Crisp, cool. The temperature was still doing it's usual up and downs as summer and fall fought for domainace, but it seemed that the fall had won on this particular night. The sun gone the temperatures were free to dip into what most deemed 'jacket weather', but the night was otherwise clear, the air surprisingly clear and fresh despite the lack of breeze.
Dahlia had a coat of her own already, but nonetheless she curled up mildly as she watched and waited, her tail wrapping around her paws. What would happen tonight? Would Hygiea make another appearance? Would some youma reek some havoc, or maybe a senshi instead?
Dual colored eyes turned lazily up towards the sky, trying to make out stars amid the leaves of trees and the light pollution of the city.

It was chilly out tonight. Far too chilly to be running around in a stupid senshi fuku that had no sleeves and left her with bare shoulders. Albireo shivered as she walked through the city. After a little while, she paused, then frowned, seeing a white puff ball laying on a piece of playground equipment. It was a cat…and a fluffy one at that.
She hesitated, walking slowly over, hesitating only when she felt that this cat had a darker energy signature than was normal for cats…Were energy signatures ever normal for cats? Albireo moved a bit closer, noticing the black star on the animal’s forehead, swallowing. Was this a guardian cat? Like Chloe? But…why…did it feel so…much darker than Chloe?
“Excuse me…? Can you talk, kitty?”
Good thing nobody was around. She felt somewhat foolish talking to a cat…

She felt the aura of the girl just seconds before her voice sounded, Dahlia unwrapping her tail and pushing herself up into a seated position as she was addressed. A white moon senshi, low level. Should she be being cautious? The tone and words didn't really set off any alarm bells.
"I can." She responded after a few seconds, before teasing the senshi softly, tail swaying playfully along with the tone of her voice. "You don't go asking every cat you meet that do you? Mauvians are actually a fairly rare race."
Despite the darker aura, she would seem harmless enough, unagressive. She was more curious about why a senshi would be talking to her, unless she really WAS that green as to not know about negaverse cats.

Aha! The cat did talk. “Hello there. No…I don’t go asking every cat that I meet if they can talk…Just the pretty ones with stars on their foreheads…” She moved closer, seeming curious. “What’s your name, Miss Kitty?” Her hand moved to the cat, hesitating above her head for a moment, before reaching down, gently scratching behind her ears.
“I’m Sailor Albireo.” Was it a good idea to tell this cat this? Her energy signature seemed off…And Albireo couldn’t…figure out why. “Miss Kitty…why does your aura seem so much darker then Chloe’s was? That’s not…normal is it?” Well, great job with subtlety, Albireo. Great job.

The softest hint of a laugh sounded at the answer she received, but it wasn't particularly unkind, more amused with the response and situation then anything else. And she offered her name without a fight, sliding upward from her previously lounging position. "Dahlia..." She purred pleasantly as fingers reached to scratch lightly behind her ears, leaning a little into the affection.
Dahlia was surprised that the girl was uncertain enough about whether or not she was a guardian, but was still able to notice and question the difference in her aura. For a moment she strongly debated lying.. trickery. But maybe that wouldn't even be necessary.. maybe a little logic would suffice?
"That's a very astute observation Albireo." She complimented lightly. "It's different because we lie on different sides. Chloe is a guardian still blinded by the lies of the moon kingdom. I however am a guardian enlightened to the truth."
Her words could have been taken as a warning sign, and she wouldn't have been entirely surprised if the girl quickly pulled her hand back. Her body posture was entirely unaggressive though, and she hoped that wouldn't be the case.

The senshi gave a small little nod, though continued scratching behind the cat’s ears, releasing a soft sigh. “Enlightened, hm? Well…if you say so.” She shrugged, sitting beside the creature and looking up into the night sky. “Well, Miss Dahlia…what is the truth then? What was so…truthful that you became…Enlightened, hm?”
Part of her was curious, she hadn’t really had a chance to talk to a guardian cat since Chloe awakened her…and even if this one was…’Enlightened’…maybe…she could give her some advice with things?
Of course, the term enlightened didn’t mean much to Albireo, she wasn’t smart enough…or was just gullible enough to really thing that Dahlia had come into some sort of understanding—some sort of better understanding of how the world worked or something. The thought that she was truly an evil cat never crossed her mind. She wasn’t bad…she hadn’t attacked. The bad guys always attacked and tried to hurt Albireo…this cat…was just smarter. Enlightened. No corruption at all.
“May I put you in my lap? I’ll be able to pet you better, Miss Dahlia.”

No sudden revoltion. No quickly spouted arguement that she was wrong. Granted the senshi did sound a bit skeptical.
"I would like that, yes." She answered with a nod and a shifting of her body, a soft purr escaping her as she waited to be picked up and placed. Once she was placed, she settled in, kneading the senshi's nap clawlessly before settling down comfortably.
As to the question, well that she answered matter of factly. "There are certain things that happened in the past.. and things that are happening now. Appearances that are deceiving, so to say."
"Many can't grasp the truth because they've come to accept the lies. They see the negaverse as enemies.. bad even. But all they are doing is trying to protect their planet.. keep it from being taken over and from them."

She nodded, giving a sigh. “Yes…so I’ve heard. Zinkenite was telling me about things like that…” The senshi began to stroke the cat gently, seeming pleased with how soft her fur was. “Well…Most I’ve met from the Negaverse are…aren’t very kind, but…I guess they have a reason to be. I can try to understand, I really can…It’s just difficult.”
She just shook her head, then leaned against the cold metal bar that she was sitting in front of. “Why did you decide to lend your support to…the Negaverse? May I ask your reasoning? If you don’t want to tell me, you don’t have to. I’d understand.”
Things were still bothering her, that much was clear. She seemed very relaxed around the cat, despite the small nagging feeling in the back of her mind that she shouldn’t be spouting such talk around someone that was supposed to be the enemy.

Zinkenite huh? Dahlia knew him well, and wasn't too surprised that he would also choose to try and use noncombative techniques. In fact she was pleased to hear he was trying to recruit senshi at all.. Especially after their little at the last meeting.
Her tail swished happily with each stroking of her back, tilting her head to look back at the girl as she spoke. "I know it seems that way, but you have to keep in mind what they are up against. The senshi have the upper hand both in numbers and powerful magic. Put against that with weapons that aren't always worth anything it's usually in their best effort to attack first and attack aggressively."
"No one wants to die or be hurt. We are all just fighting for what they think is right, but only one side truely is right..."
Her ears twitched softly at the question, flicking once thoughtfully before she tried to answer. "Like I said, I was once blinded by the lies of the moon queen. When I was able to finally see the truth of it all I had no choice but to join with the rightful protectors of earth."
After a moment a paw reached up tentatively, before battling playfully at the thin ribbon of the senshi's chest bow, another purr rattling through her small body. "Your fuku is beautiful, one of the loveliest I've seen. Delicate, dainty, a beautiful little ballerina."
"I'm a dancer too actually."

Albireo nodded thoughtfully, letting out a sigh. “Yes, I can understand…I guess…I just don’t see how I can be that much of a threat that they can be so…violent. I guess…they just really want to protect the earth…which is good…I don’t want anything to happen to the earth either…I live here..” She let out a little laugh then shook her head.
“My fuku…keeps making everyone think that I know how to dance, Miss Dahlia. I’m not a dancer at all, I can hardly sway in time to music! But…I’m thinking of going and taking some ballet lessons…just so I can tell people that I dance…and maybe my fuku would make a bit more sense? I’m very glad you like it though.”
She was quiet for a moment, then just smiled. “What kind of dancing do you do? I bet it’s beautiful, just like you are.”

The guardian appreciated how well the girl listened, even relented some to her opinion. She was wonderfully open and willing, which was a rare treat. Most senshi would fight Dahlia's idea vehemetly.. and yet here Albireo was, listening... offering words of understanding. Dahlia had truly chosen the right tactic this time.
"Some senshi can do dangerous things. Set things on fire... impale people.. drown you. And I've heard of teams and singular senshi that have done some terrible things. Better safe then sorry."
"I understand your frusteration though.. and confusion too." Rubbing her cheek affectionately against the girl's hand, she mused softly. "Sometimes it takes a little while to see the light. Maybe one day I'll be able to help you see it too. I would like that quite a bit."
Dual colored eyes narrowed a little as the girl laughed and shared her little secret, and after a moment Dahlia couldn't help but laugh a little too. "How very strange. Perhaps I can help you learn to dance too. It's not very hard, all about feeling the music."
She, perhaps even more then the average person, loved compliments, and so Dahlia seemed to preen as once again she was offered more kind and praising words. "I can dance in many ways.. but raqs sharqi is my specialty. Belly dancing" She added after a moment in explaination.
"It's a little dangerous for me to transform here without protection.. the aura of my human like form would attract enemies like flies to honey. But perhaps I can show you someday."

Albireo laughed softly, listening to Dahlia tell of her of the things some senshi could do. “Well, Miss Dahlia. I do the most dangerous thing of all. I honk. Loudly. How lame is that? The most dangerous thing I think I have is my shoes…and even then, I have to kick the person hard. Why do some senshi get awesome powers…and others…don’t. “
She smiled when Dahlia mentioned showing her how to dance. “Oh, oh that would be a lot of fun, I think! I would like that very much…and yes, I would love to see…wait. You have a human like form? Cats can change into humans?”
It was the first she had heard of such a thing, and the thought confused her. There seemed to be a lot she didn’t know…and it seemed she was learning more from the people of the negaverse then she did from the ones that were supposed to be on her side, aiding her. Who would have thought.
“Well…I’m sure…your human form is as beautiful as your cat form. And, I would be honored to see it.”
Her mind jumped back then to something she hadn’t really reacted to. Dahlia helping her to see the light. Huh. Was she really on the wrong side? She would really have to figure out what the senshi were fighting for…She wanted very much to see her Home World…then talk to Zinkenite once again…though really hoped to prove the male wrong this time. To tell him that her Home World was not in ruins like he said. Albireo was frowning as all of these thoughts raced through her head and she gave a little sigh. “If you do help me see the light, I want dance lessons from you. Lots of them.”

Albireo received a sympathetic look to his question and response and another soft rubbing of her cheek against the senshi. Honking loudly... it didn't sound like a very wonderful 'attack' to have. "It always seems like some get the better deal and others get sunk with powers that are less than helpful. It's hardly fair at all. But you see.. senshi were always meant to work together and in teams.. offensive and defensive powers working together. We are better together then any of us could ever be apart."
It was perhaps... a tip she shouldn't have been giving the enemy. But Dahlia was fond of the senshi, and this one in particular... well she couldn't help but hope that she could eventually turn her one day. Honking might be a hard power to sell to those strong enough to exert the energy to turn her.. but Dahlia did have a tongue on her and a talent for persausion.
"Mauvians indeed have two forms. The cat like one you've seen is the most common form. However we do have one that looks much like you humans do.. only with ears and a tail. The power required to take the form though is high, which is why we give off such a strong signal."
Another soft purr rumbled through her as the sweet words continued, nodding in a strong and swift motion as the girl sighed. "It's absolutely a promise. I can give you all the lessons you'd like from the safety of our homebase."

Senshi working together, hm? Maybe she should invest her time into finding a team to work with…maybe then she wouldn’t be kicked around so often…though…who would really want her in their team anyway? She was all but useless…save for when she got a chance to kick people…but how often would that chance really come around?
Cats turning into people…people with ears and a tail. Huh. That she had to see someday. At the promise of dancing lessons, Albireo brightened some then laughed, nodding. “That sounds wonderful…It really does. It was a real treat to meet you, Dahlia…I hope I can see you again in the future. I’ll have more questions…that I’m sure nobody else would bother to answer for me…”
Not that she had ever asked questions of any senshi’s…just Pomona that one time that the girl had saved her when she was still a civilian…though, the only answers she got was that the senshi’s weren’t the terrorists and they were here to protect the innocent and all that. Well. Whatever.
The girl stood up, cradling the cat in her arms now, giving her a gentle squeeze then placing her back where she had found her on the playground equipment. “I think I’d better be off now…It is a school night after all, and It’s getting almost too chilly for comfort…I may have a pretty fuku, but It’s not a warm one by a longshot.”

((Polaris would love to have her! biggrin *bricked* XD ))
"I will answer any question you like Albireo." She answered with a soft kitty smile, it was genuine, though of course.. whether the answers would always be the truth.. only time would tell. "I spend most of my time wandering about Destiny City, so I shouldn't be too hard to find if you need me."
She was carefully placed back down, and Dahlia didn't fight it, though she continued to stand as she was placed, her tail swaying behind her. "It was a pleasure meeting you, sleep well."
"I'll see you soon, senshi of swans." It was a hope, a promise. Hopefully one day she'd even be able to deliver on it.
