Reiatsu Appearance- Storm clouds appear at varying degrees contrary to jin's reiatsu level. The type also depends on his mood. Rain for sadness, thunderstorms for anger, and snow for loneliness.

Hair Color- A dark brown, shaggy ponytail, or as Jin says, " It's a wolftail... ". Multiple strands poke out, showing the hasty creation of the 'do.

Markings- Jin has one large slash across his back, given to him by a traitor Shinigami.
Description- Jin is one of the oddball captains. Instead of wearing the centric black and white, he switches to pale pinks, and reds as his main scheme. His haori is cut high, ending at about mid thigh, and is a bright amethyst, with gold trim. Instead of a Kosode, Jin wears a cheap shirt, dyed pink in the wash from a red sock. His pant's are odd as well, their bagginess accented by the tighter fabric at his lower calf. The pants meet boots made of calfskin. Instead of an obi to carry his blade, Jin resorts to a leather belt, with a shiny gold buckle.
While jin isn't the most handsome of men, his boyish looks grow on you before you realize it. If it wasn't for the scruffy hair on his chin, many would think him much younger. His body on the other hand, is something to brag about. His biceps are clearly defined, meeting strong muscled shoulders. Jin's pectoral muscles stick out quite a bit, before meeting up with a slightly rippled stomach.
Extra- Jin always carries a Tessen, or battle fan. It is a normal paper fan, with struts made of metal capable of blocking a low powered shikai blade.
Personality
Relationships-
Description- Jin is an extremely relaxed and easy-going person. This causes a bit of tension between the So-Taicho and himself because of their natural difference in personality. He's somewhat of a romancer, though it tends to be unintentional most of the time. He can be a bit unstable emotionally sometimes, this is due to the closenesss he has with his Zanpakuto's spirit. Susano'O was often known for his rampages and hot temper and sometimes, this impetuousness can influence Setsuna resulting in clouded judgement. He can also be incredibly lazy, preferring to sleep in all day and have his subordinates do his work for him. For what its worth he actually is quite intelligent, though he'd want you to think otherwise.

Dislikes- No clouds, hangovers, being awake, and people hitting on his sister.

Spirit's Name- Susano'O
Sealed Appearance- The Sword looks to be a wakisashi with snaksnin covering the sheath and handle. The skin had naturally formed in a cloud - like pattern, which is a rare and amazing thing.
Spirit's Description- Susano'O is actually the spirit of the Shinto god Susano'O, turned into a blade.
Shikai Release Phrase- Thunder Down From The Heavens, Susano'O!
Shikai Description- Jin gain's the Godly Red Armor of Susano'o, as well as a mighty Nodachi
Abilities-
::With shikai released, Jin gains unparalleled control over lightning and all its forms. Due to the various forms of energy flowing through his body, Jin's released state affords him an exponential increase in raw power. In this form Jin also gains the ability to alter the weather on a small scale, although it may fluctuate without his doing if he feels heavy emotions. ::
1. Raikiri [Lightning Blade]- Jin veils his blade with an electric current, substantially increasing its cutting power. This technique makes his sword neigh unstoppable, enabling it to cut through almost anything standing in its path. Raikiri has a major secondary effect, if it cuts or pierces a living being the electrical current can throw off the synapses of the nerves in the area resulting in partial paralysis of that limb or in strange cases reversal of motor control [meaning he can basically change how your body moves, i.e. trying to raise your right arm instead kicks out your left foot].
2. Inazuma [Lightning Bolt]- Jin summons a massive lightning bolt from the sky to electrocute his opponents. Often times he will use his sword as a lightning rod to have more accurate control of the strike. A favorite move of his entails him throwing the sword like a spear and finishing it with the lightning bolt should the opponent be impaled, electrocuting them to death. In some dire cases Jin will strike himself with the lightning and absorb its electrical energies [Can only do this twice in a battle].
3. Kaminari no Bakuhatsu [Lightning Explosion]- Jin's most powerful attack with Shikai released. After absorbing as much electricity as his body allows, Jin will focus all that energy into one point and compress it. When it can be pressed no longer the energy will rapidly expand outward, releasing a devastating shockwave of electrical energy to incinerate his enemies into ash.
Bankai Release Phase-" Bankai, Kusanagi no Tsurugi [ Grasscutter Blade ]
Bankai Description- A Shorter sword is created by changing the nodachi. Upon entering Bankai, The nodachi will shorten and morph into a katana length blade.
Abilities-
:: With Bankai unleashed, Jin becomes the absolute lord of storms. He gains the ability to conjure large scale storms on a whim. His physical power skyrockets to that of Susano'O himself. Jin's lightning is documented to be the most potent, as well as the most finely of controled. Very few with lightning based powers can contend with his ability over storms. ::
1. Yamato no Orochi [8-branched Giant Snake]- Literally the most powerful attack in Jin's whole arsenal. He raises his arms into the bringing forth a powerful storm, a hole will appear in the clouds and 8 massive lightning bolts will rain down from the clouds merging into the form of an 8 headed serpent. The beast moves with a frightening quickness and will completely obliterate an opponent of less spiritual power should they come into contact with it. It was the power to level a city.

History
Biography Before Death: Jin Setsuna was born on Okinawa Island the birthplace of modern karate, to a prominent family of martial arts practitioners. While they were known for their Setsuna brand of karate, their true claim to fame was their school for swordsmanship. Legend has it that the Setsuna's were actual descendants of the Storm God, Susano'O. Every 1000 years Susano'O himself would be reincarnated into the first born male child of the family. Jin being the legitimate first born son of family in the second reincarnation cycle was held with high expectations. The boy had a natural knack for holding a sword, something he inherited from his predecessor and grew to become a fine warrior. However he wanted an easy life, fighting for a lord who showed him little loyalty was something that didn't sit quite well with him. Forsaking his family's name and reputation he fled from his duties and moved to the countryside where he lived carefree. On his 25th birthday he received a visit from his sister who tracked him down. That night he died inexplicably of mysterious causes.
Biography After Death: After his death, Jin woke up in the Soul Society back in his normal clothes which he found strange... because he couldn't remember them. The dazed and confused Setsuna scrambled to his feet and began to wander, something he was used to doing from his previous life. Much of this portion is left uncertain, it is known that Setsuna found a family however who they are is left under wraps. It is also unknown as to how he found out about the Gotei 13, as he'd seemingly never come into contact with a shinigami. These however where minor details and overlooked, thus began his career and rise in the shinigami military core.
Biography at Soul Reaper Academy: During his short tenure as a student in the academy he was known for his perpetual laziness. He also had his shortcomings in Kido, but when it came to Zanjutsu class that's when Jin shined. His skills were feared by some of the other students, bordering on otherworldly proficiency. It didn't matter how sharp it was... if it had a blade he could use it. This was also the time where Jin was at his peak as a womanizer.
Biography in Division: The final chapter of Jin Setsuna's long life, because of his lack of Kido knowledge in general but his exceptional sword skill more than made up for it. He was picked up by the Juichibantai where spent most of his career. His rise to current status as Taicho of the Hachibantai was a slow and steady one, partially due to his own sluggish pace and poor work ethic. However his skill could not be denied and once he matured he became a respected member of the division. He transferred into his current division after being offered the 4th seat. It would be a long time before he actually became Taicho but it was finally worth the wait. During his time as Fuku-Taicho the current Taicho had died in battle. It wasn't very glamorous, and it definitely didn't help his reputation but his rise to power had finally been achieved. And after the first few decades, Jin had become a respectable Taicho in his own right.
