Aquene walked toward her locker and looked outside; she just didn't want to be inside the school anymore! The days were so long and tedious. At that point, she decided she'd eat outside today, where she could feel the chill of the slight breeze that seemed to be blowing today. She opened her locker, put her books in and pulled out her lunch: a small bento, made before class in her dorms' kitchen. She knew what was inside, and somehow wished she could eat something better. But hey, money was not easy to stumble on nowadays.
When she first opened the door and stepped outside, the brightness of the sun blinded her for just a little bit. Despite like being outside, her hatred of the sun was growing, little by little. It hurt to look at. It damaged her skin. Aquene couldn't wait for night to come.
She found a spot under a large tree. From the spot, she looked away from the school and looked at the surrounding area. As she opened her lunch box, her mind wandered away, looking at the forest where the Grave of Fairies trial was held. "Let me get there soon... I'm getting bored of this place..."

Lunchtime at Makai was one of Odette's favorite times of the day...and she loved to spend it outside.
Today, Odette was sitting up in the tree that Auquene had decided to sit under and blinked, looking down at the girl beneath her. Huh. She looked terribly bored with…well, everything. The brunette just watched, taking a bite of the banana she held in her hand, almost seeming to study the girl beneath her, wondering if she should attempt to make conversation, or if doing so…would be a bad idea.
Her gut was telling her it would be a bad idea, but…she never was really one to follow her gut.
The witchling finished up her banana then draped the peal on one of the smaller branches of the tree before sliding off of her perch, climbing down and jumping next to Aquene. “Well, hey there. You look pretty upset…or just grumpy. Is everything all right?”
There. Nice and easy, nothing too intrusive, just calm and a curious opening. It would work. She hoped, at least.

Aquene was a little startled when she heard someone's voice. She came outside for solitude, not company. When she looked up from the food on her lap she saw the girl. Just from the look of her, Aquene felt that the girl seemed too... Nice. She didn't even get the feel of a Majin, so Aquene lost interest pretty quickly.
She took her fork and cut off a little square of her spam and egg lunch. "Ugh... Cheap and salty. Wish I could have better food..." Aquene examined her food for a little while longer and took a bite. Half hoping the girl would go away, she ignored her. After a few seconds and not hearing rustling sounds of someone heading away, she spoke with her mouth a little bit of food.
"What do you want?" Aquene asked with little interest. She saw that the girl was holding a banana. "You some kind of monkey or something? You did kind of plop out of a tree."

Odette raised a brow and then gave a laugh. A monkey? No. Not quite a monkey. That would be fun though. To be a monkey…She looked back up at the tree.
“No, I’m not a monkey…maybe someday I’ll figure out how to be one though. Mind if I sit down and join you?” She grinned and sat down beside Aquene anyway and took another big bite of her banana. “What’s your name? I’m Odette. It’s nice to meet you. It’s a beautiful day isn’t it. Perfect to be outside…I think I might skip my next class and just hang out up in the tree.”
So, maybe too much information, though, she didn’t really care. It was good to have someone to talk to. It was comforting. People were always so comforting sometimes.
Sometimes. She figured this would be one of those times, but hey. She could be wrong, sometimes.

"Oh. My. God. This is definitely the first time I met someone that talked this much!" Aquene kind of wanted to be down right mean and tell her to go away, but then again, she was already a loner at the school and didn't have many people that were willing to talk to her, so she might as well play along.
Instead of facing away and rolling her eyes, she looked at the girl and smiled. She wasn't sure if it looked genuine or not, but hey, at least she was trying to be nice for once. "Ditching class... That sounds nice actually..."
She held out her hand to Odette before introducing herself. "Nice to meet you Odette. I'm Aquene. I would give you nicknames people call me, but only one that I can think of was someone who pronounced my name 'Ah-Queen.'"
Aquene looked out again at the surrounding area. She didn't look at Odette again, but wanting to go out. A small breeze blew, which pushed her over the edge. "Let's go somewhere fun. I don't want to be stuck here any longer." It wasn't like she was worried about her classes anyways. She just had to pass; she didn't really care about getting good grades.
