Cold, Rainy Afternoon, June 26th, 2012. Port Island Station, Back Alley, Port Island.
The peaceful morning passes and an ominous cloud falls upon the city of Iwatodai; the demons of the Tachibana-Hakushaku Clan have arrived. Summoned forth from their headquarters in the Northwestern Edge of Kyushu by the office of the Shogun himself, they descend upon the town to uphold their antiquated oath to the leader of the country of Japan and unleash their strength upon his enemies. Fueled by their demonic power and their unwavering loyalty to the Head of their Clan, they come to settle an old score...amongst many others.
But their mission is not just any, and their foes are as dangerous as they are. Demon against demon, man against man, two armies aware of the other move to meet in the oft-visited, late night district in the growing city of Iwatodai for a battle that will shake the underground and the foundations upon which each of the two clans stand. Those who are caught in the crossfire will receive no mercy...those who do not fight will almost certainly die.
The snakes have been lured out of their hole...and together, they and the demons shall come and play.
Time stands still! Snakes v. Demons! Will the charmers come to regret agitating their prey?

The lioness' eyes tracked each movement in the shadows and the light as she walked, her nostrils slightly flared as she breathed deep and her hairs standing on end. Alert and on the hunt, she knew each step had to be taken with care. She had hunted a snake before, a scaly creature that dragged its belly along the ground; as a curious cub she hadn't know what action the reptile would take and pursued it like she would any other prey by skulking low to the ground and leaping at it. Had young Jin known that when cornered, the beast would lunge at her she would have taken greater care to avoid the unpleasant experience. Snakes had fangs and they hurt, they lunged for soft places and pierced deep, but in that sense they made themselves vulnerable. She would dispose of these enemies to the Shogun the way she had done to that snake. There had been no mercy in her kill and the creature that had dared to bite her had been left a bloody mess of its former self.
A shiver ran through her spine and her lips parted a little to show sharp teeth in a deadly smile. Her usual lazy demeanor was gone, the cold and the rain chasing away her usual sunny nature, but leaving the remnants of the glow under her dark skin. Jin remained alert, but took a little less caution in her steps and eased herself into a slightly more relaxed stance. The blood lust was beginning to burn in her veins and her desire to prove herself useful to her lord was growing. This victory would not just be for him, but for her pride – it would be a victory, the lioness could not afford to lose. She could not afford to lose her life on this battlefield, the fate of her clan rested on her shoulders and without her to keep them together they would fall into chaos again; the already dying clan would cease to exist. The demoness refused to let her people die out, she was too proud for that and cared too deeply those under her care. A moment of silence, a quick prayer for the safety of her allies and for a fight that would leave her satisfied and she was ready. ”Come out, come out, where ever you are,” Jin called to the shadows, this was a game of cat and mouse now. The question was who really was the hunter?

 Ray Hale'Bout time. Ray was curling in the shadows with her amber eyes focusing on the woman that was stalking through the area, all the while grinning as she kept her hands in the pockets of her red jacket. The chick was just creeping around the area, huh? Thinking that she'd be able to get the better of Zippo here by just walking around out in the open with eyes shifting about? No way... no way was that going to be working, Ray grinning from ear to ear with the very excitement that it was she who Ray was going to burn and rip apart. Oh so very easy right now while Ray kept herself still in the far back of the area of the Back Alley. Her fingers rubbed together, she knew she had to work fast, she knew that she had to predict exactly where this flea was going to be moving. Quietly, quickly, she brought about two molotov cocktails at the read then used her own demonic power to light up the fires. The light gave her away, Jin would see it at an instant. But it didn't stay in pone place for long. Jin would suddenly notice these lights coming right towards her and crashing at her feet on both sides of her with fires bursting. Ray wasn't going to let her jump away, not when she took control of these chaotic movements to control and try to engulf and devour Jin in just one go. Merciless flames, yes! Devastating and once small fires suddenly becoming that of a terrible inferno! Come out, come out! Jin said. Come out, come out wherever you are, said that demon! Well here she is! Light. Two pin points of light in one area and her prey was exposed. Jin's eyes slid over to the light, her fingers curling and mimicking claws. There wasn't much time to evaluate the woman, a wraith, a rat more than a snake, as the light came spiraling towards the lioness. A crash of glass at her feet, flames licking and dancing in the sudden rain of glass shards and fire. The harsh smell of gasoline assaulted the lioness in one fell swoop. A surprised roar issued from the dark skinned woman as she stumbled back. Her skin stung from the flames, the pain muted by adrenaline as her skin quickly colored red. The flames danced around her with no sign of burning out soon, peering through her arms she looked to the direction she'd spotted the light. So her opponent played this way, that was just fine – fire would not stop the demon; she was earth, she was rock and she would smoother the fire of this woman before her. First she had to get out from this inferno, second she had to attack; crouching, she felt the tension build in her legs. 'Leap now,' she silently commanded herself. Obeying the command with a growl in the back of her throat, the lioness leaped from the flames. The smell of singed flesh and fabric hitting her from under the gasoline stench. No time to sit and lick her wounds, now was the time for action. “What an entrance,” Jin mocked, drawing her bagh nagh. “I thank you for the dramatics.” She wanted this woman's blood more than ever now, her eyes were narrowed as she drew her element to her. Her golden claws thrummed with earth energy as she began to stalk the alley ground, there was a right moment to leap, a right moment to attack and she had to take care in choosing it.Quote: Jin uses Earth Killer: Imbues weapon with Earth element for 10 posts

Ray HaleRay took the time to light up a cigarette and have a puff of smoke to blow towards Jin's direction as she kept on grinning, the light of the cancerous stick showing some features of her face under the red hood as the Orochi member stared with some amusement towards the demon. She could only shrug at the mockery, only grin at the dramatics, mostly because she knew that what she did to Jin hurt like a b***h. Ray quirked a brow once she saw the claws being engulfed with some sort of earthly power, her amber eyes trailing back over towards the lioness. "Ooh, nice prop." she said to the demon, Ray just staring at her with a mocking grin as she saw that the demon was preparing for a great strike with those flames going around behind her. Yes... Right behind her. Was that lion demon really all that worth to look cool in front of the flames she just escaped from? Was she really worth to be silhouetted with such uncontrollable life raging behind her? The Portuguese Orochi says 'hell no'. Ray soon let her own demonic powers come into play and suddenly Jin would feel the flames engulfing her again in another Ragnarok from behind, the control of fire in Ray's hands. "Eat her up!" Ray would yell at the inferno, already lighting up another molotov with her lighter before smashing right in front of her to cause another wall of her favored element. Ray knew wonderfully well that this was a tight area, and it would just be pretty damn easy for her fires to get to Jin. It was actually annoying Ray a bit, but oh well! It was just great to see someone roasting. Ray wanting to take every advantage of this area as much as possible, wanting to use everything even the space itself to become a positive to her. Even the rain can't help her! Look at it helplessly trying to save their dear earthly friend from her fire! It's laughable, watching that wonderful gold and red mighty wall just turning the droplets into nothing but steam lines. "It can't be over just yet!" she yelled out.  Nora Keruberosu-TaihakuFinally it was time for war. Time to hunt down the snakes and make their lord proud. There was no way Nora was going to let one snake get away from him when he was sure that everyone else was doing the same.. He could hear the sounds of battle far away from where he was but the hound was certain they would be fine. The only thing the demon needed to focus on was finding his opponent, rip them apart, and then go hunt for some more. Though the rain was getting on his nerves since it made the area slippery and harder to keep one's footing in a fight. So because of this Nora had to get serious and use his senses to try and find whoever was hiding nearby. "Heh.. Even through all this rain I still smell a snake slithering around. Why not just come out and save me the trouble of hunting you down?" He called out, sniffing the air as he tried pinpointing the location of the enemy. There was no way he was going to let someone get the jump on him but he knew better than to get too cocky, not when so much was on the line. Quote: Actions: Animal Instinct: Apt. Pupil, Sharp Student

"A puppy demon? Is that all your clan can muster?" A cool voice asked. The ground shook a moment later as a man strolled out of the alleyway, hands in his pockets. "...You're not much in the way of prey, I suppose, but it might be fun to hear them weep for you." He lightly tapped the ground with his foot, and a shockwave shot towards Nora, followed almost immediately by a harder stomp that sent a burst of dirt erupting up, right towards Nora's chin. Standing well back, Rouga simply smiled just a bit, as if toying with the demon. "Let's get this over with quickly. Head of the Raion Clan A third crash of glass on the ground, shards of hot sharp glass and tongues of flame reached for the lioness. Heat grazed off her skin, and not the kind that was pleasant; this heat was nothing like the sunshine the big cat demon so enjoyed. No, this was a bubbling, unforgiving and irritating heat. “Enough of this!” the lioness roared. “I'm going to snuff you out, little flame!” Now this infant would pay for her actions, the well aged demon growled as she charged forward – her claws out stretched. She hadn't murdered her mother, a demon at least thrice her age, to be taken out but a little firebug that had grown too big for her breeches. It was bad enough that she would probably come away from this with burn scars, bad enough that she would wear the mark of another woman, the thought disgusted her and brought forth a snarl from between her lips.
No, she would sink her claws into this Orochi, she would grip her with her earth empowered golden claws and send the snake flying towards the apartment alley. There were plenty of spaces to launch off of there and choice spots to get above flames... lots of things to toss and smash, oh this would be good. Keeping her enemy close was choice, things were easier and more delightful that way. Through the flames Jin would leap, through the pain it would bring her – the pain would be nothing compared to the satisfaction of enemy blood on her face and hands. Nora Keruberosu-Taihaku 'Puppy!? Who the hell is he calling a puppy?!' Nora thought when he heard Rouga's insult. Being called a puppy was even more insulting than being called a dog. He was a hellhound damn it! Why couldn't people get that through their heads?! The demon was snapped out of his internal rant when the earth started to shake beneath his feet. Thanks to being snapped back into battle mode Nora was able to avoid the burst of earth directed at his chin but it did scrap the demon's cheek. "Don't get so cocky! I'm going to beat the stupid out of you because I'm not a damn puppy!!" So he rushed towards Rouga and swung his right fist right at his face, not caring that he was taking a big risk by closing the distance between them. All he cared about was beating up this guy to show him just how strong a puppy could be! Quote: Actions: Mighty Swing (Target:Rouga) [Medium Damage on 1 Foe]

Rouga grinned as he took the punch across his face, chuckling. "Oh, sorry. My bad. I just get so confused when I'm looking at someone so small. I'll get it right in the future, little kitty." He kicked out a moment later, bringing a big chunk of dirt with him as he lifted his foot and lashed out at Nora's chest. Of course, the shaking of the ground as he attacked didn't bother him any. Nope. His connection to the earth was solid enough that he could stroll casually during even the worst earthquake, but it had been known to annoy his enemies quite a bit. On the other hand, these were the great and powerful demons being sent to hunt down the Orichi? Seriously? He'd been hoping for some decent competition; a chance for a real slug-fest.  Xian Furude-Taihaku  On to the next victim not only did she burn with unending anger with the fact that her opponent for all the s**t he talked was such a coward, but her instincts as pack mother were calling he in this direction. From her point of view things weren't looking good for the one she normally addressed as 'Her Young' but no matter things were about to get a lot worse for the one that dared raise a hand against the Taihaku Clan, she had already cleared out one fool, even if he got away, she knew the man wouldn't think about coming back. She leaped down from her building vantage point. "Get... AWAY FROM HIM!" The wolf let out a howl that practically shook the very foundation of the buildings around them, not to mention shattering the glass around them. Broken glass, something was seeming familiar with that, it was almost like it was her second time dealing with the stuff today, no matter, didn't bother her much the first time and it wouldn't bother her this time. Nora Keruberosu-Taihaku Nora felt the wind being knocked out of him because of the hunk of earth being slammed into his chest. All he could think of was how in the world did that scrawny snake take his punching skill straight to the face and not even flinch. Something wasn't right, it wasn't like Rouga was make of rock or anything.. And for him to call him, the demon Nora, a kitten was far worse than being called a puppy! He wasn't small at all. 'Without that stupid parlor trick of making the earth shake that guy would be history by now.' The demon thought as he slowly got to his feet because of the earth's shaking. "You'll pay for that.." He growled but stopped when he heard an all to familiar voice..
Xian, the Pack Mother, had come to help him out. If she was here that meant she got rid of her enemy much faster than he thought or it ran away.. Though Nora couldn't help but feel like a mere puppy when someone had to literally come to his rescue. "Xian,.. stand aside! Let me do this! He's made this personal.." This man would soon learn how terrifying a hellhound could be.. and there would be no holding back.

The wave of twisted, confusing energy slammed into Rouga, shading his mind and taking over his body as it sunk its fangs deep into him, demonic power distorting his view of the world and making him behave in ways that, normally, he wouldn't. Rouga's body spasmed, as if trying to move, but much like he had just done to the little kitty, it seemed he was momentarily unable to do much of anything...Quote: Rouga's Actions:Confusion: 1/3 Rouga is confused! Ray HaleThere was one thing that was starting to annoy Ray and that was the lack of screaming that she was hearing, there was no loud cry that would pay offerings to the flames that ate at her skin and clothes. No just what was up with that?! What, was she too <********> good for pain? Was that it? She saw her coming, she heard her yelling out and Ray did not take that 'little flame' insult lightly. "******** you, cabra!!" She yelled out with her hand suddenly being engulfed by the flames and soon brought along the very fires from the flames of the molotov she unleashed. With the flea coming right towards her at full speed, Ray gave this the chance for her to unleash one more Ragnarok directly at her direction. There was no way that she could avoid it! No way! She'll end this! But Jin got her, she got her claw through the flames and took a merciless hold on Ray's shoulder. She felt the claws digging right through the jacket and the muscle of her shoulder, the snake suddenly sprinting back then running through the very fires past Jin just to get away from her. Ray turned around, holding at her bleeding shoulder with amber eyes crazed with anger. "You b***h!! You b***h! Cabra!! Cabra!!" she silenced herself, holding her shoulder tightly before grinning. <********> Those claws wretched out some chunk of her but she was still able to move it, Ray circling her arm around as waves of pain went through her but she still continued the action as if to get use to it. "It's good." she said suddenly. Just like that she was alright and over it. She stepped back then sprinted towards the large, basketball sized, space that was just ahead and went towards the apartment complex area. It was breather time.

Head of the Raion Clan Fire. God damn fire again, eating away at her skin and clothes. Jin was sick of it already and it was getting harder and harder to ignore the radiating pain in her body. The damaged flesh tugged and pulled with her movements, tearing and stretching in ways that made a cry want to break in the back of the lionesses throat. Still she fought, pushing the cry back and settling on an angered growl. She'd felt the little snakes skin give way under her claws, she'd relished the way the meat tore free and fresh blood stained her golden weapon. Her inner beast positively purred at the fact that she had finally made a mark on her opponent, Ray's curses only falling on her ears like sweet music. It was not done yet though, as there was still blood to be won here and this damage was only slowing the demon down. The flames were around her again as the snake fled to more open space and a soft kind of whine broke from the lioness. Her pride stung at the quiet noise as she pulled herself forward and out of the inferno, but it was all the more reason to make the fire bug pay for her action. First though she needed to prepare herself for round two, raising her hands she relaxed her limbs and breathed deeply through her nose. 'Focus,' Jin silently chided herself as she called forth a gentle energy. A smoke-like golden light rose from the base of her feet and slowly wound its way up her body until she was consumed in the natural color of her aura. The smoke was warm on her skin, like a gentle afternoon sun that caressed her burns. As the golden smoke dissipated, the lioness was left with fewer wounds and patches of new pink skin. “Run while you can Little Flame, I'm hot on your trail,” Jin growled feeling refreshed. With her pain lessened, the demoness took off after the Orochi member. The alley was gifted with an abundance of space here, no doubt due to the apartment it cradled and what looked like establishments in the distance. More space was good, there certainly were more things to take advantage of in this area – things to climb and throw... Enough space to use her specialty move, oh yes, this was good – this was real good. Her steps were slower as she was on high alert, her eyes locked on the snake while her other senses remained aware of the area – time to get back to the game. Round two. Ding.
