* ~:: Sand Trap - The Infamous Amago Haruhisa Incident ::~ * (Location - Yasogami High School - Rooftops)Cold Afternoon, June 26th, 2012. Yasogami High School - Rooftops.

High above the school grounds below, upon the tops of the school buildings there is a sense of unusual calm which permeates the air during such an intense, trying time. It is almost as if time itself has slowed and the world feels like it could wait forever for whatever might come. There is peace here, but also a protective malice, indignant, as though the very earth and the trees surrounding the school were feeding into it and giving it strength. No doubt can be found, whatever is atop the roof there will be battle...a battle for peace, a battle for peace-of-mind, and for the chance at retribution.
Here is the waiting spot for Yoritsuna Anegakoji, Sage of the Trees and former ruler of the Blue Sky Castle. Feeding off the power of the Earth, he seeks his moment of vengeance for all the natural beauty lost to war...
This is the Tale of the Infamous Amago Haruhisa Incident! ...Um, how did it go again? Quote: Rooftop Guardian - Anegakoji Yoritsuna

Rednal Ak'ThiasRednal's hand hesitated for just a moment as he reached for the handle that would let him open the door and burst onto the roof. From the other side of the door, he could feel some sort of foul intent... focused, angry, disturbing. As if the land itself was angry and riled up somehow. Psh. I fought Nyarlathotep. This isn't that bad. He thought, more to psych himself up more than anything else. He opened the door a moment later, stuck his head out, and looked around. "...Nope, doesn't look like Minori's here." he said. "Hey, Yuno, do you know where Minori is at the moment?" he asked, looking towards his important friend. Well, she was holding binoculars, and she might have seen Minori walking around, and no, he definitely wasn't trying to look industrious and helpful in order to get Yuno as far away from these intruders as possible. After all, they couldn't very well search for someone to hand over if they couldn't move around, right? Right?

 Satoru Otonashi
'Hey Toru, Remember that peaceful day passing?' His internal monologue kicked in, yeah of course he remembered it was like five minutes ago he commented on it why? 'Forget about that peace, ya got stuff that needs to be done.' Oh... Okay well okay self, if you say so. Wasn't the first time he was facing off against some Sengoku Period hero or warrior although the last time the air was much more tense, even though there was some big stakes here, plenty of innocents and friend in danger he couldn't help but be a bit more relaxed, maybe it was home ground advantage, or just confidence in his power either was this seemed like it would be a bit of fun. Not exactly what he wanted to plan with his day, but when did his plans stick anyway. "Oh, hey Rednal" He spoke of as the junior burst onto the roof "Glad to see you're alright..." Toru gave a few glances around he hadn't seen Minori at all then again he didn't exactly plan of looking to hard for her, and he wasn't the kind to hand over someone either, he wasn't even sure what class she was in, perhaps searching the classrooms was an ideal first step, but then again, why did these people want Minori. Well that was no matter right now. "Hmm perhaps i shouldn't let this hostile prevent me from studying" That wasn't the most believable thing in the world, but he was growing tired of the roof and Rednal was here most likely for Yuno so he didn't need to watch over her.

W.Y.N.N. are you my master? As Rednal had went up the stairs, a strange looking green haired female started up as well, having decided to try a different waiting point for the one that matched her voice patterns with. Plus, when they were high up, she could see further. "Pardon me.....but have you seen a figure with long golden hair?" she called to the two that were near her, noticing the three figures. She knew not any of them, and the way things were, none of them fit her (slightly damaged) picture of the one locked into her mainframe. Not that it mattered, seeing as she was not hindered by anything other than not having an individual to program orders to her. One who looked closer would probably realize she didn't even belong in the school still, with her large brown robes, and the staff she held. An unfortuate visitor, perhaps?

Anegakoji Yoritsuna, Lord of the Blue Sky Castle
The sense of peaceful malice that permeated the rooftop grew thicker and thicker with each successive set of feet that tread upon it, as though there very presence were disturbing the air and making it grow more and more angry. And then as the voices began to echo there was a whisper like wind through the trees across the wide area, and like a groan of the earth something began to rise out of the floor of the roof at the center of the quartet between Rednal and Yuno and Toru and Wynn. It was brown and covered in thick skin, like...a tree! In fact from the look of the large, round object it was a tree, or a log, which seemed to rise almost like a mirage before them until it stood several feet high, above their heads like a looming shadow, thick and strong as a redwood. ...And then with a metallic sound, like a sword being drawn, a thin line was clashed on any side of the severed log. From the top the log fell one way, the bottom seeming to meld into the roof beneath him, and standing there where the tree had stood moments earlier was a man in strange armor adorned with the symbol of leaves, which also adorned his back and his pointed helm which resembled something like a treetop itself. It seemed this warrior was very in-tune with nature, a peaceful but menacing aura now centered around his person, like a tree in the face of the civilization that encroached upon it.
"Too often have I heard the sounds of man in the realm of natural beauty. Civilization lead by corrupt government disregarding nature, taking and consuming what is not yours to destroy. None are more at fault than this land's Shogun, whose deceptions lead to the destruction of my clan's lands, whose careless ambition has lead to the destruction of so much of this country's nature," the warrior spoke in a low, almost sleepy drawl, "I wish that I could simply meld into the forest and hibernate through the winter. However...before I can achieve this slumber there is much I must do." Drawing his sword, he stood offering an unspoken challenge. The orders of Amago Haruhisa must be obeyed; they must not fail this mission to bring the shogun to his knees. Much depended on it...and so he drew his sword and stood tall and proud, ready for what would surely come if these kids were strong of spirit.
"I offer you the opportunity to back down. I desire peace, but if you refuse, I will do as commanded."

Rednal Ak'Thias and Yuno"Being the epitome of a modern Japanese person who has renounced land-destroying violence as the answer to problems as per Chapter Two, Article Nine, Section One of the Japanese Constitution, I am okay with backing down." Rednal said, raising one hand without so much as a flicker of hesitation. After all, as a major change from the ancient Sengoku era and such, Japanese people of this time and place tended to be a lot more interested in peace than in war... leave us alone on our little island and let us export our perverted cartoons and we'll all be just fine. War is the problem, not the solution! Only uncultured barbarians would try to solve all of their problems by pummeling each other instead of talking things out. "Come on, Yuno, let's listen to the nice samurai and go downstairs."Slowly and non-threateningly, Yuno began to scoot around the edges of the area and towards the door, nodding in agreement with Rednal's words. Oh, here he was trying to save her once more from whatever the heck was happening... how romantic. Ehehe.

W.Y.N.N. are you my master? The silver haired one, and the pink haired one seemed to walk away without awnsering her question, and in their place, was a man wearing some kind of outfit, decorated in leaves. Again, she blinked, re-analyzing the area as the tree-man spoke. Speaking of Nature, and it's beauty? Talking about the destruction of the lands? W.Y.N.N. didn't know of such things.
"I do not comprehend." she called, clutching her staff tightly. "If one has the oppurtunity to meld in with nature, and one desires it, wouldn't one want to take it?" Was there something else? What was it the man must do? She held her staff more tightly at the drawing of the sword, in self defense. She could sense a small amount of hostility, with a level of kindness underneath.

 Satoru Otonashi
Leaving already, how lame. Toru knew that this guy would follow his orders no matter what, it was just a matter of time. But then again Toru could start to stop him now. Toru, normally wasn't one to escalate a conflict, but these people were threatening the lives of his fellow students and his friends. "Normally I'd take you up on that offer." Toru started, he would have drawn his sword, but alas he had no sword to draw this time, after all he couldn't really get away carrying it around school. But he had his main offensive tool with him. "I mean I was relaxing enjoying a peaceful day, until you're lot showed up." he shrugged, he had no clue if he could take this guy by himself, but the mysterious girl beside him seemed like she might be able to help. She had a staff with her, so technically she was armed which was a plus. He knew this could end badly for him, but he was going to stick to his plan to fight, if he needed to. Perhaps he'd get more assistance at some point.

Anegakoji Yoritsuna, Lord of the Blue Sky Castle
It was a little unexpected that one of the bunch was actually willing to take him up on his offer to retreat from the ceiling, but he supposed that he had no issues with them going about their way. He didn't necessarily like this plan from the start, but after their losses in ancient times, the need to go further in their combined efforts to defeat their shared enemy had arisen. Still, their target was meant to be a single person, one whom they intended not to kill, but to use to manipulate the Shogun into their plans. If he could avoid killing anybody, particularly an innocent who seemed to have some genuine concern for the lands that there dwelt upon, then Anegakoji Yoritsuna would be fine with letting them go. It wasn't as though they could escape the school and let the cat out of the bag on their plans anyway, not with that brute Satake Yoshishige blocking the school door and the clever Hirotsuna Utsonomiya at the gate, anyway. Thus he allowed Rednal and Yuno to make their tempered escape, turning his attention instead to the other two potential opponents who stood before him. "You...are a strange person," the samurai observed as WYNN spoke, finding something about her feel that was different...unnatural. He couldn't deny that it rubbed him the wrong way. "But one must do what they can to safeguard the things they desire. ...If I do not take action, all the natural beauty I love may soon disappear."
His attention was stolen after that by the blond young man who seemed to have no intention of backing down from the potential battle; he seemed to group the entire Amago crew as the same type of people with a single mind. The battle-readiness was palpable, but Toru's foe was no less ready if it was a battle that he wanted. His sword remained ready despite his lax posture, "It may not be an ideal method, but we are doing what we must. You still have the option of avoiding conflict. ...I suggest you take it."

W.Y.N.N. are you my master? WYNN's eyes closed and opened again as she stood, listening to what the strange man had to say. "Beauty?" she called, her head tilting to the side with her staff still between her hands. "Desire....I do not comprehend these things. But, I do not wish to allow any misfortune to fall upon anyone. I am Wind Yakura No Number. If you are threatening another person, I will have to intervene."
She held her staff still at the ready, the wind ruffling her hair a bit as she stood, prepared for a fight if necessary. Desire.....desire...what is desire?.......Desire (Dii-zai-err) Noun: A strong feeling of wanting to have something or wishing for something to happen...... What did she want? Or what did she want to have? Hmm...

Rednal Ak'ThiasThe door clicked shut as Yuno exited the rooftop, and Rednal nodded slightly. It wasn't safe, exactly, but it was at least slightly safer. Now, how to defuse tensions here...? "I think ideal methods should always be sought, though. I mean, I don't exactly have any affection for the Shogun..." The Shogun's soldiers had freaking shot him, after all, "...but I'm not really sure that trying to kidnap a High School student is going to do much to help your ambitions or protect the environment. The Shogun... uh... didn't really strike me as the sort of person who would let little things like kidnappings stop him from doing what he wanted, and I don't think doing anything to get his attention before you're really ready for him is a good idea. He kinda scares me. Also, the girl you're looking for has a lot of friends who'd totally fight to protect her. Silly, yeah, but a lot of young people are more 'act first, think never', know what I mean? Brains that haven't finished developing and all that. Maybe we can all work out some kind of bargain that doesn't involve kidnapping innocent schoolgirls, so nobody has to get hurt today?"

 Satoru Otonashi
Brains that haven't finished developing... "Wouldn't you also be one of those people Ak'Thias?" Toru was doing only what he thought was the right thing to do now. These people didn't exactly look like they were going to back down, not after the speech their leader had given. Toru gave not a second thought about this being about their rivalry against the current Shogun, and he didn't care for someone climbing to claim being shogun in this day and age. "I'm pretty sure the bad blood between Haruhisa Amago and Motonari Mori isn't going to die down any time soon and to be honest..." Toru paused, he had talked himself out of a battle once, but this was a group of people not a single target. "Then again, although Haruhisa Amago seems set on this plan." Toru thought rubbing his chin "I wonder where this one's morals lie." it wouldn't be uncommon for one of the men in a group to not always agree with the plan their leader sets in motion, but just in case. There was a flash of silver Toru pulled his Evoker from its spot in his jacket. The nice thing about an Evoker was it had to real barrel or slide like a real gun so it at times looked like a fake gun or play prop. "But if we must fight, I think we should know the name of the one we're battle against" the strange girl next to him gave her... name? Wind Yakura No Number...? What was she... a robot. How unlikely is th-.. wait. Aigis. Never mind. "I'm Otonashi Satoru, I'll stand here and fight for what I believe is right. Even if others call me crazy." that was a long winded self introduction for the normal reserved and quiet senior, but his point was made

Anegakoji Yoritsuna, Lord of the Blue Sky Castle
"You all seem to misunderstand...you speak as though it is I being talked down from the ledge. I assure you, it is the other way around," the feudal daimyo shook his head a little disappointed, all the insistence that they would take him down, fight him, or stop him if he did not back down or attempted to fight (save, mostly, for Rednal) putting on display the sort of black-and-white thinking that made the world so frustrating. Nothing was ever so simple, and such idealistic thinking that they could wait and choose the optimal method to do everything where nobody ever got hurt was ludicrous, a childish hope that could never be fulfilled. Their method might not have been the most morally ethical, but at the least if they could succeed, there was only one person who would ultimately be harmed...the one deserving of their scorn and vengeance, Motonari Mori. Why did it have to be this way? "In all the long years we have lived, before and after our rebirth, that man has never shown a single weakness nor concern for one mere individual...and all of us who are here together now have been wronged by him. None more has been more deeply wounded, in pride or defeat, than our leader...Amago Haruhisa...and no matter what, he will not allow anyone to prevent him from taking advantage of this moment. Only now has Motonari Mori allowed himself to become vulnerable, perhaps believing that in his current station there are none who would, or are able to challenge him. We are merely striking at that vulnerability in order to draw him out. If there were another path...do not doubt that I would have already tread upon it."
"There is much to be said...far too much to relate all our stories to you here and now...and time is of the essence. Every breath of the wind brings word of our move closer to him, and we must have the girl before then. That is why...I cannot allow any to escape this place and hasten that moment. Do you understand?" he asked calmly, remaining eased into his lax stance, ready to fight, and though he had made his plea for peace if they were unwilling to compromise now, there was nothing he could do to avoid it, "The girl will not be harmed if she comes willingly...it is not upon her head we wish to take our vengeance. On my honor, as the once-Lord of the Proud Anegakoji Clan and the Blue Sky Castle, Yoritsuna, beneath the shadows of this land's trees, she will endure no hurt...and any blow which might fall upon her would first cast aside my body to strike. But you must surrender and wait with me here...or if you feel compelled to oppose our plan and do what you think is just, then draw your weapons and strike me down if you can. I will bear you no ill will for either choice...though I may yet be compelled to strike you down."

Rednal Ak'ThiasRednal put a hand on his hip. "Odd, though, isn't it? Guy's brilliant, seriously so, without a single weakness, and suddenly he goes really far out of his way to give himself one? I mean, come on. Yeah, Koroko's kind of on the cute side, but that's not exactly unique in all of Japan, and this is Inaba, for crying out loud. The cursed, formerly-blockaded town that he could probably get away with torching in its entirety in order to contain some 'menace' people already believe is here. I have absolutely nothing against you, but you're asking us to turn over a friend of ours to you when there's no proof this isn't just a plot to bring you out into the open so you can be destroyed, and maybe she could be 'conveniently' disposed of along with you to make her a martyr for his cause. I'll take your oath at face value, but I can see a lot of advantages in the Shogun hurting her in the midst of some 'incident'. Sorry, but I just can't believe that this plan of yours is going to work, or I'd be all for it. Besides... I have an important friend that I owe a lot to, and I don't think he'd be very happy with me if I let anything happen to Koroko while he's gone. I'd really, really rather not fight you, but I think it'd be even worse if I went along with you."

 Satoru Otonashi
What an odd predicament. But Toru, was set, he knew that he wasn't ready to stand down. Even if he didn't really know Minori Koroko, he still was ready to help her out. It was pretty odd for someone to put their life on the line for someone they scarcely knew, but Toru never was the most, normal person, he was always will to fight to defend what he a stood for above all less. But still how tough was this guy going to be. The last time he stood up against a Sengoku Warrior he almost died, and was lucky to actually live. "Very odd that someone so powerful would go out to create a weakness for himself." Toru was confused by this point, what kind of man would do that. Then again what kind of man would throw his life on the line for someone they never really talked to. Strangle people indeed, and he was one of them. Evoker in hand he was ready for anything.
