Morrowind is by far my favorite TES game. In fact, it’s one of my favorite games altogether. I’ve recently been craving it again and reinstalled it on my computer. The thing is I like to mod. No offence to a great game but I prefer the updated graphics to the original. I suppose I’m bringing this on myself by not being content with the original content but I really do like to take full advantage of its modding community.
So I head over to Nexus and Planet Elder Scrolls and a few other resources (yay, Tamriel Rebuilt!) and I’m hit with a wall of mods. I know I want the Better Body mod and that’s easy enough to find. But I also want to upgrade the hair and face sets and for the life of me I can’t remember what used to use. And then there’re monster skins, armour skins, some new items, some houses, upgraded scenery, oohh, lookit thatnifty music mod and over there – a really neat companion mod. And before I know it I’ve spent hours dling content and I haven’t even booted up the game once. Oh, and I still haven’t found a good faceset enhancer.
So yeah, discuss: TES Modding Your Favorites Mods & mods you can’t play without A good faceset enhancer And so on and so forth.

Sadly no mods for me...I got the GOTY edition for the original Xbox. I'd really like to pick it up for the PC now, since I've got a decent one that should run Morrowind.

Ahh, too bad. I'm a bit of a mod junky. I tend to aim for PC versions over counsel versions for that reason. Still, I'd imagine that most new systems should run Morrowind now. It's a large game, sure, but it's also pretty old now.

That is true, I'd really love to play around with all the mods the TES community comes up with, but I really do like TES on the console as I don't need to upgrade it at all to get OB or Skyrim to run on it.
This thing nearly had a heart attack trying to run Starcraft II and that was on the lowest setting the game had.

Good point. My computer should still be alright for running this years games. I'm only really keen on playing Skyrim and Diablo III anyway (and maybe Star Wars: The Old Republic, although I'm really not too big on MMOs). Still, I'm really hoping Skyrim wont give me any issues. I know I wont be able to run it on its highest settings, but I shouldn't have to set them too low, either.

I started on the Xbox, but I specifically asked for a laptop that could play it so I could get into the modding. Unfortunately, like the song says. I'm a man of means by no means, so I dislike paying for stuff. Further I don't really know any reputable sites, or at least as reputable as these kinds of sites can be, where I can get stuff for free...

But telling you would be against the TES so I can't for fear of banhammer. Sorry.

Ah. Yes, indeed they are. For free mods, Planet and Nexus are the best. I thought he meant for an illegal, free copy of TES games. And I totally have no idea where to get those. No siree.

Ah okay, I'm not sure which he was talking about either, BUT I do know place where you can get two of the TES for free...UESP.net You can get both Arena and Daggerfall for free since the 10th and 15th year Birthday's of The Elder Scrolls series.

Mods should always be free. You'd be breaking some kind of tos by making a profit off of the TES content and constructor. Cool about the old games. Thanks for the links. I've been meaning to replay the old games. III-V, however, aren't going to have legit free sources.
