Edel was walking down the hallway that day, lost in her thoughts. The last Fright Music Club meeting hadn't been what she had expected....well, at least for her, she would have liked to hear some music that day. She had been in quite a slump lately; since the impromptu audition she had with Roch, Edel hadn't picked up her violin to play since. Nor had she since crafted, drawn or painted anything new. It felt weird, no, more than that. It was an inexplicable feeling. Perhaps the word for what the frost demon was currently feeling is simply – uninspired.
Of course this was nothing new for her, there were bouts of this sensation from time to time. She however, had least expected it to hit her just a few weeks into school, where she thought she would have gotten the most inspiration from. Edel let out a frustrated sigh and walked a few paces on before turning around and heading back to her dorm instead. Something, anything, to get her out of this rut.
There was a squeaking noise she heard as she turned the corner, Edel chose to assume that it was one of the common rats scuttling about the corridors but the noise simply grew louder and louder. A slightly befuddled look spread across the ghoul's face as she eyes scanned the vicinity to see where it might be coming from. Something small and black darted across the hallway and headed towards her and Edel bent down to take a closer look. It was a mouse, for sure, but the frost demon was certain she had seen this particular one somewhere before.
