 Nova raced down the forest path. Nova doubted he would receive much self time but for now he would the peace and serenity that being alone afforded him. It seemed like all his adopted sisters were having their own families and truthfully he was happy for them. Well..Nova admitted to himself that he was just a bit jealous. It was a bit unnerving to see his younger sisters adapt to family life. Nova honestly enjoyed babysitting even if the kits liked beating up uncle Nova. Nova couldn’t become so jealous; it wasn’t like his adopted brothers had much of a family life. Perhaps this time away from the group was just what he needed. Nova lifted his nose at smelled the damp woodland. Earthy tones rushed into his nose and he breathed the fresh air. Nova glanced at the redwoods, how old were they to have grown that tall. He sat down and pondered, perhaps he should bring his canvas and paints next time.

Candie nosed the bowl lightly before carefully covering it up with leaves. After she was sure it was concealed, she turned to head on her walk through the forest. It was nice having another bowl to take care of, ever since her first batch of kids grew, especially Wrigley who claims to be all grown up despite still acting much like a kit. Having this bowl, even though it wasn't her own, was a welcomed relief. Slowly, she trotted through the trees, enjoying their splendor as she gazed up into the canopies.

Nova gazed at the sky in wonder. Beyond the reaching redwoods loomed the darkening sky. Light filtered softly through gaps in the clouds. Nova gazed in wonder at the beauty of the sky. He sighed softly in regret as he remembered his missing tools. Nova paws itched to paint the skyline in all its glory.

She gazed up to the sky when she noticed that it was starting to darken through the leaves. "Hmm... I'll have to find a place to rest for the night soon." She mused to herself lightly. But for now, she was just going to enjoy the nature around her a bit longer. With a soft hum, she pressed forward through the trees, watching the smaller wildlife make their way back to their homes for the night while the creatures of the night began to stir.

The sky filled with bright colors that streaked across the sky. Nova was so captivated by the beauty of the sky. His fur ruffled as the wind picked up causing him to shiver a bit. Nova knew that when the sun started to go down the temperature would soon cool down.
"Perhaps I should find a little bit of shelter to spend a few minutes before I journey home. I few minutes out of the cold would be a small blessing," Nova mused outload.

She ventured further into the forest, choosing to ignore the setting sun for a bit longer. The small fox was getting too much enjoyment from the scenery and from watching the other animals go about their daily tasks. It was as the temperature dropped that she became more serious on finding a cave or a nook in a tree trunk to settle in.
So pressing onward, Candie looked for something suitable. Soon, the sound of a voice caused her ears to perk. She looked around, but didn't see anyone just yet. Tilting her head, she called out, a bit cautiously, "Hello. Is someone there?"

Though the wind was picking up but Nova keen hearing still could hear the gentle lit of a female voice. Nova turned around expecting to see one of the females of group. Perhaps they tracked him down to babysit one of the kits but then Nova remembered his group mates were mourning over their recent inability to have kits with their mate. Nova turned around in surprise and spotted the blue and purple tiger striped female. “Hello to you too. Would you happen to know were a boy could find some shelter?”

Seeing the male approaching her, she smiled lightly at him as he greeted her, bowing her head in response. At his question about shelter, she tilted her head in thought, trying to remember if there was such a place. She looked around briefly, getting her bearings on her location. "There is a hollow tree trunk not too far from here. Follow me." She offered, turning in the direction to lead the way.
