Blood Type: O+
Fav. Food: Stew (especially if it was made with leftover pot roast), hot chocolate

Hobbies:
- Vehicular Mechanics = Glyn loves tinkering with cars and trucks. He loves how they run, how their insides work, loves making 'em better and keeping 'em running. He prefers cars that don't look so...'spacey'; pick-up trucks and muscle cars are his favorites. He picked the hobby up from his Dad, who picked it up from his...|D; You get the idea.
Reading = Oddly enough, Glyn likes reading. Not just any books though. He loves heroic fantasy. The epic journeys, the awesome quests for what is right and true. And if the hero isn't all flowers and sunshine, even better! He's gotten more than a few odd looks that he just shrugs off when he walks into work reading.
Society for Creative Anachronism = Introduced to this right before Junior year in high school by a friend, Glyn actually rather likes it. They prize a lot of the things he was taught growing up (honor, being courteous, etc.), AND it was a hobby that helped him actually get into his English and History classes. He hasn't really developed much of a persona, still tinkering and toying, but he knows he'll be a Welsh fighter of some sort, and he just uses his own name...since it's Welsh anyways. Which leads into his next hobby...
Fighting = And not just any fighting. SCA Heavy Fighting. He gets dressed up in armor, grabs his PVC and padding and duct tape weapons, and makes his way to a fighter practice or tourney (in the case of the latter, he takes garb and a tent and food and such as well). It's fast-paced, honor is highly prized, and if someone 'rhinos' (doesn't call that they've actually been hit)...he can hit 'em hard enough that the marshalls can hear it. Example of Heavy Fighting.
Virtues:
- Beer for my Horses (The Upside) = Glyn is one of the 'good ol' boys'. You know, the one you can count on to do what's right and stand up for the ones who can't stand up for themselves. He may get into a few fights, and be a complete smartass cynic, but he'd never steal, lie, cheat, force sex, pillage, loot...those sort of things. He also believes strongly that if you've done something wrong, you have to pay a fair price, and if you're innocent...well, why the hell are you getting crap, point him in the right direction!
I'll get the door. = Glyn was raised to respect and be protective of the 'fairer sex'. Around most women, he'll curb his cussing, put on his nice manners, and glare at any guys (or not-lady girls) who are lewd and rude around them. He'll also turn rather helpful, carrying heavier things, opening doors, etc. Mind, he'll probably look grumpy doing it, but he'll do it, and won't actually complain...then tip his hat (if he's wearing one, he'll make the motion if he's not) and continue on his way. If there's a girl that needs some help fending off a drunk idiot (or just an idiot, or a youma), Glyn'll step in and help the lady. This change in attitude also extends to older folks who don't look like they'll berate him for helping, and kids. He's also gotten in trouble MORE than a few times by feminists and independent women who think he's being a sexist pig who thinks they're weak. When he encounters those women, he will back off. And if they're people he's supposed to deal with regularly, he'll remember the face so he doesn't make the same mistake again.
Yeah, I'm wearing a pink shirt. Your point? = Glyn is a self-confident guy. He knows who he is, what he is (straight, sorry guys), and is comfy in his own skin. Pink? He has no issues with it, it's just another color. Hell, used to be associated with boys, not girls! He's the sort of guy who'll listen to someone rag about the pink shirt his sister gave him for his birthday, try to call him a gay sissy trying to compensate for something, etc, etc...then shrug, look at the bartender, and say he won the bet for how many idiots would insult him that night. This confidence isn't just in his appearance, either. It reflects in the way he carries himself, and the way he talks. When he opens his mouth, it generally becomes obvious he's not the sort of weak-willed individual that can be swayed easily. And he's not phased being called a 'jerk' or 'b*****d'. He has no illusions about who and what he is...and he's all good with it.
Flaws:
- Beer for my Horses (The Downside) = Yes, Glyn is a good guy. However...he doesn't always follow the 'rules'. What's 'right' doesn't always cross with what's 'proper', and Glyn doesn't believe in giving the wicked time to gloat. He never starts a fight if he doesn't think it worth the consequences but...when he thinks the consequences worth it, there will be hell to pay. So far, he's managed to stay out of TOO much trouble in his adult life for the simple fact his work keeps him busy enough and he hasn't been given a chance to go after someone that's done something heinous enough to warrant more than a black eye and a few bruises...but when he was still a minor, he did put a guy into the hospital for 'forcing' several girls in the school. And yes, he did his community service QUITE happily.
I didn't mean it that way! = Glyn is not the most...eloquent of men. And though he really does his best to not say crass or rude things around girls, and tries to be polite...half the time he ends up putting his foot in his mouth. It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't combined with some unintentional sexism. He was raised to be protective of girls, and to treat them like ladies...and there's a LOT of girls that take offense to that! He learned REAL quick in school that some girls were definitely NOT ladies!
Y'know...Just shut up. = Glyn does not have much respect for the world at current. He's watched the justice system release rapist and child molesters, he's seen bullying go unpunished, and he sees the scorn people have for those who would defend their homes, lives, and country. And really...he doesn't like dealing with it. ESPECIALLY when people start whining about 'oh I got dumped because I'm too high-maintenance' or 'oh I can't buy that new XBox game because they ran out at the store'. So...Glyn tends to be a jerk most of the time. His language is crude, his comments sharp, and he isn't beyond ignoring people. He doesn't try to be nice...until girls, children, or elderly get involved. And even then...if he finds them annoying, he will find some excuse to get away.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Eyes: Green, somewhat on the narrower side.
Hair: Dark blonde, kept very short (think Dean from Supernatural)
Face: Oval face, strong jaw. Definitely UK origin in his blood.
Clothes: Jeans, t-shirts, flannel shirts, button-up shirts over t-shirts or long-sleeved shirts, slacks, boots, sneakers; in darker or neutral colors...the guy generally ends up looking very 'working class' or 'farmboy'. Not that he really gives a s**t...he's comfy, and that's what matters. Though he can be coaxed into fancy duds for a special occasion.
