A beige dojo rests here, it's small but not too old, most ninja of Shimogakure train by the tree lines with more powerful techinques, the inside is for low ranked techinques Up to Chunin. Scrolls for justu can only be obtained from the kage herself.

Quote: Sera sat on a bench at the training grounds staring at a small padlock she had borrowed for practice. She had napped when Sensei had practically bundled her in a blanket and stuffed her in a bed, telling her to rest. Shaking her head Sera wondered, she was hardly some fragile flower that would faint at the merest hint hard work. Focusing her power on the lock she felt is click in her hands, open at last. She grinned and tucked it back in to her pack. .:':. Anrokku no Jutsu (Unlocking Technique) .:':. 1/1 .:':.Quote: Sera had seen a child playing with a ball of light, and if it was simple enough for someone half her age to manage, she should be able to handle it. Walking along she formed a small ball of chakra in her hands and let it emit light. She smiled, pleased with her success and tossed it from one hand to another like a child with a new toy, before extinguishing it with a smile and looking around for a large clear area. She had a difficult set of techniques she had set her heart of learning. .:':. Chakra Hikari no Jutsu (Chakra Light Technique) .:':. 1/1 .:':.Quote: Standing in a clearing she wavered wondering if she should be practicing this technique in a tub, with a plug in the drain. Realizing how silly she sounded Sera took a deep breath and folded her hands in the signs intending to turn herself into a puddle of water. .:':. Mizutamari no Jutsu (Water Puddle Technique) .:':. 1/3 .:':.Quote: Finally opening her eyes from how they had been scrunched tightly shut; she laughed wryly in spite of herself. Conciously relaxing her body Sera managed to admit to herself she had done that to herself, when one was too rigid to accept the technique there was no possible way it would work. A few moments of slow breathing had her calm once more, and she was ready to try again. .:':. Mizutamari no Jutsu (Water Puddle Technique) .:':. 2/3 .:':.Quote: The hands signs flowed easily and in moments Sera felt as if she was awash in a cool mountain spring, opening her eyes slowly she looked up into the pales blue she she would remember seeing in a long time, and the sensation was soothing it was almost a disappointment to rise back up out of the puddle and turn solid once more. .:':. Mizutamari no Jutsu (Water Puddle Technique) .:':. 3/3 .:':.Quote: Sera knew her abilities and precision as a healer limited what she could do offensively in combat, so she intended to make sure what she couldn't defeat she could bind until someone could finish it off. And that required bonds. She reached into herself to draw forth the power to bind, and found it more then ready to answer her call. .:':. Tessayosse no Jutsu (Iron Chain Calling Technique) .:':. 1/3 .:':.Quote: With eyes as sharp as forged steel she reached out a hand and raised it up. The ground shook and she felt the beginnings of her chakra trying to do as she asked of it, but it was not enough, the control was not firm and the half formed bindings shattered, sight unseen. Sera sighed and studied how it had felt the moment before the bindings broke, correcting minute errors and flaws here and there she took a deep breath and prepared to try again. .:':. Tessayosse no Jutsu (Iron Chain Calling Technique) .:':. 2/3 .:':.Quote: Matching the feel of the flow of her chakra to the beat of her heart Sera reached out her hand rising slowly and from the ground rose five chains, one to bind each limb and one to wrap tightly around the neck. She she clenched her fist they drove back into the ground forming tight loops over invisible limbs, and she couldn't help but smile. She might not be able to finish the target off, but if he or she were bound to the ground by those chains, it would be a simple enough matter for someone else to accomplish. .:':. Tessayosse no Jutsu (Iron Chain Calling Technique) .:':. 3/3 .:':.

Quote: Sera examined the room and then decided she wanted to practice but which to practice first, her katas or her chakra training her father had recommended since the Chunin Exams were coming soon. She wondered idly if there was a way to practice both, she glanced up as she thought and an idea hit her like lightning. With a moment's hesitation she kicked off her shoes and planted her foot firmly on the side of the wall, carefully adjusting the flow of chakra through her body she placed the other foot and stepped. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.1/10.:':. Quote: Step by step Sera walked until she stood on the ceiling, in the center. Placing her hands at her sides she bowed, and shifted into a starting stance, already she was beginning to sweat, the concentration needed to walk on the ceiling was making her kata that much more difficult. She decided to start at the very beginning, her left foot slid to the left, shifting her stance toward the wall a block coming down to protect her side from an imaginary strike. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.2/10.:':. Quote: Another sliding step brought her gliding across the ceiling a strike backed by her entire body lashing out to knock back her imaginary attacker. A neatly executed turn had her facing the opposite direction another block to the same strike to her side, only on the other side now. Another punch had that 'attacker' stumbling back before she caught someone coming at her from the left. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.3/10.:':. Quote: Turning quickly she blocked the side strike and lunged, striking but this time it was not enough, twice more she lunged forcing her imaginary adversary back, until she could see him collapse in a heap. Someone came at her back and she whirled around the block protecting her blind spot by coming 270 degrees rather then 90. A strike had him falling back and yet again another strike came at her back, she whirled blocking and feeling sweat drip up her forehead, definitely a novel sensation. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.4/10.:':. Quote: Protecting her left side she lunched back down the center of the dojo throwing her opponent back with each strike, whipping around to block her back she turned 270 degrees, a seemingly over-extended turn but it guarded a point that would otherwise would have been vulnerable and added momentum to the block. Finishing the last sequence she returned to her initial position and bowed to the imaginary judges. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.5/10.:':. Quote: Sera fell to a kneel, letting her hands come to rest on the smooth surface, and help secure her. Her feet were aching and her entire body was shaking, what was normally a basic kata was becoming trying enough to have her will weakening after only a few minutes. She shook herself unwilling to surrender what she had worked so hard to achieve. She took a deep breath and brushed herself off; returning to her starting position she prepared to begin her second kata. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.6/10.:':. Quote: The second kata began with the same pattern but this time the blocks were upward, rising from the chest to above the head. The flat part of the forearm showing upward to absorb the impact in a way it would do the least amount of damage, as she stopped the hit then stepped forward to punch the opponent in the bridge of the nose her first knuckle slightly more extended then the others. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.7/10.:':. Quote: Behind! Forward. To the left! Strike! Strike! Strike! her mind recited through the kata as she moved. Her techniques became sharper and cleaner as her body readjusted each time it wanted to quit and Sera wouldn't let it. By the end she whirled to a stop and bowed, her blood pumping and she was ready to start onto the next kata eyes fixed and determined to do all her katas like this. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.8/10.:':. Quote: The third kata was more challenging, Sera made it to the center about to extend the pattern down the middle; she shifted her weight and kicked out, balancing her entire body on that one foot. She hurriedly set her foot back down on the ceiling and blushed at how patheticly she had reacted to that particular obstacle, she steeled her nerves and extended her kick a little further this time, holding back the initial flinchl but in that extra moment she wobbled and fell. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.9/10.:':. Quote: Cursing darkly Sera managed a tuck and roll to avoid injury when she fell. She uncurled from the ball after the roll and lay on her back staring at the ceiling that until moments ago had been her floor, and tried to catch her breath. Her body was soaked in sweat and her mind was exhausted even getting up to wash off seemed like too much work for her exhausted and much abused body. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.10/10.:':. Quote: Returning from a nice soak in near boiling water Sera was finally regaining feeling in her legs, which had shaken so badly she had hardly been able to stand to walk to the bathes. Unwinding the towel from her hair she twisted the damp locks up with a jeweled pin and stretched, rolling her hips to work the kinks out before shaking out her arms and legs. Smiling with exhaustion but determination lighting her eyes she stepped forward to place one foot on the wall. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.1/10.:':. Quote: Walking along the wall and then ceiling was almost easy after practicing kata. The sliding of her feet, the positioning and rotation of the movements required so much more thought then simply walking, and even every detail, even those that normally would have come naturally was made to be balanced with chakra the complexity was magnified a hundred fold. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.2/10.:':. Quote: Giving a puff of air she pondered where to begin and started by shifting her weight off of one foot and slowly extending it before her. It required a lot more concentration but just the kick could be managed, but would she be able to complete the technique in the middle of the heat of a kata, that was another question entirely. She tried a few more times until she could snap the kick as she would expect for it to suit the kata. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.3/10.:':. Quote: Bowing Sera began her kata, the moves crisp and clean and when she got to the kick, she wobbled but her control held, and rather then show the weakness she followed through. She managed the top of the form with little difficulty and as she descended the center again with the kicks, she found she was growing accustomed to the amount of balance required to hold her body on the base of a single foot. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.4/10.:':. Quote: Bowing to complete the kata she bowed again with a wry smile before she flowed into the next kata. More sweeping hand movements for blocks and graceful sliding feet gave the kata a distinctly Chinese feel, as compared to the more severe Japanese Shotokan style. Sweeping blocks with straight arms, the bone unbent and unyielding while appearing far more graceful. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.5/10.:':. Quote: Growing tired of the monotony of kata Sera smiled and knelt to the ground, to break contact would have her plummeting to the... ground. So instead she did a child's roll, starting near the ground and while she was rolling she tried to shift her chakra to maintain her connection to the ceiling, she didn't get far before she tumbled off the ceiling. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.6/10.:':. Quote: Already in the tumble she tucked her body tighter and rolled rather then crashed into the ground. Getting up she wobbled, dizzy but highly entertained, taking a running start she jumped her feet catching the wall as if it were velcro and running back up the inverted slope. Tucking in her body she rolled again this time focusing on the feel of where the roll would be next before reacting as quickly as she could. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.7/10.:':. Quote: No longer as entertained with her rolling trick Sera stood upside down as she considered what else she could do with her new found skill before returning to the actual training she was supposed to be doing. One leg slid forward and the other back she she slipped into the splits with ease, leaning her body forward she touched her forehead to her knee and waited for her muscles to unwind from the tension the initial stretch caused. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.8/10.:':. Quote: Sera sat cross legged looking though the door, wondering if anyone walked in would they notice her, and idly musing about the possibilities of this position. She wondered if she could walk on her ceiling at home while she made dinner. Though the thought of hovering over a pot of boiling water over a fire being hold only by a chakra she was learning struck her as one of her less brilliant ideas. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.9/10.:':. Quote: Sera walked back down the wall , placing her hands behind her back she bent backward, wincing at the sound of the cracking vertebrae. She curled and uncurled her toes and fingers realizing with a laugh for someone as as young as she was, she creaked like an old woman. Sera laughed and promised herself an nice hot soak with some mineral salts. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.10/10.:':.

Quote: Sera sank up to her neck in the water, a sign of relief echoing from her lips as she settled back only to shift uncomfortably. There were undisolved salts remaining in the bath, and sitting on them was awkward to say the least. She released some chakra into the water stirring it in small currents and helping disolve the last of the salts. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.1/10.:':. Quote: About to dispel the little water streams she had made she turned them instead on the bottoms of her feet. Purring in contentment Sera melted against the smooth panes of the bath, the soreness of her feet being slowly worked out by the tiny chakra streams. With a thought she flicked her finger and a few more steams formed massaging the knots up and down her back, and truly delightful sensation. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.2/10.:':. Quote: The combination of massage, mineral salts and hot water, weakened Sera's concentration as exhaustion never managed to do. When her body started to give out on her, her Will only got stronger to compensate but this time it was her mind melting into a contented pool of mush that was getting in the way of her concentration. Taking a deep breath she managed to scrape together enough brain cells to maintain the control over the funnels. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.3/10.:':. Quote: Sera emerged from her bath and languidly wrapped a towel around her body before sitting back on the counter and sending a sharp jolt of chakra into the water uniting her little siphons. The now much larger siphon moved careful not to drop it's watery load, before floating out a window; Sera released the chakra and heard a loud splashing sound coming from outside. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.4/10.:':. Sera slipped into plain white robes of the lightest cotton and went to go settle in her meditation room, the soft sound of running water in the corner and soft breeze blowing through from the cracked window hidden behind sheer curtains. Quote: Sera settled on the cushion set aside for her meditations and folded her legs into a lotus position; combing her hair over one shoulder and made sure she was comfortable before slipping into a tranquil state. Letting her mind sync with her chakra she slowly manipulated it, streamlining it's flow and neatening it where the threads had frayed. She tucked and adjusted as she went until they aligned to her satisfaction. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.5/10.:':. Quote: Sera found it strange as she examined the patterns of the threads that they seemed to shift, just a fraction of a breath. But slowly their formations were changing, but she saw no change in her powerful, if anything it was increased the more she aligned and cleaned up the power lines. She shrugged it off and did an internal body check to make sure she was in top condition, come what may. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.6/10.:':. Quote: Sera took a deep breath and let it out again, letting the sound of her own heartbeat soothe her she followed that sound inward to the source. Taking care to concentrate on the feel of her chakra she let her mind flow through the routes paved by her heart, feeling the chakra out beyond the realm of her blood she let her psychic touch extend out to test the flow of the power, the power drew infintessiminally closer, a slight enough shift Sera didn't notice. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.8/10.:':. Quote: Withdrawing from that leyline of power she tested a few more points just to be sure and unknowingly shifted them in a manner she would see later, and question the difference in position. Satisfied nothing was out of order in her body or the leylines that formed her chakra network she focused once more on her heart beat, with each thump of the powerful organ she sent her chakra flowing through it's pathways like her blood did in her veins. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.9/10.:':. Quote: A strange belief she had always held was that anything that stagnates dies a little, it was true of water, talent, people, blood, and it only followed that chakra would be the same, But rather then waste power she simply shifted it, circulating it through her systems she kept it moving, and when she finally let it settle a tingling in her fingertips, she skimmed the top bit off and fed it into her heart, letting the blood absorb the excess and giving herself more room to raise her chakra's limits. Like a runner running to their limits and a few steps more each day allowed those limits to stretch. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.10/10.:':. Quote: Sera leaned forward and uncurled her legs groaning and grimacing at herself as she stretched after a few hours in the same position, but she felt refreshed and recharged. Standing she bent backward until her open palms touched the floor and her spine made a series of deliciously painful pops, as she stretched to work out the kinks. Shifting her head from side to side she worked the kinks out of her body before looking over at the wall and making sure nothing was high enough she would hit it as she worked on the ceiling. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.1/10.:':. Quote: Picking up a pair of beautifully ornate fans with steel ribs Sera couldn't quite stop the smile that lit her delicate face. Walking up the side of the wall she centered herself in the middle of ceiling her movements shifting from a fighter's clean techniques to a dancer's grace. One arm swept the still closed fan across her body looking like a delicate sweep, but could just as easily be a block in an elegant form. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.2/10.:':. Quote: Her other arms rising high and crossing over the other arm as it slide lower to her opposite hip she froze one foot turned forward as if to step only to slide to it's side. A long lean line of her leg let her balancing on one foot and the side of her toes as she shifted her arms, her elbows touching as her forearms crossed. A delicate flick of her hands had the fans snapping open, with a bright flash of candle light across brightly painted silks. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.3/10.:':. Quote: A fiery phoenix danced across blazing blue silk with bright golds, oranges, reds and white trailing in it's elegant feathers and long tail. The other fan depicted a beautiful sakura tree with it's boughs bending in the wind, lovely blossoms drawn with infinite detail floating on a seen but unfelt breeze. Each in it's own way beautiful, as was the delicate girl who held both with an ease that spoke of years of practice, more then half her life, nearly three quarters. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.4/10.:':. Quote: Sera began to spin, her stepped light and dancing, one foot always touching the ground, but sometimes as little as a toe. She began to sweat with the concentration required to keep her ground with the slightest point of contact, she stumbled and the jarring motion was far at odds with the beautiful grace of the fan katas she was practicing. She made quick moves to ease the flaws back into the pattern trying to 'bluff' her way past her imagined judges. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.5/10.:':. Quote: She had been taught when she was first beginning to learn to perform before judges, the only thing judges admired almost as much as a perfect technique was a good recovery. Mistakes are sometimes inevitable, but to not loose your confidence, or to show a sign of the mistake on your face, and return to the task at hand quickly. A good recovery was a sign of a strong fighter, who was not afraid or broken by mistakes, a gliding step brought Sera a stride forward. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.6/10.:':. Quote: Drawing back as if pulled by a string around her waist, her arms fluttered out before her, the fans over laying before snapping away from each other. Like ribbons in the wind the flowed and snapped, like the trails of flickering flames they slide senously before snapping and drawing the attention back to the center, the heart of the fire. One foot trailed around her, just the tip of her toes touching, like drawing a line in the sand, before shifting her weight to it, fast as a flash and lightly as a feather fall. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.7/10.:':. Quote: Sera managed to slip from her concentration long enough to skip the jump, removing both her feet from the 'ceiling' would end badly before slipping low. One leg lashed out around her, sweeping the legs of anyone close enough, she drew back, leg still extended one arm raised high behind her head, the fan forming a halo behind her. The other arm flowed the length of her leg the fan ending just past her knee hovering inches above it, the light dancing along the metal ribs of the fan. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.8/10.:':. Quote: Moving one fan down and across her chest the other shifted up and across with a snapping motion, the fan sliding shut, she felt a warmth along the inside of her forearm and swore softly. Licking the infinitely small cut she sighed, hoping hanging upside down didn't make it bleed more then usual. She walked over to the wall and leaned down to grab a handkerchief from the side table, there were a few laying there for spills and injuries. She bound her wound with a decent amount of pressure and reminded herself it was foolish errors like that would lose her her advantage. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.9/10.:':. Quote: Back on the ceiling once more she sunk low to the ground her weight resting on her back heel, her body close enough to the ground her butt touched her heel. Shifting slowly and smoothly from side to side her head level never changing as difficult enough, but she added in intricate dancing moves with the fans as if trying to cut herself again, if only to prove to herself she was capable of avoiding such an obvious mistake. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.10/10.:':.

Quote: It was almost like dancing rather then fighting the way she moved in this deadly dance of hidden blades and bright silks. Mother had taught her the tradition of the bladed fans was actually that of the samurai, Sera had questioned that, the shinobi and samurai were at peace, but why should she learn their weapons. Her mother had smiled and said, "Just because it is someone else's idea... if it is a good idea it should be used." She then presented her young daughter with her first fan, unbladed, unweighted and simply beautiful. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.1/10.:':. Quote: First came the beauty everything else would follow in time; her mother had said and she had been right. Sera moved with all the flowing strength of one who could control each and every muscle in her body and bend them to her will. Beauty was pain, and as much as warrior trained to be seen as physically strong and intimidating a kunochi had a different 'strength' to be perceived as having none, and hold that element of surprise until the very last moment. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.2/10.:':. Quote: Snapping her fans shuts as she concluded her kata she walked over to the wall and set them on the table from where she had gotten the handkerchief and moved back into the center of the mat. Sera played with her hair for a moment before looking around the room, content with the fact she was alone she drew the stick from her hair and held it tenderly in her hands, a gift from her parents, the design was her mother's but the thought that she needed a weapon with her at all times, recognized or not was her fathers. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.3/10.:':. Quote: The whirls and dips along the length of the head of the stick were intricate enough to side an invisible fissue, pressing the center of a rose the seam slid a fraction wider, just enough of a groove for a nail to fit into, but only for one who already knew where to set said nail. Flicking her thumb the blade slipped free of the sheath, the legnth of tempered steel was shaped like a four-pointed star. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.4/10.:':. Quote: Each edge of the star was sharpened until they met at a razor sharp tip, bringing it to her lips she kissed it impossibly softly, just short of letting the razor's edge cut her blood red lips. Letting her arm hang loose at her side, she flipped the blade to lay along the inside of her arms before flicking it out in a lightning quick movement, the blade catching the light and she could see in an instant the points at which she could strike that would bleed out before a healer would ever reach them. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.5/10.:':. Quote: The blade flashed and Sera was started by the lack of resistance before wincing when she realized where her imagination had led her. Slipping the knife back into it's sheath she tried to tame her hair upside down but it was not cooperating and she gave up, so long as it did not get in her face, which it was far from doing she would leave it, tucking her pin into her shirt, the wood warming against her skin. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.6/10.:':. Quote: Starting with basic stretches Sera sat on the ceiling and reached out to grab her foot, crossing her arms over her leg, as she took opposite sides of her foot to hold. Her head sunk to touch her knee, the pull was faint but even then took only a moment to settle out, switching to the other leg she bounced the stretched leg to loosen it back up. Reaching out to the other leg, there wasn't even a pull, one leg dominant over the other left one more flexible. Sera sighed tucking her right leg up and leaning first forward in a hurdler's stretch before leading back and stretching the muscle on the top of her thigh. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.7/10.:':. Quote: Switching to the other leg she curled it at her side and went first forward then back, rolling to stomach she slid one leg beneath her starting at her opposite side and pulling it around until he lay directly before her. Sera took her other leg and slid it out behind her until she was doing the vertical splits on the ceiling, she laughed as how silly she must seem to those who would walk though the doors, but she hardly cared. She had come a long way from not being able to balance on the ceiling to doing stretches inverted and held without even a hint of fear she might fall. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.8/10.:':. Quote: Sera smiled rising fluidly to her feet with a smile, she was getting a little hungry and she had practiced enough today to keep herself well in shape. Her father had hinted she might want to start practicing a little harder, and Sera hoped there had been a purpose to those hints other then to simply encourage her to work harder at her studies. If there was no other reason, her father was being silly getting Sera's hopes up, she already practiced as hard as she could given the time she had, but time was also needed to make friends and spend time with squadmates, if she ever got assigned. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.9/10.:':. Quote: Arching her back as she walked down the wall and too the floor she was finally able to put her hair back up in a bun with the wooden pin she had had tucked in her shirt. It almost felt strange not having to hold herself to the ground with chakra. Sera couldn't help at laugh at herself, a few hours upside down and one forgot what it felt like to walk on solid ground. She picked up her fans and tucked them into her belt before heading home to clean them and pack them neatly away again. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.10/10.:':. Quote: Sera rose bright and early the next morning and practically skipped down to the dojo, she was feeling full of energy, she had gone to bed exhausted by the end of the day, but today she felt brimming with so much energy she just had to use. She left a pile of weapons she had been carrying settled on the small table by the door or leaning against the wall, she had plans to train hard today. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.1/10.:':. Quote: Scooping up her sai as she made her way up the wall and to the ceiling, Sera smiled it felt good to to be doing something, but she was still anxious. All this time and she had still not been assigned to a squad, it was uncommon usually students were assigned shortly after graduating from the Academy, but she had not been. Shrugging it off as something of little consequence she made mental note to train that much harder, come what may she didn't want to fall behind those who had graduated her year as well. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.2/10.:':. Quote: Flipping the sai from a guard position and back to an offensives motion, she started a kata she only half remembered. She had been in the middle of learning it when she had stopped though the reason why had slipped her mind. She turned spinning the blades, catching the bo coming down on her, crossing the blades and catching it she twisted hard and fast breaking the bo cleanly in the middle between the grips. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.3/10.:':. Quote: Sweeping low she knocked the opponent's feet out from under them and followed with a hit to the temple with the reinforced hilt of the sai. Her moves were flowing and sharp as she glided back out of range, her weapons at the ready. Flipping her blade she jabbed her metal braced elbow back into an attacker's stomach where they had come up behind her, turning on a heel she flipped the blade back forward cracking the center tong along the attacker's collarbone. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.4/10.:':. Quote: Moving around and around she flicked the blades blocking one moment, catching a weapon the next, and carefully using the length of reinforced metal to strike or it's strong hilt to support his fist. It was a more brutal weapon then the fans, which were all fluid grace and delicate art, but no where near the most brutal weapon she would use today. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.5/10.:':. Quote: Half walking down the wall Sera swapped her sai for the more brutal yari spear, weighted more heavily to one end the entire spear was made of a much denser hardwood. Twirling it in her hands, the delicate strength of them deftly rotating the weapon she caught it on the side of her foot for a sharp stop from which she lunged the point ending about throat level. Twisting her wrist she rotated in the head of the spear before pulling it back, and theoretically tearing her opponent's throat out. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.6/10.:':. Quote: With her movements slower and more deliberate, Sera moved the entire weight of her body as she wielded the spear. It was not a preference of hers to have to wield something so heavy and ungainly. Her form and style tended more toward the graceful and light, matching speed over strength and making the most of her natural talents. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.7/10.:':. Quote: Finally setting the spear aside Sera crossed her legs sitting indian style on the ceiling and trying to rest and calm down long enough to her exhausted arms to stop shaking. It had been a long time since she had weilded spear and it had been her father's spare, meaning it was meant for a much larger man, cut down to her size but still far too heavy for her. Shaking her arms she stood with a huff and picked up the light sword that had been a graduation gift when she had left the Academy. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.8/10.:':. Quote: Holding the sword carefully she tried to remember the lessons she had taken so very long ago. When she had been no more then five years old she had wanted to be the greatest swordsmaster the world had ever seen; but as with most such dreams she out grew it when she saw the damage such weapons could do. She couldn't help but want to heal rather then hurt, even if the time came she needed to pick up a blade to defend herself, her honor, or her village she wanted to have more lives saved in her lifetime then taken. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.9/10.:':. Quote: Shifting her weight subtly she tried to recall the feel of the movements she had once been so familiar with, or maybe it was just a child's fantasy that told he she had known the sword. Finally realizing it was a mockery to the blade to use it, knowing as little as she did, Sera walked down the side of wall and settled the sword back in it's sheath and bowing to it before and heading back up to the center of the ceiling. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.10/10.:':.

Quote: Sera looked at the other weapons and picked up her fans again, no matter where else she went, or what else she studied she found herself back at the fans. The beauty and elegance of the forms were one of things that drew her back, flicking open one fan she swept it in a gentle arch across the from of her body. Turning she fluttered it half veiling her face as she glided one step away, a teasing movement, and a part of one of her favorite fan dances. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.1/10.:':. Quote: More then katas fans had forms that were every bit as elegant as a dance and far more appealing to the senses; the flutter of moving silk as she moved carefully. Step by step she moved in her training pants as if she wore a kimono, rising to her toes she slid and moved as gracefully as the wind. Bending her knees she swept the fan low, her body bending along with it, as she brought herself back to straight of back with the steel ribbed silk shielding her face from full sight. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.2/10.:':. Quote: Turning around she felt as if she were gliding on air, the way her feet attached to the ground was different and made her wonder if she could make moving like this on the ground. As she glided along her arms flowed around her, dancing just for the joy of it, she flowed like water and smiled the freedom in her eyes delightful. She let the fans glide around her like the fluttering of falling leaves it was such a relief to let the patterns flow rather then worry about their intent. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.3/10.:':. Quote: Each move was a test of balance and grace, a dance made to entrance the senses and ensnare the mind, so very different then the attack based katas she usually performed. Raising the cool metal she offered a kiss to the deadly steel feeling her entire body flush with the warmth of the power that flowed through her. To dance like this was a rare and much savored treat, to move like this while balancing upside down on a ceiling was definitely a first. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.4/10.:':. Quote: But it was combination of the power of the dance that gave her the energy and strength of will to continue to dance on the forepads of her feet. Even when her control wavered and she never hesitated to dance and let her body stay balanced on the smaller surface to bond. Her eyes were dark and smokey as she moved, there was such a passion in her that defied the gentleness of her movements. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.5/10.:':. Quote: Sera sighed and settled on the ground stretching her legs out before her and leaning her chest to her knees, letting her wrists rest on the top of her toes. The gentle pull told her stretching had been a good idea, grabbing one foot she tucked it up to her chest before raising it high over her head, different muscles pulled but it felt good. Setting it down, she took the other leg in her other hand and performed the same stretch, feeling a bit more pull in her right leg then her dominant left. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.6/10.:':. Quote: Spreading her legs she rolled forward the stretch helping unlock her hips as she did the horizontal splits, stretching toward one leg then the other she flexed her serratus anterior muscles. Rolling forward and back at the waist she worked the kinks out of the base of her spine, all the while making sure her legs remained secured to the ceiling with chakra. Placing her hands on the floor she secured the chakra from her body to the floor and lifted herself off the ceiling, rather then lifting her weight it was more letting her weight hang from the ceiling. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.7/10.:':. Quote: Twisting her legs out and behind her, her stomach muscles rippled as they flexed and contracted to hold the seemingly smooth poses. Letting her legs hang down she straightened, hanging from the ceiling by her palms, it took her a moment to readjust to the world being right side up after so long being upside down. Raising one leg up it only came about three quarters of the way before she had to release one of her hands and bring her leg the rest of the way up. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.8/10.:':. Quote: Bending her elbow she lifted her entire body on the strength of one arm and let her foot come to rest on the ceiling. Letting her body uncoil she pulled the other leg to lay straight against her other side while the one she had set on the ceiling supported her entire body. Releasing her leg she let it settle back down and rolled her hips a few times to work out the last of the stiffness. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.9/10.:':. Quote: Sliding her feet into a naifuchen she lowered her open palms to her thighs in a slow deliberate movement but the moment they touched she whipped them up. Her open palms shifting to an eye jab she crossed her left over right in a block followed by a jab with the right in the perceived opening. Bringing her elbow up she made a crack at the 'enemy's' jaw bracing it with her left to give more strength to the strike. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.10/10.:':. Quote: A crescent kick whipped around blocking a strike and bringing her to land right inside his guard, the heel of her palm coming up to crack him under his chin. Sliding one leg back she broke his stance and grabbing his arm threw him down the roll of movement more dangerous then the fall itself. Dropping to one knee as she threw the opponent she placed her hands on the ground and executed a back kick to the groin of another adversary. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.1/10.:':. Quote: Tucking and rolling she avoided the falling foe before bouncing to her feet and looking around to another adversary. She felt an arm across her throat and she grabbed at it one elbow coming up to the bash the man in the side of the head she twisted the arm up and around. The lock was unique in the aspect it locked his shoulder, elbow and wrist while giving her the position to break all three if he resisted. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.2/10.:':. Quote: Rolling forward she landed a knee hard along the middle of his spine and stood. A kick flying up and around to head level before retracting and holding strong in a picture perfect guard position. Turning slowly to one side and then the other she kept her guard high before releasing it and returning to a rest position. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.3/10.:':. Quote: Drawing her leg back up behind her she reached her hands behind her to hold her body bending back slightly she rose up onto her toes. With a quick shift from one position to another she kept her contact with the ground but her body began to slowly turn, everything balanced on the moving point of the forepad of one foot. She trembled, her entire focus working toward holding that contact, she spun slowly at first. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.4/10.:':. Quote: Sera felt herself begin to waver and she knew falling from this position would not give her much time to shift into a position in which she could land well. But it didn't matter, she needed to do this, she promised herself, if she could managed three days of training like this, to perfect her chakra control she would do it. She would open the scrolls her father had left her before this last mission to use 'when she was ready'. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.5/10.:':. Quote: She finally reached the top speed she could while spinning on her pad of her foot and reinforced her foot with chakra before rising up onto the tips of her toes. A little hop was required here and she had to spike the amount of chakra she used to hold herself in place to draw her back to the ceiling in the split second she broke contact. Sweat streamed down her body as she focused with all her might on the minute control and delicate power that was required to managed this technique. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.6/10.:':. Quote: All the while she risked falling and hurting herself she kept repeating to herself the promise she had made and thinking of the scrolls waiting for her at home. A small summoning scroll filled with smaller scrolls that had to be summoned one at a time to study and practice, her father had warned her that after she learned them she was to burn them. They were his gift to her, and no more, anyone she chose to teach them to would be from memory as he would have taught her if he had the chance. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.7/10.:':. Quote: Her focus broke and she fell, her body was exhausted and she was sluggish to respond, she fell landing hard on her side her body limp. She managed in her last moment to tense her neck to hold her head off the ground and out of the impact. If she couldn't manage a proper fall her limp state was probably the next best thing. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.8/10.:':. Quote: She tried to move, tried to rise but at first her body simply wouldn't respond, Get up! GET UP! What if they don't come back? she demanded of herself. What if you are alone this time for real! Do you want to be this weak! Sera managed to get her arms to haul her upper body up as her muscles screamed at her to rest. You want to learn those scrolls and you want to show them to your dad. So get up dammit! with that thought echoing in her mind she hauled her exhausted body to her feet and staggered back over to the wall. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.9/10.:':. Quote: Her muscles were tense from the way she held them while she concentrated, she tensed when she was unsure of herself. But no more, Sera set her foot on the side of the wall letting her control settle and set before placing the second foot and slowly but surely walking back up to where she needed to be. Folding her hands before her she forced her muscles to untense and relax, and her eyes snapped open, clear and focused. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.10/10.:':.

Quote: She started out slow, her body moving along the ground, both feet maintaining contact. One step and then another and her body remained relaxed, she nodded it was good, but nowhere near perfect yet. Rocking one foot forward she slid it to her forepad she smiled as her body remained still gently calm. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.1/10.:':. Quote: Rising onto her toes she felt herself tense for the tiniest moment before relaxing again. This was something she needed to ease into like slipping into a bath, while jumping in had its merits the tension in her body the moment before she did was not something she wound acceptable. She didn’t have the luxury of moments of tension, the last thing she needed was to cease up in the middle of a mission. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.2/10.:':. Quote: Sliding that foot along the finally relaxed and lift it up, the tension began melting away almost as quick as it sprung up. Her body was becoming acclimated to the movements and the feelings and slow as she was going her confidence was following. Manipulating her leg through a full range of motion she managed to remain in perfect unaffected control without a hint of fear. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.3/10.:':. Quote: Next was harder, she placed her feet back down on the ground and rose up to the pads on both of them. The loss of her heels and the sides of her feet diminished her balance base by half, but after relaxing on one foot she acclimated to this quickly. Taking a deep breath Sera retained her calm and knew in her heart she was getting closer to her goal, but not quite close enough yet. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.4/10.:':. Quote: Rising one foot up onto the tip of her toes she lost all but the merest contact on that side and this time she tensed even with the other foot as a ground. It was hard to feel safe when you balanced your entire body on the tip of one foot, there was so little surface area how could one claim to have balance. She knew she had the strength of will to push through and simply overcome whatever was thrown at her but she needed to trust she could do it rather than rush blindly. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.5/10.:':. Quote: Rising up to to the tip of her toe on the other foot her body trembled, and not just from the strain on her legs. She shook unsure if she could handle what she was doing and questioned even more what she wanted to attempt in the future. "I can do this..." She whispered to herself and when nothing more happened she felt herself begin to relax. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.6/10.:':. Quote: Muscle, by muscle, her legs still strained in their position but those muscles not in use uncoiled. Her hands relaxed from their fists into open palms and her stomach was no longer tensed as if for a strike. Her shoulders dropped and the muscles in her neck and back unwound. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.7/10.:':. Quote: Finally able to breathe again Sera took one quick step forward staying on her toes, each time she moved. She tensed but after each tense she waited to relax again, slowly her body unwound, and the next time it relaxed even faster. Again and again she pushed her limits and proved to herself she would do so and still remain safe. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.8/10.:':. Quote: Finally able to step she raised her arms up and let them fall down around her a graceful gesture. And only the tensionless muscles made it possible to move so seamlessly. One step turned into a stride and she balanced on one leg the other coming to curl behind her. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.9/10.:':. Quote: Letting her arms arch back to form almost a top like position she rose up onto her toes and turned every so slowly. Holding the position was a strain on already abused muscles but she knew it would only make her stronger. Turning faster and faster the speed at which she shifted from flat footed to on point increased. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.10/10.:':. Quote: With the increased speed it was necessary for her to almost hop and in that split second she was separated from the ceiling. Every time her foot let the ceiling even for a moment she increased the chakra dramatically to pull her back to the ceiling and ground her once more. Sharp spikes in her chakra tested control already pushed to it's limits by extended periods of delicate release and control. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.1/10.:':. Quote: She spun faster and faster, and careful not to shift her balance she coiled in and shifted from a spread position to a more centered one. Shifting one leg twined down around the other her arms coming up over her head in a long slender line as she continued to spin. In an instant she set her other foot down and pulled up the leg that had held her for so very long. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.2/10.:':. Quote: The shift had been heart stopping even after all the little skips between floor and toe simply because it was different. But already she was relaxing again and beginning to enjoy herself. Lost in the movements she set one foot down and leaned until her body was folded against the leg holding her up and the other leg extended straight in the air. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.3/10.:':. Quote: Spinning, dancing and gliding she moved like water flowed across her own personal dance floor. She wondered as she did how much easier this would be on water, once she mastered the knack of it, since she would be able to jump and have gravity assist her rather then resist her. She dipped low relishing the feel of her body relaxed and reacting to her slightest whim without hesitation. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.4/10.:':. Quote: Bending and flowing she moved step to step like a scarf fluttering in the breeze. Eyes glowing with sweet relief she let herself rock back down the forepads of her feet. Lowering again until she stood flat footed on the ground she smiled and resisted the urge to jump and down in excitement since that would send her falling to the ground, a fate she had tried so very hard to avoid up until this point. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.5/10.:':. Quote: Sitting on the ceiling she once more stretched except now that her muscles were warm she went a whole lot farther with less effort. Twisting and moving in ways that would make strong men wince she stretched the physical limits of her body's flexibility. Finally done she stretched out along the length of the ceiling, just laying there. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.6/10.:':. Quote: Sera smiled her cheek against the smooth surface of the ceiling, as soon as she got home she was going to grab what she needed and head to the bathhouse. Once there she was going to soak until she didn't hurt anymore, a long process indeed. And then it was hope to bed and to rest, because as soon as she awoke it would be back to training. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.7/10.:':. Quote: She rolled onto her back and considered for a moment what might be in those scrolls. She knew her father had been an Onin when he had first passed to become a Chunin. But by the time he was a Jounin he had changed to a healer, and support member of a squad, she wondered how a medic would have fared so well as a hunter. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.8/10.:':. Quote: Whenever asked about his time as an Onin her father had become quite solemn and said, "It was a game of capture and destroy... Let's just say I was too good at at." After another long moment of silence he would turn to her and lay his hands on her shoulders, "I became a medic to save more live then I took. That is what I want for yo... to save lives, not take them." His hurt smile made her heart ache, "But to know one is to know the other... so I will just wish you to live a life you can proud of when you come to the end of it." .:':.Chakra Training.:':.9/10.:':. Quote: Sera finally got up and wobbled her way back down the floor, exhausted but accomplished. She was off to rest and relax and soon enough she would begin walking the path that her father before her had laid. She smiled, his knowledge would guide her in the choices that path would offer but in the end it was all up to her. .:':.Chakra Training.:':.10/10.:':.
