(( No this has nothing to do with Dcorp... not much anyhoo. XD and this doesn't count for a Playdate. Because it doesn't include Jekel and Nero.))

Clink.
And low and behold there was a hole in the beyond thick glass. The intruder gave a tiny smile as she slipped in, wearing your classic skin fitting suit.
Though breaking from the normal suit that covered one's entire body.. It was mostly long leather gloves that attacked to a bra-like wrap. As well as shorts almost short enough to lose their name. The only thing that didn't fit was the thick adventurers belt that looked like it was made more for a tomb than a museum.

They were close enough though.

A grey tail stayed close to her leg, out of the way as she lowered herself to the floor. Padded feet not even making a tap as they touched the ground.

Slowly, the masked figure made her way down the unsecured halls- Designed that way for the guards roaming the place. She paused at a gate blocking her desired room.

She gave a tiny sniff to the air, before jamming a rock climing tool into the marble wall. It gave a loud noise, but unheard as the patroll was just prefectly timed out of hearing.
Proceeding to hoist herself into the venting system with it. Unaware of any other unplanned activity in the museum.

The figure moved stealthily across the floor, almost bare feet moving silently over the tile. The masculine, almost athletic body this figure owned was clad in the epitome of a skin-tight suit, made out of a special kind of... Rubber, almost. It was made to make sure no DNA evidence or clothing evidence got left behind. Specially fitted for its current wearer, covering from toe-to-neck. And then there was the mask. It neatly held his head, keeping any hair from straying out, eyes cut out but then covered in a light sheen of tinted plastic. Three thin lines were also cut near the mouth area to enable both muffled breathing and speaking, another hole sliced over where the right ear was located, a hole drilled near its twin for hearing abilities... And for a place for the headset, of course.

He was a proffesional. This was a PROFFESSION. He really looked and acted the part perfectly. Axel was clad in his 'special suit' ready to perform a 'special job'. Ready to delve back into his real life. After all, thievery was how he and his brother had been getting by since they were just children. Their passion for it had escelated greatly since then, and now this was their life. Axel's clothing and jobs were decided and created by his brother. Many people called his brother frightening or intimidating. Axel called him a '******** genious.'

Those eyes scanned the area, the thief's body going entirely rigid as a voice met his ear- but it was just the voice of his brother from inside the headset. "Yeah... Yeah... Alright." His voice was hushed, trained to be unheard by all but the person at the other end of the headset. And then he was off. He was off to the more high-security area of this shindig- his suit wasn't just for DNA and looks. It also withheld body heat so that he's hard to detect for security systems, and his own accuracy could easily get him around some lazers. Easy. This was what he lived for, after all.

After his little run about, he finally had it in his hand. A ruby that almost seemed to glow, that supposedly had pictograms within it.. Somehow. An ancient artifact. Brilliant. He dropped the jewel into the neckline of his suit, and then was finally on his way out, grinning to himself. He was in the clear. Perfect. And he didn't even have to use any weapons or anythi- he froze suddenly. Probably because there was someone standing RIGHT. INFRONT. OF. HIM. His heart stopped, his hand instantly going back to the rubber pouch at his back, seeking out a gun or a knife. He was ready for self defence.

The woman wasn't near as professional.. This was a hobby, an obsession maybe... Kleptomania perhaps.
She'd been caught a few times, her tail would shed-and after they figured out it wasn't just a wolf DNA and managed to track her down she'd simply explain her profession, lie out her a**, and offer a few "extras" along with returning the object.
Either way.. she was sloppy, but she wasn't in it for anything but the joy of doing it.

Almost there... The wolf-woman dropped out of the vent, the room was just up ahead where she'd seen a grand thing. Shiney and all sorts.... Several myths had trailed after it.

Simply put.. she wanted it.

And then, ther eit was. She froze her heart in her chest as she automatically flipped out one of her own artifacts. The one she'd never give up for anything... An arabian dagger, incrested with gems in a specific pattern to tell a story.
She'd long since solved that, but thats not the point here. Right now its past had no meaning.. Just self defence at the moment.

She paused, arm lowering it's readied attack position ever so slightly... That smell. Familiar.. but it was too drowned out by the rubber for her to place.

She shifted back, not like they could duke it out here. The sounds would definatly draw the attention they both didn't want. But then again... she wasn't going to let her shiney go. Hm... What to do...

Two narrowed eyes examined both the female and what she sought out, the male's switchblade already drawn out and extended in an almost threatening manner. This was his stomping ground- too many thieves in one place brought too much attention, and could lead to clumsiness and accidents. It wasn't safe. He might need to dispose of the competition, not that this was unusual to him. He drew himself closer, taking in the appearance of his current 'opponent', deciphering how big of a threat they were and how much trouble he'd cause if he really did take her out... But then a feeling of recognition came to him. Perhaps it was just a coinsidence. It could have been anyone.

But those ears, tail, feel, hair? His knife, which was poised to go straight forward and press to her throat didn't follow its usual course. Shock filled him. "Bree?" That trained voice finally muttered from behind the mask of rubber, the hand wielding the blade lowering uncertainly. He was almost certain of this.. But almost certain was never good enough, only CERTAIN was.

The canine ears on the side of the womans head gave a jerk at the name, causing her to take a step back. Squinting to try and make out what the figure was... but all that was there was sa big black blob.

Her name though.... And that voice.

You could see as it hit her, the weapon nearly fell-Luckally for them she tightened her grip as soon as she felt the tiniest slip. Her defencive stance dropped.
She gave a quick nod, knowing she couldn't speak as it would echo through the hall. She never had a reason to before.

s**t. her mind urged her to get out of there, the guards would be around the corner any second.
Throwing her weapon back in its spot, she pointed each direction, hoping he'd get the hint there was someone coming, then turned to head back up into the airducts, dissapereing into the hole but not retreating yet.
As everyone knew, trying to make a fast excape in an airduct made alot of clanking.

And for her second reason... She wanted to make sure her interfeirance didn't mess up whatever Axel had going.

The male relaxed slightly- he'd been right... But then the other was pointing, and a voice was muttering in his ear from his headset. He needed to get out of here... And now. He smiled slightly. So they were coming... Let them come. They wouldn't catch him, and he knew it. He slipped back towards where he started, moving an entire floor tile and slipping down beneath the floor before sliding it back over.

He left a crack open, though, peering out to watch as some guards stalked past. He was lucky he'd hit this museum so many times, as he and his brother had by now carved a tunnel in. He probably would have had to fight if it weren't for this tunnel.. He stayed still even aftert hey were gone, watching to make sure that Bree was alright.. And to make sure he hadn't gotten in her way. He muttered something quietly into his headset.

Bree waited, holding her breath as the guards walked by. No sounds of any conflict... he must have been okay.
She smiled a bit, how interesting...

Once outside she waited to see if she could catch him, she had no get away car...A single car outside a museum would bring about alot of suspicion.
And no treasure to tuck away on her way home. Nothing better to do but to stalk her friend, right? Plus she wanted some answeres.

She could only guess at where he'd come out though...

And damn it was cold. She gave a tiny shiver, rubbing at her exposed legs in a failed attempt to produce warmth.
PostPosted: Sat Jul 08, 2006 7:10 pm

A hand joined hers on her leg, "Imagine seeing you here." A warmth was suddenly pressed against her back, the feeling of another's body, breath on her ear. He was a master at being undetected, working around guard dogs and alarm systems. Moving silently was something he had mastered.

His mask was off, and tucked comfortably underneath his elbow. He chuckled softly, and in his ear buzzed a voice coming through on his headset. He chose to ignore it for now. Surely whatever his brother was spouting at him wasn't all that important. "Small world." He gave a sly smile towards her, acting surprisingly calm for someone who's secret had just become exposed to someone he knew. Another thief, nonetheless. His identity was now known. Oh well, it wasn't like Axel to get all worked up over something. Ever. "Why, young lady, what brings you here at this time of the night?"

Bree almost melted into the warmth, leaning back against the man... Wether she knew it was Axel or not was a mystery. Though she likely reconized the voice. Her furry ear twitched at the warmth, lips forming a coy grin. "That's my line." she mused, tilting her head so she could see him.

Bree was rather calm as well... Sure, she could have gotten pinned for massive theivary over the years... But honestly, this was far too sexy for her to care about anything else. It was like something out of a movie, or a steamy romance novel. Speaking of steamy... She was more than willing to play along. "Oh, i was just looking for a hot, sturdy man to steal my heart away." She chuckled some at her own cornyness, giving him a cute and innocent look. Or atleast as innocent as Bree could look.

A soft chuckle rumbled from the young man's throat, a sly smile tugging at the corners of his lips. It had been awhile since he'd seen his.. 'Friend.' He currently had a more rugged look about him, stubble lining his chin and his eyes sharp. There was something about him, and maybe that was what drew women to him... He was much like a storm. Dark, and potentially dangerous. "Is that so?" His eyes met hers.

His voice was no louder than a whisper, trained and slightly husky--it got that way after he got a good adrenaline rush, and he sure had one when the guards had approached moments ago, "Be careful what you wish for." He arched a brow just slightly before moving forward to press their lips together.

Bree couldn't hold her innocent look for long, his voice, his look, that mysterious aura about him that had always attracted her to things that nearly killed her. But like hell if she'd ever learn...

She shifted to meet his kiss, slipping her arms around his neck to pull herself against him. "Are you sure you can get past my security system?" she whispered against his lips between breaks in their kiss. "It's tricky...You have to be skilled." She found herself quickly losing the cold that had been around just moments before.

Axel's hands slid to rest on her lower back, stroking up and down lightly. He gave her one of his cocky smirks, "I'm more than confident." He ran his hands lower and pressed in, drawing her closer. Another voice from his headset, another phrase ignored. He pressed his lips to hers again softly, eyes slipping closed.

And then, from out of nowhere came a man of incredible heght and muscle, one large hand clamping over Axel's shoulder. "The hell is going on here?" He was an intimidating looking fellow, ugly and covered in horrendous scarring. He tapped the shorter man's headset, "I've been ******** trying to get ahold of you. You had me worried."

Axel turned his head to smile up at his brother, "Sorry about that, brother. Won't happen again..." His hand lightly pinched where it had been resting. "Just got a little... Distracted."

The larger of the two glowered down upon the female skeptically.

Bree smirked, pressing in as he drew her closer, bending her leg around his and leaning up on her toes. She looked as though she might have been ready to climb him, and she might have been. Her ear twitched when she thought she head something, something muffled... But all concerns of it were whisped away as his lips met hers again, eagerly leaning back into it and tangling a hand into his messy hair.

"Mn..." she gave a noise, before the moment was shattered by an intruder. She automatically glared when the kiss broke, ears lowering. Stupid man who did he think he wa--Brother?
Bree's glare broke as she looked between Axel and the man, looking rather befuddled. He'd never mentioned a brother... Then again, she'd never mentioned hers.
She jumped some at the pinch, grin returning to lean in and lay a few soft kisses along his jawline, then slipping away to give the older brother a smug little smile. "It's.. Uhm. nice to meet you?" she offered, trying to keep her mind decent for a few minutes.

Axel's brother removed his shades in one swift motion, revealing the previously hidden horrible scarring of his face that surrounded and went over his eyes. The scars extended onto his actual eyeballs, which were glazed and close to sightless. It was an almost frightening sight. He squinted down upon the woman before promptly, 'harumph'ing. "We don't have time for your games this time, Axel." He chose to ignore this lady for now--he usually didn't aquaint himself with his brothers playmates. They came and go so quickly he didn't feel the need.

Axel smiled slyly, "But this is so much more fun." He arched his brows, but after gazing upon the unchanging face of his sibling he sighed softly. He lifted one of his hands, patting the tall man on his shoulder. "Alright, buddy. No worries. It wasn't even that big of a job, you know..." He chuckled softly, "I can't believe you'd think I'd get in trouble with such mediocre guards... But I guess we'd better be getting back soon.."

He looked back to Bree, "Why don't you come too? My brother will only be around for a short while, and Nero's already sleeping..."

Said brother snorted.

Bree hardly flinched at the scarring, she had her own scars... And one would know your own scars would always look worse than someone elses. Though her's weren't nearly as impressive as Axel's brother's, she was givin git more of a 'been there, done that' kinda attitude. Besides.. he probably never fell across ice into a viper-spike pit and impailed his leg.

Bree frowned some at his lack of responce to her... Then quickly dismissed it, afterall.. it wasn't Axel's brother she cared about; It was Axel. Speaking of that, Bree grinned at his invitation, Of course she'd go... He hardly needed to ask. "Mnn, I don't know..." she toyed a bit, letting go of him and straightning her outfit, just now noticing it had shifted while she was rubbing up against Axel, as outfits tended to do during such things. "The mood was broken but... I guess if you think you can make it worth my while?" she chuckled a bit, knowing they both knew he could.. But it was more fun this way. And Bree liked fun.
