Upon entering a the cute bakery the smell of freshly baked bread wafts through the air as well as the light scent of sweets. The sweets are the first visual notice of the shop with the long glass case concealing them yet displaying their deliciousness for all to see. The register is at the left end of the case for people who are here to simply pick up an order previously announced or just a treat for the moment. The shop is rather sizable for a bakery with walls filled with breads of all kinds to be sold. Some are hard, others soft and squishy but whatever your fancy is, the baker can guarantee at least they will be fresh. A few tables sit near the entrance for those who wish to eat their sweets and look out the large bay windows at the people rummaging through the streets.Floor Plan

She loved her job, loved baking, loved just being in her shop as it was hers and no one else's. The sense of having ownership over something that day in and day out made people happy just left her with the overwhelming feeling of satisfaction. There were days though, like this morning, where one customer just would not be nice. They yelled, ranted, screamed about a cake Ali didn't even make since the lady hadn't come to order it ever but no, the woman was certainly admit that she did. She demanded a cake and money she 'paid' for said cake and despite being such a timid lady, the baker held fast and continued to deny the lady anything. It wasn't until the lady's husband came in did the screaming stop, he had to explain to her they were there to ORDER the cake, not pick up one. The lady couldn't leave the shop sooner and as soon as she did Ali collapsed into a chair to breathe. The husband thankfully apologized a thousand times about this mishap, his wife had some memory problems and they weren't sure exactly what was going on except maybe age. Ali did though, probably against better judgement, did take the cake order only since the husband promised he would pick it up by himself.
Other than that today was a smooth sailing day, occasionally bumps in the road happens but its the way of life. One just needs to know how to handle such a bump and learning that is a great thing to have; patience is what Ali got out of it all & the ability to stand up for herself (even if slightly). The lass was glad when everyone was gone, she made a cup of coffee and took a slice of vanilla cake (with coffee cup) over to one of the seats by the window and ate. Even though the store was closed it didn't hurt to have any her time and be able to check out the people today in the streets. Most by now knew the place was closed so no one was trying to enter, thankfully.
A silver fork slowly slid into the cake cutting off a tiny bite sized piece and brought up to her mouth where she ate it. Unlike most people who would quickly devour the cake, she was one to eat slowly and actually enjoy the food she cooked. Occasionally (actually more than often) she would taste some of her desserts to see if she could make it better, flavourful, creamier, richer, anything to help it just overall be one awesome dessert! She loved her job, maybe a little too much since she was overweight from indulging in her food.
Once Ali had finished her moment she began the long clean up and putting away of some things. Mostly everything was fine where it was, the bread was packaged and wouldn't need to be thrown away; anything she thought wouldn't sell she gave away to friends, family, but mostly to beggars or the homeless. Everyone needs food and she would rather give it away than throw it away. It's no surprise some beggars would sit by her trash can in the back alley sometimes waiting for her. Today happened to be one of those days, lucky for them Ali didn't mind giving some bread away that wasn't exactly 'not sellable' and no not by the means its moldy or anything but after a day or two people prefer fresher bread so she simply gives away the not fresh bread.
The place was finally clean, more bread would need to be made in the morning but hopefully someone wouldn't mind buying the bread made today instead (first). The lass finally walked out the front door, everything was turned off except the coolers which needed to keep the desserts and fancily decorated cakes fresh. With a click signifying it was locked she made her way onto the streets of Gallaleo.
