Polaris was cold.. but then.. when wasn't it? In her handful of visits to her star Sailor Polaris had never been graced with anything but cold and frequently falling snow from the mostly silent homeworld. White and silver and gray stretched as far as the eye could be seen... only occassionally being broken up by some splash of color.

She hadn't been back in awhile.. her interest simply perked by the discussion she had with some of the other girls and Pollux while they cooked for the civilians stuck in space. Maybe it wasn't the best time to be wasting her time in a confusing wasteland. Polaris had things she could be doing in the surrounding or in Destiny City. Heck... even Aurora had things she could or should be doing. For a moment she was genuinely pleased that she didn't actually have any pets... or things she had to worry about other then the occassional class and classwork.

So why was she just lingering here...? Maybe she was just hoping and waiting for something to happen. As if somehow she'd come up with the answers to the many questions that plagued everyone right now. How did they get the people home? What was going on with the zodiacs?

Sadly this was not the case.

When the room brightened with color and life it was nothing so signifigant. The middle aged woman that she'd seen so many times before was sitting in a chair not far from the one she was currently in, reading a familiar looking note with fondness in her eyes. It matched the one in her own hands.. slightly colored by the passage of time, creased strongly from being folded up time after time. It was silent... warm.. her soft smile forcing gentle wrinkles into the corners of her mouth. If Polaris had been close enough she might have noticed the soft sparkle of moisture in her eyes. But the peace and tranquility of the moment was quickly cut as a voice burst from nowhere.

"Madame Polaris, the supplies are ready."

The older Polaris' expression shifted quickly to surprise, fingers fevourishly attempting to refold and slide the paper away deep in the crevasis of some book near her. A book in a pile of books. They couldn't see. It was a... secret?

The living and breathing senshi of magnetism was left with the strange feeling even after the room darkened and she was left alone once more. Slowly she fumbled with her own note, unfolding it before she glanced over what amounted to not much more than chicken scratch. She could make out a word here or there.. but it didn't matter because she knew what it said.. what it meant.

Gloved fingers brushed over the delicate paper thinking of her own Niflhel for a moment.. a soft sigh escaping her. Puppy love you could call it.

She didn't dwell for too long on the thoughts, suddenly feeling a desire to simply go home. To maybe even call her boyfriend and find out how things were going for him. But it seemed her star was not done with her yet.

As boots echo'd through the large planetarium, her attention was grabbed by the sudden sound of voices, one younger and one older. The young face was vaguely familiar.. the older one was not. Like usual the younger face seemed slightly upset, bitting her lip to bite back some words as the older figure responded to her question.

"They may very well look like they're having fun. In fact I'm fairly certain that star is all about 'fun'. But fun does not feed you or clothe you... nor does it keep you safe when bad things happen."

"People do not always understand what is best for them in the long run. Sometimes it's up to someone else to show them. To force them. Life cannot just be about fun and playing."

The girl did not seem too pleased or convinced with the man's argument, leaning once more to peer into the telescope in front of her, looking off at a world unseen by the onlooking Polaris.

"Can't we just let other people live their own lives how they want to..?" Came a soft response finally when her eye left the large telescope.

"Not when their irresponsibility will cost themselves or others."

As quick as they were there the two and their conversation was gone, the cold wind whipping through the large hole in the wall of the room, and causing Polaris to shiver. The girl's look of uncertainty was left to linger on Polaris' face however.. but it was something she would have to think about later because with a bip of her cellphone she too was gone.
