Name: Heth
Colour: Brown
Inspired by: Hematite
Personality: Heth...is just a little bit clingly for a brown. Thats not to say that he has to have his rider in his sights all the time but he certainly likes to know what he's doing and where he's going this likely stems from this dragons need for confirmation that everything is going well, has been done properly and that he can go ahead and relax a little bit. Thankfully once he's been assured that all is well Heth is pretty darn good at relaxing - this is a dragon who will sleep in the sun for hours without moving if his rider lets him. He might be called lazy from time to time though Heth dosen't mean to be such, he merely understands the value of down time and takes full advantage of it when he can. You never know when the herd is going to kick up some crap you have to deal with and Heth wants to be ready to dive right in and make things right when that happens.
Sadly he's not always the most decisive of dragons and so while he's more then willing to jump in and help out Heth is prone to questioning things...a lot, he simply lacks the confidence to make a decision and act on it without finding out if this is really truly the best course of action to take. That being said once this dragon has been convinced that this is the course they ought to take and his confidence has been reinforced by the assurences of his rider this dragon is fearless...completely and utterly fearless.
When theres no trouble about that requires fixing however Heth is a fairly sociable dragon, he likes others and he likes spending time with them, in fact he could probably be compared to that nosy neighbor who wants to strike up a chat when all you want to do is finish your chores. He really can't help it however Heth just likes to know whats going on with his friends - and Heth really dosen't meet someone whose not a friend even if he dosen't always understand that some subjects are ones people don't like talking about.
Why me?Kahar's confidence is exactly what Heth needs to feel secure in life, his keen eye for details will hopefully spot out any potential problems before they happen and that's a relief for Heth, who needs that sort of assurance when it comes to finishing up chores and projects, while Heth's tendency to question things and make doubly sure that this is really what they should be doing might help to temper Kahar's rash tendencies to jump in without thinking.
Both dragon and rider are the curious sort, and although Kahar's curiosity stems more towards the 'why are you like this' and Heth's more towards the 'how are you' type of thought pattern, both can appreciate the desire to be in the know even if neither of them really respect personal barriers. Kahar's ability to politely back off if asked, however, might help Heth understand that some subjects are sore spots and shouldn't be picked at - at least in public, I'm sure the two will have many private conversations about it later however!
When it comes to downtime both dragon and rider seem to have differing positions - while Heth enjoys the serenity of being still when there's nothing else to do, Kahar really can't stand it, the two will have to learn to come to a more healthy compromise together and hopefully keep each other from the extremes of their current preferences..it's good to sit still once in a while and rest both mind and body...just not all the time and those are lessons that each of them can teach the other.

InspirationHematite, also spelled as haematite, is the mineral form of iron(III) oxide (Fe2O3), one of several iron oxides. Hematite crystallizes in the rhombohedral system, and it has the same crystal structure as ilmenite and corundum. Hematite and ilmenite form a complete solid solution at temperatures above 950 °C.
Hematite is a mineral, colored black to steel or silver-gray, brown to reddish brown, or red. It is mined as the main ore of iron. Varieties include kidney ore, martite (pseudomorphs after magnetite), iron rose and specularite (specular hematite). While the forms of hematite vary, they all have a rust-red streak. Hematite is harder than pure iron, but much more brittle. Maghemite is a hematite- and magnetite-related oxide mineral.
Huge deposits of hematite are found in banded iron formations. Grey hematite is typically found in places where there has been standing water or mineral hot springs, such as those in Yellowstone National Park in the United States. The mineral can precipitate out of water and collect in layers at the bottom of a lake, spring, or other standing water. Hematite can also occur without water, however, usually as the result of volcanic activity.
In the world of Gemstone healing Hematite can often be found as the main ingredient of magnetic bracelets or rings and is said to improve relationships and intuition
