Claudine walked steadily through the forest that would eventually either lead out into a open field or out into the darker depths of the forest where it was most probable for her to find the skinwalker she was searching for. It had been a long time since she had seen him last and everyday she held out hope that she would find him and join up with him. Oh how she hated other soquili of the land. They were idiotic creatures that simply had no purpose in life except to pop out babies and die. She wanted to be different and by joining up with him she would be. And she would make sure that others knew her name. Her excitement grew the further she walked, only stopping at the crossroads to make her final decision.
Should she venture out of the forest for a short while before continuing on and further prolonging her future? Deciding it was wise to take a break from walking since she wouldn't want to meet him tired and disgusting she ventured out of the woods into a open field filled with grass, wheat and fruit bearing trees. Her legs were somewhat sore from walking but she knew that resting in this exact spot would not be wise once it got dark. Quickly she walked a few more miles to a large oak tree. Beside it was a plum tree which she made sure to grab a few before laying back down under the oak tree. Finally, once she was relaxed she began to eat at a couple of the plums. Their sweet nectar tasted good and helped re-energize her. When was the last time she ate? Two or three days? Claudine shook her head. She needed to take better care of herself or else he would never accept her. A large sigh escaped from her muzzle grudgingly. Why can't he be simple to find? Claudine thought to herself as she rested her head up against the base of the tree.
