Kalypso put one hoof in front of the other, looking around at the scenery. For once, she wasn't uneasy - or at least, she was less uneasy. Visuelle was somewhere behind her; close enough for comfort, but not too close. Somehow, she'd coerced him into traveling with her, away from his father's lands. Kalypso herself was struggling to stay away from the beach, but her path had subconsciously strayed toward it again. It was just on the other side of the trees that they were walking through, though the only way Kalypso could even remotely tell that was by the slight tang of salt in her nose and the faint screeching of sea-birds in the distance.
Annoyed with herself for leading them once again toward the place that she wanted to stay away from, Kalypso looked back toward Visuelle, hoping he was okay. The poor guy was a little clumsy - the first time they'd met, he'd gotten his antlers stuck in a tree branch. She'd realized as they were walking through this small strip of forest that wandering through the woods probably wasn't such a good idea... "Hey, Vis?" she called, hoping he was right behind her. Turning to look for him, Kalypso scanned the trees.

Visuelle was at it again. But he was not going to tell her that. Why she had decided on the woods was beyond him. She could fit through pretty well. He on the other hand.... Well, his travels were not going smoothly. His current predicament was the fact that he had stepped into an old rotted log, and heavens if it wasn't stuck to his foot. His normal reaction was going to be that he would attack the offending object, but there were tree branches. He refused to get stuck again.
He examined the branch, trying to step away again and almost losing his balance once more, and standing cross-legged. That did it. With a piercing shrill, he used his other hoof to try and beat at it, creating all sorts of a ruckus as he wen tto get himself free. He even went after it once with his antlers, trying to pry the tree apart; trying to get his hoof out. He managed it just as he heard Kaly call for him, and he raised his head proudly, with shoulders back and head held high... almost. It was down a bit to avoid the trees. "Coming," he called as he trotted forth, with log dust everywhere up his leg, and bark hanging from the tines of his antlers.

She was at it again, looking for something new to decorate her new cave with. How Croatoan put up with her... quirks was beyond her but it made him all the more precious to her. He was after all the best treasure she'd found yet. She held a small satchel in her mouth as she made her way carefully through the trees searching for anything glittering and unique. Her tail was steady and low, dragging the ground lightly behind her as she walked on. It was a bit of a change of scenery for her from the swamp she now shared as her domain with her mate but.. a change of scenery was needed every now and then to keep one from becoming too stir crazy.
