Intro
I realized that after many people have privately messaged me, or asked me off-site to help them connect to their roots via La Veccia Religione that it may have been time for me to finally put together a pathways thread. I realized that the path I have taken has been very hard, seeking out old books that may not be widely available. It has taken me 6 or 7 years to even get to where I am. If I can help people have a better idea where to start looking, I will know I have done some good.
Disclaimer
This is La Vecchia Religione as I practice it. Since stregoneria is a higly hereditary/family based path, it will be very different from one strega/stregone to another. What you find herein will have a Sicilian flavor, because my grandfather was from Palermo. Because of Sicily's long history of being invaded, you may find elements of Greek, Turkish, or even occasionally Roman influence

Aradia: Gospel of the Witches by Charles Godfrey Leland
Just about anything on this page (though it is all in Sicilian)
Italian Popular Tales by Thomas Frederick Crane (this has English translations of many works, including Pietri's work)
Traditional Books
Ecstasies: Deciphering the witch's sabbath by Carlo Ginsburg
Encyclopedia of Natural Magic by John Michael Greer (this is a decent herb manual for magical properties)
Complete guide to Herbal Medicines by Charles W Fetrow (Pharm D) and Juan R. Avila (Pharm D) (this has a lot of practical medicinal herb knowledge)
