It was snowing. Again. He looked outside of his den. The snow was falling harder than normal. His sister was in the corner, shivering. He felt horrible about wanting to come here, especially since it caused her so much pain. There was nothing he could do to help her, other than to comfort her with the thought that soon it would be summer. Of course he knew that it was a giant lie. Summer here wasn't like the summers they experienced when they were younger. Here the summer's were just like the winter. He wanted more than anything for a day of warmth for his sister, but the chances of that were slim. Maybe some day they would leave this pride, but for now he would make due.
Quietly, not wanting to disturb his sister, he left the den. He watched the snow flakes float down toward the ground. Unlike his sister he loved the snow. It didn't affect him like it did his sister. If he could he would ignore his duties to the pride and play around in the snow. It was cubbish, yes, especially at a time like this with the pride members on their toes. With everything becoming so serious he felt a larger need to just let loose and have some innocent fun.
He looked around to see if anyone was looking. When he was pretty sure than there was no one around he fell into the snow, leaving a large imprint of himself. As quickly as he fell he got back up and carefully stepped around the mark he made. He admired it proudly. "That's what I call a snow lion."

With keen eyes Erimentha made her way through the snow, looking in every direction for any sign of danger to herself or others. She was certainly the type of lioness to lay down her life if it meant protecting another's and lately it seemed the chances of that happening were growing. There had been rumors of trouble brewing within the pride, what of though was still unknown to her. She stifled the sigh she felt growing in her chest from this thought. Why would it be her luck to arrive with trouble right around the corner? Not that she didn't mind a little sparing now and then. But this? This was surely not something she was to keen on.
Something pulled her from her thoughts. As her eyes locked on a gray lion just as he fell into the snow. Erimentha of course thought he had been injured or maybe passed out from some unknown cause. Either way she made her way quickly to him only realize he was perfectly fine. He rose from the snow without a scratch and rather quickly after falling. A small grin graced her maw when she saw the imprint he had left in the snow and at his own comment. Not more then a few inches behind him she nodded. "Not bad at all." Erimentha laughed as she made her way to his side, still looking at the imprint. "Looks like a twin to the real one." She said before looking over at him, still smiling.

Luoji jumped and turned around. He thought he was by himself. When he saw it was a lioness who spoke he gave her a gentle smile. "Aw I thought I was by myself. I normally don't act so um cub like." He said a bit shyly. He bowed his head. "Thank you for the compliment. My art is very important to me." He said jokingly. To him this wasn't truly art. It was more to do something to pass the time. There wasn't too much to do out here in the snow. It wasn't like the grass lands that he called home.
"My name is Luoji by the way." He greeted. With all the happening in the pride he hadn't been able to go around and meet all his fellow members. There were very few members he knew. Most of the ones he did meet wanted to talk about the happening of the pride's government. From what he knew there seemed to be a rebellion happening. Being a new member made him unsure about what side to take.
"Would you like to play in the snow with me?" He asked suddenly. Thinking more about the pride made the desire to just forget about it stronger. He wanted nothing more than to roll around in the snow until it was time to fulfill his duties. It would be even better to do so with a friend.
