Hated Food: Fast food – BLECH! Gunther shuns chain stores such as Mc-Donalds…KFC. Not because of some humanitarian stuff (though he does disapprove), but more because he can’t stand the horrible, oily, sickly smell, and the disgusting taste.

Sports – Mainly Basketball
Gunther has the pretty much perfect shape for basketball, and his practice has paid off so he has the skill too. He’s a head taller than almost everyone else with long, lanky arms. He’s not a beanpole, however – he’s definitely got some muscles, and he’s perfectly happy to show them off, too. He’s a sporty kind of guy – whilst Basketball is his favourite, he’s perfectly happy to do other things too – if he’s practicing basketball on the courts and a bunch of girls come in wanting to play badminton, he’ll probably move out the way and then try to charm his way into playing. He likes sports, and doesn’t really care if they’re labelled girly or not. Unfortunately, this does have the side effect of making him a very physical person - which is all well and good for when he's hugging people or smoothing their hair...but you know..NOT so good in the fact he's pretty quick to PUNCH people too...

Animal Care
It’s not that he doesn’t like basketball…he just doesn’t dream about it. It’s a fun hobby, not what he wants to do. What he wants to do is be a vet- only….his grades? Not stellar. So he’s settling for being some kind of animal trainer or something. Gunther is good with animals – he likes them, they like him. He volunteers at the animal shelter on the nights he’s not practicing basketball or working, and works weekends at the horse-riding place just out the city.

Working

As Gunther pretty much supports himself, the majority of his non-school time is spent working. Where? As a lifeguard at the pool. His easy personality and attractive physique make the pool pull in female customers, and he’s good with kids so that’s another plus for his job. This is where his first-aid training comes from. He does enjoy it, especially when he runs kids activities. It's something he really values - not just because it's well paid, but because he gets to help people routinely, from struggling swimmers to people afraid of the water. Of course, the fact he gets to flirt outrageously with all the pretty, giggling girls and ocasionally a buff guy reccommends the job too! And that's not mentioning the fact that he gets to show off...a few flexes of these guns (badpunplz) and he'll be writing numbers on people's hands all over the place.

Virtues:

Steamroller

Gunther has drive. If he wants something, he doesn’t sit around on his backside waiting for it to be handed to him, he doesn't listen to people saying no - he goes out there and gets it! A new couch? Right! I’ll take an extra shift on lifeguarding and do the mucking out at the stables! A new friend? Right! I’ll be the nicest I can be!I heard they like books – bet I can get some cheap at a charity shop. A fling? Right~! I’m going out tonight! Where did that nice aftershave go…He doesn’t shirk from work, and if something benefits him or his goals, he’ll do it. This also means he’s not put off by challenges – if somebody says no, then by hell, he’s going to double his efforts to prove them wrong.

If somebody punches him in the face? He doesn’t care if they’re bigger than him (which…would be difficult, actually.), he’ll damn well get them back!

Affectionate

Gunther loves you. If he sees somebody upset on the street, be it a six-year old, a sixteen year old or a sixty-seven year old, he will stop and help. Whether it’s comforting a sobbing highschooler over coffee about her breakup, helping a pensioner find the right store or sticking a plaster on a boo-boo and kissing it better, Gunther is happy to do it, because everybody deserves affection. This also means he is not put off by you shunning him. He’ll just keep trying, because deep down (sometimes…really deep), you love him too.

He also flirts with anything that’s humanoid and moves, is older than sixteen and younger than 28. Gender? Colour? Self-confidence? Married? Eh, Gunther doesn’t care. He doesn’t usually mean anything by it, he just likes making people feel good and complimenting them.

Water off a Ducks Back

Thrice-damned son of a Hispanic devil? Huh…that was quite a good one. I’m Mexican though, not Hispanic. And maybe if you included a reference to me rather than my parents? I mean, I know they sucked.

Gunther really doesn’t give a s**t about what you say about him. It’s just words, after all, and it’s probably just because you’re upset and need some help – he can do that for you. He doesn’t bottle it, he just honestly doesn’t care. He’s used to people spouting insults at him, he grew up with it! And he’s learned that it doesn’t matter about words, it matters about actions.

Considerate

Gunther knows when to be serious. He mucks about most of the time, laughing and making others laugh – but when he’s at work he’s well behaved and the perfect employee – he pays his rent on time every month, and if his finances are getting low he’ll blow off social arrangements to work more, often with an easy grin and an apology.

This also applies (only to some extent) to social situations. When a girl is starting to take his flirting as romantic interest instead of a compliment, he’ll back off. If a guy makes faces at his flirting, Gunther will laugh, and then slyly interrogate them about if they’re a homophobe. If you’re hurt – really hurt, he’ll stop laughing and work to patch up before making you feel better emotionally.

Why? Because Gunther likes you, and he wants to make your life better, and fun and games and flirting and mucking about are fun - but if it's hurting you it isn't fun anymore.


Flaws:

Stubborn

Gunther doesn't like to be told no, and this manifests in a stubborn streak a mile long. He'll wheedle and whine and persuade and worst come to wort just barrel on through regardless. Combined with his somehwat reckless nature, you can see why people get frustrated with him ; telling Gunther no is a sure-fire way to get him to try it anyway. It also makes him get stuck on tasks for a long time as he won't give up on things - which is fine if a task is doable, but if it isn't that's a problem.


Overconfident

Gunther believes in himself! Which means he doesn’t listen to anybody telling him he can’t do it….even if, you know, he really can’t. Huh? Nah, nobody’s polevaulted that wall because they’re just not driven enough! – Broken arm. Huh? Naw, I bet he just needs some love that horse. –Broken leg. Aww, come on, I bet I can turn that wheelie! –Stitches. You don’t do that and get away with it! – Three days in hospital and a lasting scar on his face.

Gunther’s stunts very often land him in hospital, because he honestly doesn’t know what’s beyond his limits. This also applies in social situations, especially concerning people and their opinion of him. Naw, they don't mean that - they like me really. Haha I can do that! Gunther can often come across as too eager to show off (which he is.), and whilst this rarely crosses the line into arrogance, it can swiftly get very annoying. Along the same vein, he can't quite comprehend the notion of someone actively disliking him - at least truly. Annoyed at him, sure, but deep down they like him, they have to.

Useless Words

Gunther doesn't really think much about words - it's all about actions. But this can have some very negative connotations, particularly in the fact he's very physical. Whilst he's quick to hug and smooth your hair, help you cross the street or boost you up to reach that candy you want on the top shelf - he's also equally as quick to punch your in your face or kick you in the shins. This particularly applies if you hit him first - you can say all the nice things in the world but if you hit him or trash his locker or egg his house at halloween, he's going to enact revenge in a similiar (And often all too physical) way.

Left in the Dust

Ask anybody about Gunther (well, almost anybody) and they'll know who you mean. Ask anybody for details....well, that's a little more tricky. Gunther loves EVERYBODY - but he doesn't love anybody more than someone else. This makes him a difficult guy to pin down and form close relationships with, as he's always so busy and on the move making new friends and doing new things that there's never any time to slow down and just be friends. Perhaps this is a side-effect of Gunther's exuberant personality, or perhaps it's because he's insecure. *cough*he'sinsecureaboutrelationships*cough*

This particularly applies if you try to get him on his own. He'll go to the movies with a bunch of you, sure. He'll come out to your party, sure. But a meal for two? No way! A solo movie? Nu-uh! Gunther doesn't like to be restricted by anything except himself, so close relationships freak him out.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Eyes: Large, bright red.

Hair: Dark red, spiky on the top, pulled back into a ponytail with a few bangs. Actually….
Reno's kinda hair makes a really good reference, but Gunther should have longer hair than him and slightly darker. If possible, I’d also like Gunther’s to curl a little bit. Kind of shaggily.
Uhh…this noodle [Permission obtained from owner to use as a reference] is a good example of what I mean by curl.

Skin: Gunther has deep brown skin.

It’s probably got scatterings of accidental scars over it too – he’s broken most of his bones at least once, and he’s got in some serious fights.

Tattoos: Gunther has a tattoo on his hipbone of a white animal pawprint, and on the back of his right hand he has the traditional red medical cross.
Face: Manlyish? xD;;; Whatever you feel fits him. He’s supposed to be kind of attractive. He also has a scar on his right cheek, where he was slashed with a knife.
Clothes: Gunther is proud of his body, and likes to show it off at every time possible. In summer, he’s probably wearing a too-small shirt that rides up every three second, if he’s wearing one at all. In colder months, he’s often found in tight clothes. He also likes piercings. A lot. He has two eyebrow piercings (on the same eyebrow), snakebites, and a multitude of ear piercings, though his current favourite is to wear crossing scaffolding and then a buttload of silver rings in his ear.

It depends on the situation, somewhat - he's not going to hit a kid or an old person, and it depends on how they did it, you know? If they're slapping him or doing it whilst sobbing, then he won't. If they turn round and proper whack him in the face he will.

Hmmm...Probably not. He's okay with that sort of thing. It's more the 'big', organised religions with loads of rules and intolerance he doesn't like. (That's his opinion. ;n; I like religious people unless they're bigots.) And no, he doesn't. Not outrightly, anyway. If you're wearing a cross necklace or a turban he'll probly avoid you to begin with. And if you keep being busy on a Sunday....well, he's going to twig pretty quick.

A) I think this idea is pretty kick-a**! I had to goggle surgery to see if it would work, but wiki tells me if does date back to medieval times, so yay! It's an interesting approach to a 'healing' type sphere, but the way you've worked it seems different enough to me you don't need to worry too much about over lap with the first two attacks. Eternal attack is pretty similar to other healing powers, but I think it's hard to avoid that with the nature of the those spheres, so it's probably fine.

B) you might want to tweak your durations. Most first level attacks don't last for a minute. Usually, if they have a status effect, it's somewhere between 15-30 seconds. Battles are usually pretty fast, or they are a one-off kind of deal. Same with super levels, it's a little long. I suggest cutting out the time-frame of the glow, leave it ambiguous/until impact type thing, and keep the duration of the pain/healing about 30seconds and 45 or a minute at super?

C) Eternal attack is pretty strong, and I'm just a little iffy on if it should have a time-cap or a number of uses (4 bone deep seems a bit much to me?), though there are a few senshi with very strong/long time limit powers. So it's definitely not impossible. You might want to ask a gm about it though/ wait to see what they say during crits. And personally, I think 'I'll suture you' is a bit funny of a power-phrase, but that's totally your call. I just think having the word 'I'll' is odd in a power name. Maybe try a few medical terms and play around with it? (I like succor sutures ?).

And I haven't read through the whole thing yet, but you might want to explain more about why Gunther likes his job as a lifeguard. What attracted him to the position, how'd get into it, how often does he work. That's the only thing that really stood out to me so far as needing a bit more info.

ON THE CIVILIAN SIDE

For the Overconfident flaw, are there other ways that he is over confident other than in what he can do with his body and performing stunts? Does he have a large ego in social situations as well? Is he arrogant?

For the Anti-Religious flaw, as this is a very strong flaw and one that in other ways can contradict the rest of his personality, please provide some motivation as to why he loathes religion and those who follow region with such severity. Why is he so affectionate to everyone except for religious people? His Water off a Duck's Back virtue paints him as someone who is difficult to offend, what is his issue with religion?

The Left in the Dust flaw could use some elaboration. It says that Gunther is insecure, but what is he insecure about? It seems to contradict other parts of his personality that portray him as a sociable and affectionate guy - although he certainly can still be insecure with all these traits, his insecurity would need elaboration to explain this. Also consider how this flaw may be externalized so that others may notice it!

I noticed a few times in the profile you mention him being a bit physical or violent. I think you can and should create a flaw out of this to help elaborate, as it is brought up several times throughout the form!

For the appearance, maybe put a NSFW warning on the reference for the skintone. While it isn't completely NSFW, it was pretty surprising and could use a warning!

FOR THE POWERED SIDE

I think you may run into issue with the sphere of Surgery.

Surgery is defined as:


As surgery is concerned primarily with treating injury, it isn't a sphere that would very logically be an offensive sphere. Furthermore, as surgery requires tools, any Surgery sphere powers should consider that!

Also, you cannot switch between being an offensive Senshi to a healing Senshi or vice-versa!

I think that a suturing power would work as a base level power (that is, one that can heal surface/bleeding wounds to any ally and leave behind magical stitches that last until they power down) may work, but it is unlikely that an ally would find use of these powers in the middle of battle.

I might suggest looking into other options for spheres, or finding a way for the Surgery sphere to work taking into consideration the definition of surgery.

Also, I'm not entirely seeing the connection between his attacks and Temperance. They're mostly about "restraint" - I'm not sure how slowing someone down and forcing them to move more smoothly is necessarily temperant? I'm just not quite feeling the connection, to be honest, so I'd like sort of an explanation/more direct connection!
