel watched intently as Bea picked up the nearby skillet and spatula, listening closely to her words. A simple dish that doesn’t take long and tastes good, it sounded like heaven to him.. what was heaven? He shook the thought out of his head when Bea handed him the herbs. “Sure,” he said as he passed the fish to her, “What are you going to do to it?” he asked, wanting to know how to make the dish too so maybe one day he might be able to cook for her instead. He pulled out a cutting board and a knife and began to carefully chop up the small green plants. The aroma from the herbs was enticing.

The sizzling of the pan was just about ready for the herbs. As Bea took the fish from Raz, she pointed at the pan. “When you’re done chopping those, just toss them into the pan and lower the heat until you REALLY smell those herbs. It’s let out a distinct smell. It’ll make the kitchen smell really yummy too.” She smiled. “Oh and as for the fish, I’m going to clean it first and fillet it.” Bea took an extra knife, scraping off all the scales, then carefully cutting the fish in a single slice. She chopped off the head and tail, gutting the thing and laid it on the cutting board that Raziel was using previously. “Like so!” making it sound like it was done so easily.

Naked Satan
He listened to her words as he chopped the herbs. He enjoyed listening to her talk, it was nice, pleasant and he couldn’t quite put a finger on why it made him feel so good, but it did. He gathered the herbs that he had chopped and sprinkled them into the chattering pan, “Like so?” He hoped that he had done alright and not screwed anything up as he turned the heat on the stove down a touch. He watched, in amazement as Beatrix so easily took the fish, got rid of the scales, head, tail and guts and had it ready to go in no time. He barely had time to process all the magnificent things going on right in front of him. “Woah, you’re good at that,” he murmured through his trance-like state. She laid the fish down in front of him on the cutting board he had been using, and he asked, “Now what does fillet mean?” He knew that fillet had something to do with the cut of the fish, but he wasn’t entirely sure. Well, that and he wanted to listen to her talk more.

Scyerline
From the look of Raz’s face, Bea was secretly delighted to see how impressive she may seem to him. “Well, when you fillet, you… um… It’s like…” Bea struggled a bit, trying to figure out how to say what a fillet is. “Well, you just want to get a clean cut slab of fish with no scales or bones? I guess? I’m not so sure myself.” Bea laughed, bringing the fish bloody hand close to her face as she tried to cover up her smile. Then the strong stench of fish lingered up to her nose. “Yeeeeeuuuuuch!” quickly putting her hands over to the sink to wash them again. “The smell of dead fish is kind of gross to me.” She said scrubbing her hands thoroughly. “Oh, and yep! Now we put the fillets onto the pan for a few minutes, flip it, let it rest for a few more minutes and we’ll be done.”

Naked Satan
Her explanation was more than satisfactory, even if she wasn’t entirely sure herself. The basic idea of it was well gotten across and Raziel at least somewhat understood what fillet meant now. “Ohh, I see… I think,” he said. At her reaction to fish blood and stink getting close to her face Raziel couldn’t contain his laughter, it was quite hilarious, and the face she made! Oh my! He held his sides for a moment, trying to recover from the bought of laughter. “Mmmm! The herbs smell delicious, so I can only imagine how good the fish will taste with them!” he was also amazed at how easy and quick it was to cook this dish. It would’ve taken him at least this long to even figure out the whole fillet thing had he been doing it on his own. Moving over to another cupboard, Raziel inquired, “What would you like to drink with dinner?” He pulled two glasses off the shelf and set them on the counter before moving to the fridge.

Scyerline
The minute she was done washing her hands, she turned around to see Raziel laughing. She couldn’t help but begin laughing herself. “Yeah it’s smelling really nice. I’ll just…” Bea reached over, past Raz, and squeezed half a lemon onto the fish, “there we go!” The fish was done and ready to be plated. She turned her head, “I’ll have whatever you’re having.” Dinner was ready for them to eat. Bea walked the two plates over to the table.
They seemed to be having such a good time. She has truly never felt this comfortable with a boil before. Not to mention having dinner with anyone. This was really quite special. A memory to be cherished for a long while yet.
