Freya had wanted nothing more than to get as far away from that Terror Warrior situation as possible. What better way to do so, than to return to her dorm! She had no idea where it was, but she had a sister who did, and that was enough! She'd lugged her big trunk all the way inside, and saw several boxes waiting for her. Presents! Everything her papa had ordered had arrived, waiting to be opened and set up.
It was like her birthday all over again! Except Papa wasn't here to put things together for her. She dropped her trunk and looked around at the small room, sighing softly. This was her new home now, for a while.
She missed home already.
She had left the door open for her sister, and started checking out the boxes, finding out what was in each one before she considered where things might go.

Things had taken a rather interesting turn as of late! Never in a million years would Hel have thought that her sister would follow her to the Academy. So to have seen the older valkyrie here well…it was…surprising to say the least. It was almost like being home again in a way. Now she could…go to her sister whenever something popped up, and something had indeed popped up. Well, quite a few things, actually! First and foremost though, there was a score to brag about! Something things never change, that’s for sure.
Hel was grinning as she marched right on up to Freya’s room and stood proudly in the open doorway with a hand triumphantly on her hip and a runic Foxfire underneath her other arm. “Sister!” She greeted loudly. “Rejoice and sing my praises, for I have conquered the Terror Warrior!”

Freya stuck her head back up after diving into a large box, which held a piece of the couch, and she grinned toothily at her sister. "Was there ever any doubts? I likes your prize, it looks fluffy!" Fluffy like her couch looked. She reached in and touched it - and her eyes rolled back. Ohh, this would be wonderful!
"Come, close door behinds you and helps me put this couch together. I wants to sit in my new room! HAHA, this room is mine! No more bunking with two other ghouls!" This was definitely the positive light that she viewed the situation, but at the same time it sounded rather lonely. At least Hel would be close by. She may end up sneaking into her sisters room sometimes, at this rate.
She knocked the box on its side, and started ripping the cardboard out. "Sittings, sittings time~" She hummed to herself, and the light flickered. Ooops.

“Of course there were no doubts!” Hel boasted. “You should…see the scoreboard, dear sister…” The younger ghoul commented slyly before looking down at the Fox Fire under her arm, grinning lightly. “He’s very fluffy!” She replied, staring as the Fox Fire’s tongue hung out of its mouth and it wagged its tail. “What do you think of the name Vili, sister?” Hel questioned, stepping into the room and closing the door behind her as instructed.
She then came over and peered into the box as well, and made a face. “What? Father gave you a couch?” Her cheeks puffed out as her brows furrowed. Gah, older sisters always got new things! No fair! The reaper hummed thoughtfully, rubbing her chin with her free hand as she stared at Freya speculatively. “Mmmmm…I don’t think I’ll help!” She suddenly sneered, and quickly grinned with amusement. “No one helped me when I set up my room.” Hel was just being a brat though; it was her job to hassle her sister! Of course she’d help…after some more bickering.

Freya picked her head up from the box and narrowed her eyes at her sister, before balling up a piece of packing paper and hurling it at her full speed. "Yeh little brat, come here and helps yehr sister right now or I throws yeh out of my room and tells yeh nothing about the goings on at home!"
That ought to shut her up. Freya eyed the foxfire with dismay, bending in and squishing her nose when the foxfire tried to squirm closer to lick it.
"Yeah. Fluffy."

Hel was still grinning even as Freya’s head popped up and she narrowed her eyes at her. The reaper tensed as her sister threw a paper ball at her, her free hand reaching out quickly to swipe the offending piece of paper away from her and somewhere off to the side of the room. The younger ghoul chuckled. “You wouldn’t throw me out, dearest sister.” She replied rather confidently, perking up when Freya mentioned home. Oooh, a first hand account of how things were would be delightful!
“Oh, I suppose I have time I can spare to help.” Hel retorted. “Consider yourself lucky, sister.” She watched as Freya leaned in close to her Fox Fire and made a small face. “Well, his fur is fluffy, yes, but his name is Vili!” The Fox Fire yipped happily at hearing his named called, and the reaper then moved him to her shoulder, and set to helping out her sister with her couch. “So, what news do you have of home?”

It was now Freya's turn to be a brat, as she opened the box and tilted the contents out. "I tolds yeh!" She announced, flopping down on a half of a couch. "I tells yeh once yeh've helped! So we puts it together, THEN I tells yeh."
Bratty Brynhildrs were bratty.
Freya kicked her boots off, one by one, and relaxed on the softness of the half-couch. It looked like she was going to try and milk this for all it was worth, in fact.

Bryhildrs were also negotiators.
“How about you tell me while I help. It will make the time go by faster, yes?” Hel set to work putting together some pieces here and there, but she paused once the older sister stopped and seemed to be…relaxing? “Uh, what are you doing sister?” The valkyrie questioned innocently, as if she didn’t know what Freya was up to. “Aren’t you going to work on your couch as well?”

Hel stopped any and everything that she was doing now, and stood up, placing her hands on her hips. She was trying to look intimidating, but she probably failed with the giant poof ball on her shoulder with his tag hanging out. “I’m not going to help until you start telling me something.” The ghoul announced. “For each tidbit of information, I’ll work harder.”
The ghoul examined her finger nails. “I think that sounds fair.”

Hm.. a fair trade. She got back up, and started unpacking a different box- filled with pillows.
"Fine. I tells yeh something. Papa almost kills Finnr next door because he founds the boil scalings the walls to watch us in our rooms undressing. There was SO MUCH BLOODS HAH!" She threw the pillows up in the air and laughed. "I tolds Finnr, if he wants a show he should have gone when Papa was workings, but he is stupid boil. Stupid, stupid boil."
Then again what boil wasn't stupid?
"Finnr's papa didn't even stops Papa when he came, because you knows he deserves it. He just asks not to kills the boil, and Papa obliged. But his face was puffy like a pillow for days!" She held one pillow to each cheek and made a face.

The reaper immediately perked up once Freya consented, and happily threw herself into working once more.
Hel paused though, laughing loudly as Freya told her this first story. “Why do you think I started changing out of a window’s view?” The ghoul echoed, chuckling as she shook her head, and then laughed harder when she heard that Finnr’s papa didn’t even bother to stop theirs, and the image was made better when Freya held pillows to her cheeks. Hel giggled, piecing together the frame for the couch. “What else?” She questioned.

Freya started helping in earnest, if only because she realized she was going to run out of gossip to tell her sister before the only real news came about.
"Idun ran aways for a few days. She comes back when there was no foods left in her backpacks, hah. Papa had her cleanings the horse stalls for a week. She still stinks." Freya chuckled nervously, adjusting couch pillows and then readjusting them. This was hardly news - how many times had Idun ran away, already? She was clearly stalling.

Once again, Hel chuckled.
“Ah, that is nothing new!” She announced this thought out loud, pausing once more to look over at her sister. “Truly, that is all that is going on since I left home?” The younger valkyrie seemed to be picking up rather quickly that there was something up, as usually she could get Freya to chatter about each and every little thing. Right now? It was nearly like pulling teeth!

Freya re-adjusted the pillows for the fourth time, before finally dropping them, turning in place, and dropping herself on the couch. She clasped her hands on her knee, and stared at them. "Thor proposed." She murmured, quieter than usual. Of course, a moment later, she added the rest. "To Sif."
Freya looked up at her sister, and put on the best poker face she could possibly manage, considering the situation. "And she's accepted. The wedding is to be in two months."
The silence following her words was heavy.
