User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Name: Ser James Carcaus Sterling the Second

Gender: Male

Race/Nationality: Ferelden

Age: 29

Class/Specializations: Warrior (Champion, Templar, Warden)

Companion Specific Specialization:

Personality Traits: James is a man of personal justice, able to hold grudges but knows when he goes to far. He is also over-protective, and seems a bit hell-bound about his life, able to request sacrificing himself even if it's not the last resort. He is very talented with his sword and shield style, able to take on people twice his size or twice his strength. He seems to hold a strong sense of honor to himself, as a warden should, but sees the people as superiors to him, willing to help others.

Background (Personal Story): James was born in Fereldan under the banner of the Orlesian Empire. Though, it was towards the end of their rule he still developed a hatred because of his father, Teyrn Edmund Blackwood of BlackWood who fought against the Orliesans until his death. His mother, Rebecca Sterling took the Teyrnship and ruled over Blackwood gently and managed to help the people. He grew up into a small child where he was loved by his mother and his nan, Christa. His Sage, Jerick, a surface dwarf told him of the history of Fereldan, James mother taught him of everything that Orlesians did to Fereldans. At the age of ten, he and his mother traveled to Denerim, it being so close to their land it was not a long trip. It was there that James held the Chant of Light and became obsessed with Religion and the Maker.

For his eleventh birthday; His mother, under recommendation of James himself, was sent to the Chantry in Denerim where he trained to be a templar with his friend, Ser Donig Zerposa. He trained in the Chantry for 6 years and met many people, such as a man by the name of Alistair who they met briefly and became very good friends. Then he grew up to 19, and was sent to the Circle of Calanhad Magi to be a Templar. He became very close to the mages and learnt of their struggles, him and Niall tried to calm the mages whenever complaints and orders were ignored or threats of blood-magic were pulled up. It was assumed by many other Templars that if Gregoir was killed, that James would be next in line though no fact ever proved this. When he was 22, Donig was sent to the Circle and the two continued there until the Warden Duncan arrived when he was 29.

James was chosen to join the Grey Wardens, Donig was not. The templars gave their goodbyes and James left, not knowing of the mage rebellion that was slowly beginning. When he arrived to Ostagar, it was nightfall and Duncan said that his Warden Ceremony would be in one week as he had many potential wardens that were first. But it never happened, that night the siege at Ostagar broke and James was lost in the attack. He was awoken by a nearby group of soldiers who helped him get to safety. He spent the Blight killing darkspawn in the Korcari Wilds until he was visited by Flemeth, she told him of the war that was going on and promised him that he would be a great man in the years after. She then told him that a great dragon would lay waste to Denerim and, with a smile, she left James confused and bewildered. James soon joined the Army at Denerim, slaying Darkspawn left and right with his talents of the sword and when the Archdemon was slayed, he was visited by the Wardens of Orlais who told him how to get to the Anderfels. In which he disappeared into the Anderfels with the Title of Champion of Denerim.
