Mia walked down the corridor with her eyes closed, the chain of a pointed white pendent clasped in her hands. It swung in a circle till it stopped, defying gravity and pointing straight ahead, but slightly to the left. She walked following it until it took an abrupt turn left pointing at a door.
She gulped and opened her eyes. Apparently this dorm should be empty, she hoped. Without even opening the door, she walked straight through it, and stood in an empty room. She let out a sigh of relief, and took off the two bags strapped to her now aching shoulders, placing them nicely onto the window seat.
She opened the dusty shutters to look outside. She then smiled liking the view, before turning to open her bags to take out her belongings.
After a sharp intake of breath, She quickly ran to the door, half hanging through it, she placed a 'No Dorm Mates wanted' sign on the door handle. She then went back inside to sort her room.
