Corey yawned from behind the counter, rubbing his head a little. It wasn't really like him to not be chipper and bright when he was at work. Hell.. usually he was whistling when he opened the shop, and spent the whole day apparently high on life and sugar. But today was just a little ughh..
Too many nights in a row playing Bimini he supposed. Tonight he'd just have to go to bed early and make up all that sleep he was missing. But that was still a good 8 hours away or longer.
Pouring himself a soda from the fountain, he began to sip at it slowly, praying that years of caffine intake hadn't completely killed his tolerance and made the stuff inactive for him. He just needed to wake the heck up!

Feliks had just finished a round of a first person shooter game, it wasn't his normal taste in games but for some reason it had caught his eye and the magenta haired boy had decided to try it. No harm in that right?
So after he'd finished, well actually he'd lost because he hadn't expected the dude behind him. Feeling a little sour because of that turn of events Feliks decided he needed a soda. Heading over to the concessions he stopped to look at what all he wanted. Hm.... of course this was going to be a hard choice, Feliks looked to Corey and then to the list again. "What would you suggest?" He asked since it didn't really seem all that busy at the moment he could bother the wait staff right?

There was a flash of color that caught his eyes and attention, brilliant magenta against a fairly bright blue approaching, it was enough to make him focus a little more on the boy. Straightening, lowering her own drink, a friendly smile crossing the arcade owner's face.
"Mountain Dew seems to be one of the more popular choices. If you aren't wanted something carbonated though we've got Icees. Or water." He fingers hitched from machine to machine to cooler as he mentioned each drink.
It had taken him a few moments to actually notice the image and words on his shirt. As a 26 year old man it probably would have been better to keep his own viewing of "My Little Pony" as a deep and dark secret. But then.. Corey had no real shame.. and he too had been sweeped up in the most common internet sensation.
A grin crossed his face, leaning forward to rest his weight against one elbow, chin in his hand. "Pinkie Pie fan?" He teased playfully, pointing with his free hand at the boy's bright pink and wavy mop of hair. Really it was similiar enough that it was possible he was HARD CORE enough a brony to dye it that way.

Feliks seemed to ponder, an icee sounded pretty good, "What flavors of icee?" He was glancing at the machine but sometimes the labels weren't always correct. He'd had that happen a few times so instead of assuming he asked.
"Got any sweets hiding back there?" He added while he was thinking about it.
"Huh? Oh no more like Applejacks or Rainbowdash. Pinkie Pie's too spastic for me. Granted I only watch it 'cause of my sister. She's hooked on ponies." He thought it was worse than those old Hooked on Phonics things that the TV use to show commercials for, even if it was helpful to people. "Not to mention AJ and RD are completely more active of the ponies, always willing to race or compete against each other."
He lofted, "What about you? You look like a Rarity fan if you ask me."

"White cherry, blue raspberry, Coca Cola" He spouted out the information in response to the question, a well rehearsed and easily remembered thing after all the years. Really he could probably rattle off the entire menu along with with prices for each if he was ever prompted.
"Sweet wise we have candy bars." He stepped aside lightly, so the rack of various bars could be better seen, taking a sip of his soda as he allowed the boy to look and make his choice.
At the question he paused and thought, looking far more serious they he should have for such a silly question. "They're all pretty cool for different reasons. But Applejack is probably my fav. Gotta love a girl with a good work ethic." He mused. His grin perhaps a little larger then it should have been, wondering a little if he 'only' watched it because of said sister.
"Rarity would probably flip out if she saw the junk I tend to wear. Not that I wouldn't mind having my own walking closet or seamstress."

"Can you do white cherry mixed with cola? Anndd...." He paused looking at the candy racks, "Peanut butter M&M's." He nodded, that should do for a snack!
He was listening, "Mm, yeah a good work ethic is always a good thing. Though she shouldn't've been so stubborn to try to work that apple grove all by herself that one time." He mused.
There was a chuckle, "Rarity would flip out if she saw the junk most anyone tends to wear I think." He paused and shook his head, "She'd probably go around trying to fix everyone's wardrobe to be 'simply fabulous darling'" Feliks shook his head, "Though a seamstress would be nice, my mother would probably kill me for saying that though." He chuckled slightly as if he expected her to be behind him for a second.

"I can do that" He confirmed with a grand nod, turning to grab a cup and set to work at mixing, fiddling with the levers as the frozen drink began to pour out. "Half and half, or coke cherry coke cherry?"
As he listened to the boy he nodded softly to the things he was saying, and he couldn't help but laugh a little when he quoted Rarity. It wasn't AT Feliks so much as at the idea of a boy saying those particular words. Or someone who only 'kind of watched' them being able to quote things that directly and point out scenes.
"Yeah I'm always one that thinks the more hands helping the merrier. She is awfully proud though... Ha.. true enough. I doubt anyone would be fashionable enough to impress Rarity."
"Except maybe our version of Sapphire Shores"
Drink finished to Feliks' specifications Corey turned around, sliding both the drink and the bag of candy across the counter and towards him with an amused smile. It seemed he was actually perking up and waking up after all. "That'll be $3.25"

Feliks grinned, "Coke, cherry, coke, cherry sounds like it'd work well." He nodded, as he watched the other speak and slide him the candy and drink. He placed the money on the counter and sat there snacking on his loot.
"I know, my sisters seem to think Rarity is stuck up. Wait who's our Sapphire Shores?" He paused looking curiously, maybe he was a little deprived of certain aspects. The only person he could think of was that Lady Gaga woman with all her weird outfits. But even then Rairty probably would scoff at such outlandish outfits.
"My youngest sister loves Pinkie Pie. I swear if she wasn't seven and could buy things without mom and dad around she'd have pinkie pie everywhere."

Though he'd offered the words himself he hadn't really thought through who exactly WAS the real life equivilant of Sapphire Shores. So when the question sounded he paused thoughtfully, resting his elbows on the counter as he tapped his cheek with a finger.
"I don't know really.." He relented finally, motioning to his own old and quite unfashionable duds. "I'm not big on clothing but I imagine there is some starlet or fashionista out there that was the inspiration for her. I know Photo Finish was based off of an actual fashion designer."
Grinning a bit at the mention of his little sister, Corey mused. "I can't say I'm a big fan of pink, but I could imagine having a good time with the constant party theme. Hard to get tired of balloons and confetti and sweet treats."

Feliks listed, nodding slightly. "Yeah, maybe it was that Lady Gaga chick you see running around." He thought she'd started a trend with that hair bow thing his sister always wanted to try to do to her hair.
"It's interesting to think that they could be based off real people. Though I guess if you're going to give them jobs you kind of have to know the ins and outs of it."
He nodded softly, "Yeah, too much pink gets a little out of the way sometimes. Though maybe I could convince her to do the party theme. I've seen cupcake pillows and other neat treats that've been turned into accessories. She'd probably have more fun with that than just pink everywhere. Specially if she's still into tea parties." Feliks tried not to pay attention that or get away from it quickly when his sister started talking about having a 'tea party'. He always ended up with Mr. Tiddlesworth as a tea partner when he let himself be talked into playing.
"Her kicked puppy eyes can really be killer...." He said with a shake of the head and a sigh.

He actually was semi decent at it himself back in highschool. It was perhaps the major reason why he'd managed second base with Elizabeth Car after one of the homecoming dances.
Ah the joys of youth.
The two conversed for awhile about the show and wherever else the conversation eventually wandered. Funny how something as silly as a children's character could bond two people. Maybe it was just that they were both talkers by nature. Or maybe, just maybe, there was a little bit of 'friendship magic' at work in that arcade that day.
