It was a little more than confusing to the Marrowstripe that, on this random and not very special day, her stomach happened to growl. A slender hand was placed atop her belly, wide eyes peering down at the spot as though she'd never heard such a sound before. She had, of course, but it was very possible and very likely that she'd forgotten the sound of a growl since it didn't happen that often. In fact it would have been nearly impossible for her to remember the last time she'd been hungry, it had to have been long before she came to the school, and Savior tilted her head to the side. A thin exhale issued from her mouth, echoing in her mask and causing a noise that was more like a guttural call then a simple sigh.
Even if Savior didn't understand the sounds she understood quite clearly the meaning behind the feeling- she was hungry and her appetite demanded to be satiated. It was going to be next to impossible, much like everything else with the Marrowstripe, due in part to her food source not being around. At all. The school itself probably wouldn't know what to do with a second of her kind wandering around, let alone another female. A male itself would be enough of a problem that drastic measures would need to be taken but it seemed as though that wouldn't be the case. Either Savior would have to find another Marrowstripe to eat or she'd have to starve long enough to forget that she was even hungry. The latter was going to happen first, but she didn't know that.
Starting to move around a bit in an effort to find some food Savior's footsteps took her back and forth over her own trails; the scent of citrus was nearly intoxicating with how thick it was and how much sand had accumulated through her pacing. It didn't matter that she was probably causing a lot of trouble for all the other students in the area with her mumbling, stumbling, and general sand-shedding; Savior just was wandering aimlessly and that's all there was to it.

A knob wandered aimlessly through the hall after class with some paperwork clenched carelessly in his fist. A grumble here and a grumble there and Bul was feeling a lot better about his ridiculous assignment. Had to do a lot of reading or something right? Not this boil.
The monster was headed in the direction of the library when he paused. Something... didn't feel right. It didn't smell right either. "No way.." he muttered to himself and crouched stealthily to the ground, tail whipping behind him while his spines clattered together lightly.
Stepping on a bit of sand the boil halted completely and examined his toes. Is this really her? he thought before turning a corner to catch a quick glimpse of the Marrowstripe girl from the Island then swiftly leaping back behind the wall.
SHIIIIIIIIIIT-
For a moment he looked down and sniffed himself knowing it would be best to smell extremely alive and fresh right now. Perhaps his natural form? No.. it smelt even more gross than a sweaty boil, surely she'd catch his scent that way. Like a mouse playing hide and seek with a cat the unorthodox beast did what he could to tip toe past the point in the hall where he'd caught the ghoul pacing by herself.

...there. Something. Something has crossed over her trail, their steps interrupting the scent that Savior had been following back and forth. The Marrowstripe quickly swung her head to the side, eyes wide in the direction she felt the change coming from. Felt, of course, was an awkward way of stating that she could smell the different that came about from having her sand passed over. All of her kind could do such a thing so it wasn't just her; however Savior was likely to ever be the only Marrowstripe at Amityville. Her race was like that of a movie - There can be Only One. Well, only one female anyway and no males if there were any females to be had. " . . . . .. " A soft rumble echoed in Savior's throat as she exhaled, her simple sigh vibrating through her hollow bones and out of her mask as a cryptic and grating call. The sound was repeated several times as Savior turned her body towards where the scent had been turned away, her pace quickening with each step.
". . . . there." She spoke softly as she rounded a corner and set her eyes on a figure in the close distance, her shoulders moving down in position as she took longer strides. Soon she would close the distance between this retreating figure, the sighs from her throat nearing as roar as she drew up. The audible sound of her knuckles and joints cracking followed up the call as Savior raised her hand to strike. . . only to pause mid-motion at the disappointment before her. ". . . . not." The raised hand quickly dropped to her side, the Marrowstripe gaining a look of great disappointment on her visible features.
Her entire posture and demeanor changed, from a threatening position to that of an uninterested child. Savior set hr gaze on the ground before interlocking her fingers, the click of her sharp nails against one another the only sound she made. "Not youse." Ugh, now what? She'd gotten so excited, so ready to go! Her stomach protested with a loud whine, startling her.

This was it. He was Marrowstripe chow he just knew-
"Huh?" Bul turned to the ghoul now withing rattling his spines any further. Once she had shown disinterest he knew for sure he didn't need to continue to intimidate. "I'm not a creature like you, nope. We're pretty much safe."
Now stepping out from the corner Bul knelt to be more at the other's height and leaned back on his tail like some sort of beanbag chair. "Since I'm not dying or anything... how have you been? I literally haven't seen you in ages." he asked quite forgetful of the Marrowstripe's very limited vocabulary. After making his recovery at the Abandoned School he'd sought to give the ghoul his best wishes but unfortunately that time frame was cut drastically short.

"Sayuff." Was Savior disappointed because she was now this 'safe' thing? Probably, but most likely she was disappointed because she was really, really hungry and not coming across another of her specie meant she was not going to get fed any time soon. "Wut sayuff. And not dies, youse." Savior really needed to learn to speak better, faster, but she was picking up with her mimicking what others were saying to her. Eventually she'd figure out enough what others wanted and perhaps have a complete sentence of her own, but for now acting like a parrot never hurt.
With this newcomer at her level Savior learned closer to him and sniffed slightly, some part of her really just hoping that she was going to be able to eat anyway. This stranger smelled of. . . not Marrowstripe and so she was disappointed for yet a third time though one wouldn't know it by her posture or her expression. She looked dazed (at most) and confused (most commonly). But he was still talking, what did he want from her? Her name? That would make sense, giving names was important after all, and Savior moved to place her hand on her chest.
"Savior. Youse." She motioned out towards the male, her fingers moving in a sort of 'give me' motion. "Long time." She had no idea who he was, sucked to be him.

"Savior huh? That's your name?" Bul realized she was obviously speaking of herself when she then placed a hand towards him. "Bul. My name's Bul," he replied, and actually had something to hand her given her gesture. "Here-"
Out of his pocket he pulled a small lump of his snot ball. Maybe she could... eat it or something? Whatever she did maybe it would keep him on her good side yes? biggrin
Bul let out a faint yawn. "Youse uh... youse monster too?" Trying to use her dialect he made a sorry attempt to further communicate with the Marrowstripe. After all, monsters were monsters!

"Marrowstripe. Mun...ster." Savior did her best to explain what she was with what she could hear and mimic. "Savior, Marrowstripe. Munster." She watched with curious eyes as to what Bul was doing with his hands, pulling out some kind of strange object.
Whatever it was it certainly smelled weird and her nose wrinkled itself behind her mask. What exactly was that thing and why did he have it in his pocket? The Marrowstripe couldn't comprehend things like pockets just yet (or having possessions for that matter) so it was like this boil was performing magic right in front of her by producing something he didn't have before.
Smelly, nasty magic. Savior didn't know if she wanted a part of that at all. "Wut that."

A Marrowstripe? Well that would explain a lot about her mysteriousness. A mutt like him would know absolutely nothing about her elusive culture. It actually struck him curious now that he knew she wasn't exactly a lizard thing like him or anything.
"It's a snotball. Monsters like me looooove snot and slime and stuff yanno. Try it. If you don't like it-" he began then suddenly reached back into his pocket again and pulled out an even bigger chunk of it and started to bounce it on his knee. "-then you play with it!"

"Eww." Not every monster liked to play with such this apparently, as Savior's nose curled beneath her mask and her hands all but curled away from whatever it was Bul was doing on his knee with the snot stuff. It looked disgusting but it didn't really smell at all, and if it was solid enough for him to be bouncing around then. . . . maybe Savior could give it a try. It did look fun too and she was getting sort of curious, much like a child denying a toy but later wanting it. "How does."
The Marrowstripe motioned at how he was bouncing it on his knee and raised her own leg in a copy pose, curious if that was correct. She didn't move it like she was bouncing, instead simply standing there, and she tilted her head to the side with a puzzled whistle. Bouncing whatever it was couldn't be that hard, right? "Tries."

Disappointed was only part of the half beast's expression when Savior shriveled at the idea of the snotball. >8 He thought maybe he could win part of her heart with a snack but what was that? Bul caught the spiked interest in the Marrowstripe and chuckled softly when she mimicked his stance.
"Yea take the small chunk here," he pointed at the snotball he'd offered and then glanced back to the one he had now started to bounce back and forth between his tail and his legs. "And you try to keep it off ground."
Maybe that was a little too detailed? Bul hoped he wasn't boring the ghoul but was glad to be making a breakthrough with her since their... earlier incidents. If he could stop another Cricket from happening then he was all good. "Up, up, up, up-" he repeated with each hit.

" . . . " Savior still wasn't much sure about what all was going on, but the game and the point of not letting it hit the ground seemed to work well enough in her mind. When the ball was offered to her again she took it and attempted to bounce it on her foot. It failed, miserably, and the Marrowstripe reached down to try it again.
. . . . and again.
. . . . Perhaps third time would be the charm.
. . . .Nope.
" . . . . . . . " Thankfully Savior's natural good nature kept her from getting irritated and she decided to give it one more go, pretty sure this time she'd make it through. To her surprise she did manage it, keeping it off the ground with the movement of her knees. The monster was always good with her balance and using her legs for many things so it had only been a matter of time anyway before she got it right. "Up, up up."

Snotball wasn't everyone's sport but seeing Savior being able to keep the object off the ground for so long pleased the half beast and Bul clapped softly for the Marrowstripe to the beat of her rhythm. "Wow look at you go, you're doing awesome."
Bul slowly stood up taller with his own snotball and started to kick it around hitting the walls and ceiling and letting it return to him from impact. "It's fun to knock it around rooms especially when there's nothing in the way to break."
Showing a fang he jumped into the air and this time struck the ball with an elbow and letting it stick against the wall.
"And sometimes that happens so you have to gauge your strength with each hit or it'll just stay stuck."

Anything more than whatever she was doing was entirely, entirely too complicated for Savior. She was just super unhappy to be able to keep the ball from falling off her knee so when Bul tried to show her work with his tail it was way too much for her to even think of. An attempt to use her ankles of a fun bump ended with the snot ball hitting the ground.
" . . . . . " Instead of kicking it again she grabbed it and threw it at the wall, watching with joy as it stuck. Hard. "Stuk." She peeled it off with her nails and did it again, then again. "Fun."

Hey, that was one way to do it!
Bul appeared equally enthralled at her intrigue when the snotball hit the wall and stuck then repeated the process. "See and I do that sometimes too when I'm feeling upset or anything. Beats the snot out of exerting yourself too much with keeping it off the ground."
He then laughed at his oh-so wonderful pun.

Savior didn't get the pun. she didn't get it at all and so Bul was left laughing by himself. She did manage to raise an eyebrow though which meant he at least still had her attention.
For now.
The snot ball was once again peeled from the wall, tossed back, then peeled again. Savior poked at it, prodded it, and then proceeded to place it in her hand and hold it back out towards the monster. It was losing a bit of its edge after having been handled so many times and beneath her mask she was frowning. Things that couldn't do what they were supposed to do anymore were not worth it to Savior because that obviously meant they were broken.
"Fix." Broken things were useless to Savior and so she hoped that Bul would be able to remedy the situation.
