After hearing about the battles that had been going on lately, Xiu decided that yes, she wanted to try her hand at fighting someone too. While she knew that her experience in fighting was...well, average at best, the Baku also acknowledged that the only way she would ever improve was if she practiced. So, here she was, at the gym.

Though she had originally intended on simply sparring with some of the dummies, Xiu found herself running into another ghoul who was hanging around the vicinity. Figuring that this ghoul was perhaps in the same boat and was looking for someone to battle with, she extended an invitation to her and asked if she wanted to spar with her. When she received a non-committal reply, Xiu nervously offered to buy her lunch in exchange for her practicing with her.

She really, really wanted to try practicing with someone, okay? Fortunately, that offer seemed to do it.

Standing on the opposite end of the indoor gym, Xiu looked fidgety as she tried to figure out if--and how--she was supposed to warm up for this. The first thing she had done was change into a white tank top and black shorts, and then she had loosely braided her hair to ensure that it was out of the way. Now, while she waited for Vieve to get ready, the Baku did some awkward stretches in an attempt to look productive.
