How many days had passed since Savior found herself wandering about the grounds of the school? Her movements had slowed considerably with each passing hour, her eyes cast downward as though she didn't care to see her destination. Something seemed to be nagging at the back of her head like an annoying buzz; a feeling she couldn't put her finger on no matter how hard she tried. Scratching her head and tracing her steps didn't do much to ease that nagging feeling she had but, knowing Savior, it would eventually disappear. Her memory didn't last long and most of her feelings only lingered a bit past that original sense of loss.
Still, it was weird that there were a few things here and there she could remember. Her vocabulary had not ceased to be, in fact it was steadily growing, but everything else was either a blur or something she had to be hard pressed to recall. She remember basic things, like kushis since she liked them quite a bit, but everything else? Even the rain? A mystery.
So it was is this manner that Savior found (?) herself staring at something, perhaps a tree, and she tilted her head to the side as she examined it. It smelled nothing like her so it was very clearly something unknown.

Holly's day had started off pretty normal, or as normal as it could in this place. Seriously that wasn't really normal when she thought about it. She'd attended class, done some homework which she was pretty sure could have killed her. Those bunnies were freaky. The ghoul had just been coming back from turning in that assignment when she saw something.
There was another ghoul standing there staring at a bench. She was about to shrug it off as just another 'normal' thing about the school when she took a closer look at the student.
No, it couldn't be. Savior? It had been a very long time since the events on the island and since then she'd barely seen the ghoul. Holly knew, after those small experiences, that Savior didn't retain much information at all or just forgot just about everything. At the time of the island the other ghoul did seem to remember West and that was about it. Holly had been concerned that she hadn't recently seen the ghoul but wouldn't even know where to start to look for her.
Now here she was, just standing there. She hesitantly approached Savior from the side. "Savior?"

Savior knew her name at the very least and she turned her head the moment she heard it called, her green eyes wide with confusion at the sudden announcement. For the most part she'd thought she was all alone, most of the students either off in class or doing student-y stuff, so she wasn't expecting to be hailed in such a manner. If she'd been the type to react badly to being surprised then this newcomer who approached her would have been in for a very bad time. "Youse." The way Savior spoke it was as though she were about to suddenly speak, to announce her knowledge of this newcomer, but anything else after that would sadly strike it home about her memory. "Who youse."
There was not even a single hint of recognition in Savior's eyes as she looked this stranger up and down, her hands moving to in front of her body as though she wanted to reach out and touch someone. This person didn't have her scent, they didn't have a scent at all, and she frowned beneath her mask. Thankfully her brows creased to show the intended effect, an overall look of confusion and attempt to recall something long gone. The nagging feeling in the back of her head buzzed hard.
"Savior." Almost as if by default she repeated her name, expecting the newcomer to know something about that. Having someone she didn't know know her name was a little odd, she had to admit, but nothing to cause any panic. Hardly anything caused panic in the Marrowstripe.

She'd actually been on her way to do more student related things when she saw the other ghoul. After all this time she found her just standing around in the middle of the campus. Holly would have asked her where she'd been but knew that conversation would lead no where at all. Or no where useful. Maybe that useless demon boil would know? She thought she remembered that he knew where the ghoul lived, or sometimes did but Holly wasn't on the best speaking terms with him at the moment. That last meeting had still been awkward. She shook her head as she brought her attention back to Savior.
Youse? Oh, you. Great, the ghoul didn't seem to remember her name. Probably from the time? During the island event she didn't seem to remember any names but two. Awesome. Holly noted the confused look on her face, was she trying to remember?
What would she do now... Holly pointed to herself. "Holly." Then she pointed to Savior. "Savior." Even if she didn't remember her, maybe she'd figure out the name part? Yeah, she wasn't holding her breath on that though. Once more for good measure the ghoul pointed to herself again. "I'm Holly."

"Horree." Hmm, why did saying that word feel so familiar on her tongue? She couldn't put her finger on it, not that she was trying hard to, and the Marrowstripe eventually shrugged it off with the idea that Holly just sounded nice to say and she liked saying it. That itching ache in her head seemed to lessen itself now that there was a name to this stranger before her, and the monster scratched at her head with a free hand. "Okay, Horree. Understood, Horree."
Chanting, repeating - it was all the same and it all made her feel so much easier. Savior didn't like being burdened or troubled, but even all of this talking didn't get rid of all that unease. Was there something else out there she was needing or missing? The Marrowstripe doubted it, but she basically zoned out in an effort to think about it. When she snapped back to attention it wasn't even like she thought of anything at all and she looked at Holly, an eyebrow raised. "Soes. Um, now wut." Savior'd been by herself for a while so she'd forgotten how to deal with another person. Were they supposed to be doing something?

Holly crossed her arms as she stood there watching Savior. This seemed to be going on where fast. Did Savior even remember West at all? Or her own dorm. Wait. Did Savior even have a dorm? She vaguely remembered hearing something from the boil about that but oh well, she forgot too. Dang. The other ghoul did seem to get the hand of saying her name. Sounded the same as always but a bit more distant. Probably since Savior couldn't actually remember her. Or the island. Lucky. Well at least she knew her name for the moment. How long did her memory last anyway? Was it always the same or different. Or were there other factors to that. Again something about that reminded her of West but she couldn't remember what he'd said about that. He knew though, she'd have to ask later.
She stood there for another moment before scratching the back of her neck. Savior seemed to be in a far off place now. Should Holly just leave? But then she'd leave Savior just standing in the middle of the courtyard by herself. Probably not the best idea and she'd probably lose her again for months. Yeah, not the best plan. And then Savior came back, mentally, for the most part. What now? "Is there anything you want to do?" Wait. Yeah, probably not the best question. "How about we find something to eat." Savior was one that would need to eat, right. Or probably.

"Do, ugh." What was there for Savior to do? It wasn't as though the monster had hobbies or anything other than wandering around, staring at stuff, and killing kushis. Perhaps those could have all been called hobbies in one form or another but the Marrowstripe wasn't inclined to think that way and she was maybe certain that her new companion-friend wouldn't want to catch kushis and crush them.
The death of the kushis were still entirely accidental, at least in Savior's mind, so she wasn't a killer of the innocent rodents just yet. More like...someone overly curious who just happened to squish things when trying to look at them closer. Or someone who just killed things without thinking because she didn't know any better, just like a small child. ( Most certainly a small child. ) The mentioning of food did get her attention though.
"Savior eat Marrowstripe only." The statement was loud, clear, and hopefully help explained why Savior was so violent towards others back on the Island when she had believed them to be members of her own kind. "Female Marrowstripe made only for that. Male Marrowstripe kill youse. Eat youse too, but no Savior. Savior protect." Was she being a little vague? Savior certainly hoped she wasn't and Holly would understand. The monster was quite proud of her race (and naturally, of herself) so explaining about her kind to others was always fun.
. . . . if she could figure out what words to use. Natural facts were never lost in her memory no matter how bad it seemed so there was never a need for anyone to worry about a Marrowstripe forgetting who or what they were.

Ah, that was right. Holly remembered from the island all the talk of Marrowstripes. Vaguely she recalled something about eating but not that new fun fact that Savior just told her. So Savior's kind eats their own. Awesome. Glad she herself was already dead and not a Marrowstripe either. The ghoul took that mental note down. Females of Savior's kind only ate their race. Males ate anyone. Great. Though Savior would protect her, so good to know that.
"Well, let's not hope to run into any of your kind then. Thanks though." She grinned just a bit.

Of course they wouldn't run into their kind, Savior wouldn't allow that but - wait. There was a strange scent on the air, it smelled like her own mixed with something else, and Savior completely forgot what she was doing and decided that what it was over there it was certainly more worth pursing.
That being said, Savior ran off.

Well that was special. That was Savior though. Holly watched as the ghoul ran off to do Jack know's what. She knew she'd see her again some time soon. Eventually.
