Name: Aloisia Adler
Gender: Female
Age at Death: 13
Occupation: Maid
Personality: She is an introverted child who is more comfortable with doing activities on her own or with a few others she is acquainted with. Aloisia is a self-sufficient child who is capable and also prefers to take care of herself rather than let someone go to the trouble of looking after her. Compared to most children, she is mature in that she is able to remember her manners and avoid trouble or nosy investigating when the opportunities arise. Although she prefers to be independent, she also recognizes her inabilities as a child and will not hesitate to politely request for help from others. Though Aloisia is introverted, she is not completely against socializing and will gladly converse when spoken to. During conversion she usually does most of the listening while politely smiling, but when she is suddenly expected to talk she becomes flustered. In fact, it is easy to embarrass and fluster Aloisia, mainly through compliments or possible flirting. Aloisia is also sweet and thoughtful to friends and acquaintances alike. She offers many compliments as well as giving people small gifts or doing things they request her to do.
Inherited Quirks: Due to her past life, Aloisia still holds a fondness for making clothes and fashion in general. When she finds tattered clothes she will not hesitate to fetch her sewing kit and patch them up. Although she doesn’t sew often and rarely pricks herself, Aloisia continues to bandage her fingers. She has also retained her fear of water, and shies away from fountains and rivers and other bodies of water she can plunge into. Aloisia is also absolutely terrified of storms and wary of rain.
Summary of Past Life: Her name was Ada Schiffer, the daughter of a sailor and a seamstress. As a sailor, her father was often away from home, sailing the seas as he transported cargo from one country to the next. Since he could not personally spend time with his family, he opted to keep in contact through letters and small trinkets he found during his travels to other cities. The souvenirs he sent back were quite, ranging from shells to wilted flowers to rusted jewelry, but Ada and her mother treasured them nonetheless. In particular, Ada treasured a flower necklace that her father bought while in England. She kept it with her at all times.

Although Ada loved her father, she admittedly cherished her mother more. Unsurprisingly, it was due to the fact that she spent more time personally bonding with her mother. Their relationship was also strengthened by the fact that Ada became an assistant at her mother’s shop, allowing them to share yet another thing between them. Her mother was delighted that her daughter also shared a passion for making clothes for others and eagerly taught Ada everything she knew. Since her family was too poor to send her to school, Ada spent most of her day helping her mother with sewing as well as practicing on her own. Despite her lack of an education, her mother managed to teach her how to read and write—just enough so that she could read her father’s letters and occasionally write back to him as well.

However, for her thirteenth birthday her father came home and offered her a special present: a chance to join him on a voyage to England. Since Ada had never left her town before, she eagerly agreed. Her mother stayed behind as Ada and her father left the port, but a few days into the voyage the ship was caught in a massive storm. The ship rattled and was constantly filled with water. Ada had a difficult time resting due to constant thunder, causing her to develop a case of astraphobia. Unfortunately, the ship never made it to England and it was torn to pieces during the storm. Her body washed ashore, where Scarlet found her.
Recent History: When she woke up, she found herself in the care of a small group of street children. Since she had absolutely no memory of her past life, the children chose to give her the name “Aloisia.” It was only after she wandered the streets and found a fallen newspaper did she decide to use the last name “Adler” after a local physician who passed away. Aloisia spent the next few months living on the streets with the other children until a rich altruist chose to take her in as a maid due to her polite and obedient demeanor. She currently lives in one of the small rooms at his mansion and can be often scene cleaning the house or running errands around town. Since her employer has somewhat of a soft spot for Aloisia—he is quite affectionate toward children—she occasionally accompanies him when he travels.
Fondest Memory: It was when her employer—Rainer Moreau—took her in. Aloisia had managed to pick up some fallen flowers at a nearby florist shop. She attempted to sell them, but the flowers were already wilted and paled in comparison to the plants at the shop. To make matters worse, it began to rain that day. A man walking by dropped his things and she moved to help pick them up. Although the stranger was wary at first, as soon as he realized Aloisia’s intentions he asked for her name. They began a conversation that ended with the man offering her shelter and a job at his home. She agreed and she accompanied him in his carriage. Once arriving at his mansion, Aloisia admired the fine furniture and the warmth of the building. She had found a place to call “home” at last.
Worst Memory: Life on the streets is tough. People are forced to deceive honest, hardworking citizens in order to barely live—opposite of Aloisia’s morals, but she had no choice. The only other option was to face death. It was a dreary day filled with grey clouds. The group of street children she had joined decided to collaborate to steal some bread from the bakery. In the end, the owner noticed them and the children were chased by adults. Aloisia was absolutely terrified, as she was one of the few who had procured bread. She snaked through the crowd and moved as fast as her legs could take her, praying that she would not get caught. Fortunately, it was another child who was grabbed by the adults, but that night she cried for the poor boy she never saw again.
