Tabia blinked her pretty lilac eyes and let her gaze skim across these lands. These pretty lands filled with pretty ladies who doted on their males (for the most part, anyway). The same could be said for her. She was a pretty female and she did dote upon Ahnik. She had liked him from the start. Drawn to his ambition to be someone better. To be all he could be. Tabia was much the same and her ambitions had taken her down some good paths and some bad ones.

This path, however, had proven to be a great success.

To know Tabia, one might think this choice of pride and life was odd for her. She was certainly and independent lady who did not like to rely on anyone. However, she had seen such promise in Ahnik and the potential of such a partnership as theirs had been far too good to miss. Besides, this life had suited her. A pride was good for one's security and health and as long as she felt in charge of her plans and in control of herself and others, then all was well and she was happy.

After all, what was that saying? Behind every great male was an even greater female?

And things had been going according to plan - as far as she was concerned. Ahnik had himself a wonderful harem, was earning himself quite the reputation and had even found some lovely females for his sons.

She, herself, had been keeping an eye on things, watching over the process as a careful sentry. The other females were not her friends, but they were Ahnik's females and they were important - though you'd never hear her admit that out loud. In any case, life was pretty good at the moment and she could not help but rumble with contentment as she passed under the shade of a heavily leaning tree, pausing to rub her shoulder against its rough bark.

Ahnik never had to go far from his home, so he often didn't. His den was quite busy now, though he found it to be far different without cubs around- and without his sons. He was left with only his banu, his daughter and the banu he had captured to give to his sons. There were far too many females around lately, really, but it was a good sign for him. He was doing well for himself here, and it made him happy- even when he lacked male companionship.

Besides, with so many of them and only one here by choice, it would be harder to sneak away or escape. None of them would go without the others. It added some security to his life, which was why he was comfortable off on his own now. When he spotted his most faithful banu, though, he was happy to go talk to her.

"Tabia," he called with a smile, "Enjoying the day?"

Anju was trying to get Kiki away from the others, both Ahnik and Tabia were off on their own, and it gave the brown lioness the idea that she could take her mate on a walk and discuss the possibility of leaving. It would be hard, particularly with all the added lions, the new girls for one, a topic that made Anju fume with rage. But, ever calculating she was sure that there was a way for them all to escape.

Looking around as she walked she was positive they'd walked far enough away from the den, and in a direction slightly different than the others had left, that they would be alone. About to open her mouth to tell Kikimu why they'd gone so far, when her eyes fell on two familiar forms.

"Well, there goes that." she grumbled turning to the yellow female.

Kikimu had been beating herself up for a long time, thinking that she had trapped Anju here, the other female loved her but hated this place. Kiki would be hard to admit allowed that she was happy, but it was obviously evident in her demeanor. Kiki was happy - more than happy, she had children that were grown, and she had slightly younger kids to help raise. Although Anju and Kikimu had always had wanderlust in their hearts, Kikimu felt very much at home.

"What? Why?" She was oblivious lost in thought about her boys off on their own, and when she looked up she spotted Ahnik and Tabia. Kikimu had feelings..very small feelings for Ahnik, but she couldn't peg down Tabia in her mind, the female had helped trap them, and that always disturbed Kiki.

"Well, we might as well say hello?" She tried not to look too cheery saying it They were close enough now that Ahnik and Tabia would be able to see them.

Her response came laced with a purr. "Very much. It is a fine day." She moved closer, eyes bright. "I was just reminiscing. Recalling all of our victories that have brought us here, to this day. With how well everything has gone so far, it is hard to complain." Her tail twitched and her smile widened a little further. "Perhaps another victory is in order, do you think?"

Her head turned at the sound of distant voices. They had not been loud enough for her to make out the words, but they were familiar.

Kikimu and Anju. Ah. And now they were all together. Something of a rarity, perhaps, considering the somewhat odd relationships they all shared with one another. "Perhaps the day is about to get better after all, hm?" She batted her eyes at him and turned to stand at his side, facing the approaching females as she did so, lowering her voice just a little; "I think your charm is winning them over."

And then, raising her voice, she called out in a friendly tone (though perhaps slightly overly friendly): "Morning ladies! Enjoying a stroll this morning, are we?"

Tabia never failed to make him smile, she was his partner in crime.. a second beybanu, though of a different sort than Kikimu. Both were valuable partners to have in his life here, Anju was just fun to irritate and argue with.

"What did you have in mind?" he asked, grinning at her suggestion-- but then she was looking away and he followed her gaze to find his other banu nearby. They didn't often meet up outside of the den, not when he was with Tabia anyway. He almost wondered what brought them all the way out here but he was happy not to question it openly.

He grinned more broadly when she said he was winning them over, though he didn't say anything, even when Tabia called out a greeting to the other two. He looked on, silently smiling at them- looking particularly to Anju. Tabia was being polite, how would she respond?
