There's a new kid in school! His name is Nicholas Emerson, he's sixteen years old, and doesn't seem to like to talk to people. It's weird cause he looks like someone you would meet in a host club or something! Not only that, but he's wicked talented at playing the piano and can sing too! It's a wonder why he doesn't try to get girls, but oh well. However, two girls do spot him and slowly started to form a huge crush on this guy! One is athletic and kinda hyper, but still has a shy and and somewhat timid nature about her when it comes to guys. The other girl is a nerd, loving things such as anime and math. She's a quiet girl, not very outspoken, but will speak her mind if pushed. You know what is so special about these two girls? They're twins! You know what else is special? Where Nicholas now lives. He lives only three house away from the twins! How will this love triangle suffice?! Who will Nicholas choose if at all? We'll find out soon enough!!!

The Characters: 'Play the new tune, sing a new song.' Name That Will Stay Forever: Nicholas Emerson How Many Presents Will I Get This Year?: Sixteen Education DOES Matter!!!: Sophomore I Act How I Act: I like to keep to myself, not really talk to anyone. I'm not shy or anything, I just like talking to people. I may open up to some, but that is a rare thing, also considering I'm new and know nobody. My Story Isn't A Fantasy:My looks came from my mother, and my musical talent came from my father. I love music and just grew up with it, my father teaching me how to play piano as well as sing. I never really stayed in one place as I grew up, moving constantly because of mother's job. That's why I sort of shut myself off to others since I couldn't really keep friends for too long. This situation is different though cause mother finally got a new job and we can finally just settle in! Give Me More And More: - Piano - Singing - Music Eww!!! These Suck!: - Coffee - Rap/Hip hop - Sports (A small exception being baseball) A Picture Does Say A Thousand Words:
Shh! It's Secret Stuff!: Nothing really secret about me honestly. 'I love him, Nelly, and that, not because he's handsome, but because he's more myself than I am.'Name That Will Stay Forever: Camilla Price How Many Presents Will I Get This Year?: 15! Education DOES Matter!!!: I'm a sophomore with straight A's I Act How I Act: I'm quiet, shy, but very strong in my beliefs. I love to read and study, and sometimes the two go hand in hand! My Story Isn't A Fantasy: I love to be on my own, because otherwise people tend to call me by my sisters' name. It's happened quite often since I was born, so I died my hair this year to not look quiet so much like my sister. Hopefully this year someone will be able to tell us apart and I can make some new friends. I heard there will be a few more new students in our grade. Can't wait to ask my sister about him. I'm sure they'll be best friends right away. Give Me More And More: - Books! - Chocolate! - Soda or iced tea. Eww!!! These Suck!: - Milk - Television - large crowds A Picture Does Say A Thousand Words:
Shh! It's Secret Stuff!: 'Hand-eye coordination is tricky, but not when you're a cartoon, right?' Name That Will Stay Forever: Jamila Price How Many Presents Will I Get This Year?: 15 Education DOES Matter!!!: Sophomore I Act How I Act: Very athletic and into sports (she is in both water polo and soccer) and sort of hyper as a result of all the energy she gains from sports. However, she does have a soft side that appears mostly around boys - she has yet to be asked out or have a boyfriend and she very much wants to change that. My Story Isn't A Fantasy: Jamila has always been slightly more athletic than her twin sister - her parents like to tell of a story where Jamila hopped on her tricycle and tried to run away and live in a nearby playground when she was three years old. From there she took a liking to anything sports-related, including watching games with her father and the occasional male friend - didn't that mean they liked her if they invited her over? Does that count as a date? Jamila is prone to quick and deep crushes on men that she has only just met, even though when that is pointed out she will be quick to defend herself. It's okay to have a few crushes, right? Give Me More And More: - Water parks - Scented markers - Lip gloss Eww!!! These Suck!: - Math tests - Limes - Blood A Picture Does Say A Thousand Words: Shh! It's Secret Stuff!: Along with never being asked out, I've ... um ... neverbeenkissed shut up! Don't tell anybody!

(Let us begin!)
The music room filled with music during lunch period, the new student who arrived only a week ago putting his talents to the keys as he fingers moved to the suite. Usually the music room is next to empty during lunch as all the students are with their friends, talking gossip or other subjects of matter. Nicholas however, saw no interest in talking, but instead play sweet sounds of music. A smile was on his face as he let himself go to the music, seemingly entranced by it's harmonious tone.

Jamila Price listened for the loud clunk that signaled she had received a water bottle from the vending machine in the lunchcourt. Soon enough the clunk came, and so did her water bottle. She bent down to pick it up, blushing the tiniest bit with the thought that the boy standing behind her to buy something might like what he saw. Today Jamila wore a white racer-back tee-shirt, dark jeans and green ballet flats that were a little scuffed from the quick, confident way that she walked. She showed this walk to the seemingly uninterested senior boy, who was evidently more focused on buying something. Well, he would probably just be mean anyway. Flipping one of her long blonde-red pigtails to her back, Jamila walked towards the gym - but then realized it was closed during lunch hour. Stopping in her tracks, the girl decided that maybe she'd eat lunch somewhere else today - it meant she could at least try and meet new people, right? So off she went, currently aimless in her search. And then she heard music. The gym was fairly close to the music room, surprisingly enough, and Jamila could definitely hear the music now. She knew well enough where it was coming from, but who was playing? Absently tossing her water bottle from hand to hand, the teenager went to go find out. Usually the music room is empty during lunch hour, she thought. Who could it be? Is it the teacher, maybe? As she approached the music room, she finally realized the melody of the music - she didn't recognize the song, but whatever this song was certainly sounded beautiful. She should get a closer look! And so she did. The boy she found wasn't anyone she had seen before, but his skill was definitely admirable. Smiling sheepishly despite herself as she closed the door behind her, Jamila blushed and marveled, You're really good ... how long have you been playing?

Nicholas heard someone soon speaking to him, the music stopping dead in its tracks. It was a voice he did not know, a girls voice, a voice he did not want to hear. He turned around, his hazel eyes looking up at the face of the girl. "Twelve years..." He said to her, his voice sweet, but still had a sense of distrust.

Jamila felt herself fumble when the boy's gaze turned to her. Dang! Why did she have to be so akward around boys? She tried resorting to tossing her water bottle from hand to hand to calm herself at least a little, but now it dropped and rolled five feet to her left. Becoming thoroughly embarrassed, she trotted to pick it up. It was when she stood up with her water bottle in hand that she noticed the boy had stopped playing the piano. In fact, he had stopped as soon as she had come in. Dang, dang! Here she was making a fool of herself and all this boy wanted was to be alone and practice music. She quickly apologized, You don't have to stop ... um, would it be okay if I listened? Jamila bit her bottom lip. She hoped it wasn't too much to ask.

Camilla was enthralled in a thick book that she had in her hands, with her simple black book-bag slung over her shoulder on it's single strap. Unlike her sister, Camilla wore a skirt that fell to low thigh, just above her knee, skin colored tights that she got from the times she was in figure skating -and failed miserably- and a brown pullover sweater that was pulled to show off her shoulders. She heard the music as she walked passed the arts department, and slowed down unconsciously to listen. When the music stopped she continued walking, though not as quickly, and humming the tune she had heard. Here and there she added parts to "finish" the tune. She didn't have to walk far to find a hallway that was completely empty, and she started singing the tune. Her voice was nice, good tone quality and she could hit every note, but she hated people hearing her sing so no one would ever know she hoped. Soon, Camilla spun, waltzing back and forth in the hallway while singing the words of the story to a few versions of the melody she had heard.

(I'm the one who isn't that good. I think I get to the point too quickly in my posts)
Nicholas simply sighed, really wishing this girl never interrupted him from his music. He heard her apology and thought about her offer. Yes he wanted to play, but he was more comfortable with it alone, like always. He sighed once more and nodded. "Sure, just don't make any interruptions again." He said, turing around to the ivory keys. It was dead silent for a few seconds, and then, with a drop of his fingers on the keys, he started to make magic happen with his flowing music, each note like a word of a story that just never wants to end.

(We all have our areas of weakness, its okay. I could go on and on about mine, but I'd rather not have a pity party right now. xD)
Jamila nodded, deciding immediatly not to speak anymore in the stupor she threw herself into whenever she was around boys. She sat down in a slightly distant chair, hoping that if she were a little ways away it might help (maybe even in just the tiniest bit) this new student relax. She looked over at the clock to her left briefly - they were about fifteen minutes into lunch hour, had this boy been here since the bell rang? She idly began to wonder what his classes were and if she would see him again, but she convinced herself to slow her thoughts and focus on the beautiful music Nicholas was playing. And it was truly beautiful, it was like magic was coming from the old and slightly worn piano. Twelve years, he had told her. However old he was, it meant he had been playing since he was very little ... like Mozart? Jamila smiled to herself as her gaze flicked from Nicholas to her water bottle sitting on her lap. She hoped they might get along, he seemed like such a great guy.

(I'm just having a really good day, I think, but there are certainly areas that I know I need work on. But "getting to the point too quickly" can be easily fixed. What I do is sum up what happened in my last post in a sentance or so if I can to give myself more room to talk. xD) After a few moments of "dancing" (it was much more a series of twirls and side steps to avoid walls and random lockers that jumped into her path) Camilla found herself on her butt laughing quietly. In the maze of hallways that was her school, Camilla found herself seated roughly one parallel hallway from the performing arts center. The music was dim here, but it was so quiet seeing as the music department was located between her and the cafeteria at the moment. She moved around the corner to be seated just outside the area the music was coming from and closed her eyes as she listened to the tune. It seemed almost familiar, parts were very similar to the style of Mozart, but then the player became more like Chopin, than... like no one she had ever heard before. Maybe she would meet the mystery pianist when they left the area.

The music was at first light and at a medium tempo, not to fast, or too slow. It then went into a fast, but dark piece, chords stabbing you like a knife. It then started to slow to a gentle and tame piece, like a romantic bossa nova in a park. It had everything and felt very emotional. This was twelve years of hard work and passion, everything that Nicholas loved was in this piece that he was playing. It never ended. He didn't want it to end. He never wanted it to end. It was his passion, his joy, everything he loved.
