"Let go of me," the brunette cried as the blonde man gripped onto her wrist tightly, his other hand pinning her shoulder against the dirty brick wall of alleyway.

"Just hush hush, little lady," Lieutenant Osumilite whispered as he began to drain the woman's energy. Slowly she became less and less resistant until her eyes rolled up into the backside of her head and her body flopped to the floor like a sack of vegetables. The tall agent of the Negaverse stood over her unconscious body, examining her as he tsk-tsk'd away. "The pretty ones are always so loud."

He crouched down and picked up the woman's purse, rising again as he shuffled through it for some loose cash. A small tingle rose up the back of his neck - he wasn't alone.

He hurriedly continued to rummage through her purse as the woman groaned on the floor, seemingly not drained of enough energy.

"Quiet," he said frantically as he dug through her purse and kicked her softly to keep her down. Danger was approaching.

The Page of Earth hadn't been home long, and he didn't plan on staying for too long. There were people in space that needed his help, and he had an obligation to them now, as well as to Virgo and the other Zodiac soldiers, that he had to fulfill. He was just coming home to pick up supplies.

Of course, things never went as planned.

First he had run into Kyndall, and that had been more difficult than he could have imagined previously. She was so upset, and why shouldn't she be? Her daughter was missing. The difficult part for Camelot, or rather Tony, was knowing that her daughter was actually in space, injured at that, and without a way to come home. But he couldn't have told her any of that. He had to sit there and lie, tell her he had faith she would come home and try to assure without giving himself away that he almost knew for a fact that she hadn't died.

But that didn't mean she wouldn't. That didn't mean she would ever find a way back from the Surrounding.

other instincts came into play as well, now that he was back and the sun had set. He told himself he would patrol for an hour or so, just to make sure things weren't getting too out of hand. Like in the library, when he was gone for an extended period, and the check ins and resorts got well backed up without him. As if youma functioned in the same way.

He heard a scream and was glad he had all but tricked himself into this patrol. He leaped from the roof he had been perched on, landing heavily on a newly healed leg. It felt good to be able to move again, with only a trace of a limp that would never fully heal.

"The Negaverse isn't paying as well as it used to, I see," he said, shield raised. He had his crystal with him, but he had never used it in battle before and, for his part, didn't know yet that it could be used for such a thing.

His expression was very serious as he approached, shield at the ready, green eyes locking on the man. He was older than Camelot was used to seeing, but perhaps not a rival for his own age. Still, not a teenager. that was different.

"Perhaps you should leave her be, back away from her, and drop her purse while you're at it."

Osumilite turned to the voice and grinned with delight. His opponent looked to be older than him for a change. For once in this secret war in Destiny City he had encountered an enemy that wasn't half his age. He didn't think that would be possible, much less find someone who is older!

"Very well, I'm just about done here anyways," he grabbed on to what money he could from the purse, then dropped the bag to the floor, just as instructed - only with money still in hand. He pocketed the cash and took a step closer to the man. His exit from the alleyway was apparently being blocked by him. "Can you step aside please? I have somewhere else to be and I don't want to have to kick your a** just to get by. Beating the elderly is supposedly immoral and that jazz."

Camelot tried his best not to visibly wince. Why was it that everyone felt compelled to insult him about his age? Be it on purpose or by accident, he could never escape an encounter, particularly not while powered up, with someone taking a jab. And this felt particularly unfair, as the man standing before him could not have been that much younger than him.

Maybe he could, but he was still very much an adult, and very much older than the teenage fighters they would often encounter. That should have put them in the same boat, not opened it up for this nega to mock Camelot.

He frowned.

"I'm not leaving, I'm afraid. You'll just go out and hurt another person. Can't you see the harm you're causing? And taking their money on top of it! I thought the Negaverse were supposed to be proud soldiers, fighting for their planet, not common street thugs."

Camelot watched Osumilite carefully, hoping to avoid a fight. He had just healed, after all, and he really didn't need any more injuries dragging him down. At least he could go back to Virgo's outpost and maybe mooch off the magic a bit more, if he did get hurt. But he would still like to avoid it.

Anyway, he never chose to fight for the sake of it. If they could stick to talking, so much the better for him. Even if he was stinging about being called elderly, and wanted to prove that he very much wasn't.

"Puh-leeze," he said with exaggeration as he started slowly approach the man. He took slow but large steps with every few words he spoke. "There is nothing about me that is 'common', as you put it. Perhaps you've heard of me: Lieutenant Osumilite. I'm great - greater than the common bunch, greater than her, greater than you and that's for damn sure."

By this point, Osumilite was only several feet away from the other man. He summoned his weapon into his hand and fiddled around with it between his fingers.

"Now, will you step aside or do things have to get ugly?" he taunted.
PostPosted: Wed Sep 28, 2011 7:22 pm

Camelot watched him with an innocent, blank expression.

"No, I've never heard of you. I think your ego far precedes your actual reputation. But that's alright. That's very... common... in the negaverse, I think." He nodded his head with a slightly condescending air about him. Not that he had any right to it, but something about Osumilite's attitude dictated the attitude Camelot needed to respond to.

It was a part of his old self, as he called it, when he was young and reckless and challenged the world. An attitude his son had inherited, and one that had never died in the elder Darrow.

His eyes flickered to the item the Nega was holding.

A microphone?

"I'm not going anywhere, and you're not either. Not until you explain to me just why you've done this, and why you think I should let you go on doing this. Don't you understand that there are those of us who would just as soon share this planet then give it to you? You don't have to gather all this energy for this war. There must be another way."

And he was off, doing his best to try and talk some sense into the chaos side of the war. One day, it might actually work. But probably not today.

"I don't want the planet," he said. It was a half-truth. World power? It was certainly something of his dreams, but not in an evil or oppressive way that the man seemed to be implying. "What I want - what the Negaverse wants - is for your kind to leave this planet before you destroy it. The Senshi had planets to return home to, but what happened to them? Why don't they return? They were destroyed. Shattered. Ruined. The Negaverse refuses to let that happen again, but you and your Senshi insist that they are constantly doing the right thing. You're blinded. You're a fool."

He became increasingly frustrated as he spoke to the point of being incapable of withholding his rage. It was clear that the man wasn't going to back down or step aside. He needed to take action. Which is precisely why he raised the microphone high over his head and swiftly swept it down toward the top of the man's shoulder, aiming for where the shoulder meets the neck.

"I'm not a senshi," the knight countered. "My name is Camelot, page of Earth. I am from here. I was born here, and my power stems from here. This is my planet just as much as it is yours, except I'm not as selfish as you guys seem to be."

He frowned.

"In truth, who knows if you're on my planet?" He didn't, and it was a dangerous bluff, as he had no idea about the history of the Negaverse, the history of the war and with the senshi. He didn't even know the history of the knights, his own 'kind'. But he did know this was his planet.

"I don't want either of you leave. I want you to live, in peace. You're throwing away your life, the lives of others, of teenagers and kids! For what? A war you were pulled into. You weren't born like that, were you? And the senshi were awakened to fight. I was awakened to do something, if not fight. This doesn't need to happen."

He would have gone on in his lecture, the two basically talking over one another, but a microphone swinging at him distracted him from his tirade. He hadn't realized how angry he had gotten until his shield flashed up faster than he was used to, then he could think. Instinct? Was he getting fighter's instincts now?

"Stop! We don't have to fight!" He yelled, splinters of his shield splitting off in random directions from the impact, which jarred his arm.

"Don't you understand that we are recruited in order to defend ourselves from you and your Senshi?" he shouted over the Knight, his microphone pressed against the shield. "Your Senshi are the ones recruiting children - putting their lives at danger! Holding so little regard for human life! Brainwashing them into thinking they are acting noble!"

With his microphone still stuck in the man's shield, Osumilite rose a leg and attempted to kick the older man in the abdomen to injure him - or at the very least knock him back a bit to clear the way for an escape from the alleyway.

"And they're awakened to defend themselves against you! The cycle won't end until someone breaks it!"

Camelot aimed to do just that.

Of course, his nobility was getting in the way of his fighting. He barely had time to see the leg coming at him, much less get out of the way. When it connected, though, his arms reacted faster than his mind did. He did his best to catch the leg, see if he could wrench it or knock the nega off his feet.

And, of course, all the while he needed to keep talking.

"What is this going to solve, all this pointless fighting and killing? And why drag civilians into it, who are helpless to defend themselves against you and all this? You claim you're the victims, and the Senshi are making you the bad guys. Seems you're perpetuating that idea just fine!"

"We're not the bad guys!" he screamed, his ankle caught by the older man. He was in an awkward, uncomfortable position with one leg being raised and held, standing on the other leg for support. "We drain this energy because we have to in order to defend ourselves and this planet from your kind!"

With that, he used the leg he was standing on to spring upwards, hoping to leap over the man grabbing his other foot, and hopefully force him to release the leg, otherwise use his chest as a springboard with that foot.

Camelot seemed to be striking nerves, in a metaphorical sense, but metaphors didn't help too much in a hand to hand fight. He watched as the Lieutenant struggled to free his leg, not realizing this move, keeping a kick hostage, was something his own senshi son had used before.

They were more alike then they knew, it seemed. In many ways.

But metaphors, at the moment, weren't helping him when there were literal nerves being struck. Painfully. Grunting when the man's foot connected with his chest, the chain mail doing little to lessen a blunt blow like that, he stumbled backwards and released Osumilite, letting him bounce away.

He put his hand to his chest, but managed to keep his footing.

"But don't you see you wouldn't have to defend this planet if you sought a different way? You need to end this fighting! And for the last time, I am not a senshi, or anyone's 'kind'!"

Lieutenant Osumilite stumbled backwards, falling to his a** in the alleyway as his foot was freed from the Page. There was a soft splash as he fell into a shallow puddle of murky rainwater, his suit pants quickly drenched. It was a good thing he didn't have to take these uniforms in for dry cleaning. He picked himself off the floor as quickly as he could, not wanting the other man to have any advantage in the battle.

"If the Senshi want peace so badly, then they should return to the planets from which they came," Osumilite spat back. "As for you, I don't care what you are. You are either with us or against us."

He did not attack, still catching his breath, but his body remained tense and ready for action.
PostPosted: Thu Oct 06, 2011 10:32 am

Camelot was breathing slowly, an effort to regain himself after being kicked in the chest, his hand lifted in some kind of protective stance before his chest. Not that it would do much, but it was instinct, and he vaguely wondered why people thought holding their hands over things that hurt would help in any way.

The idea that it would not failed to stop him, though.

Eyes shifting back to the Negaverse Lieutenant, Camelot shook his head slowly. Was there a way to get through to him that fell short of bashing his face in? Not that the knight thought himself particularly adept at such things, but fights were fights. Once they started, it was hard to get out of them.

"I'm not with you, or against you, and the sooner you understand that, the better. I am fighting only to end this war, and I don't want to fight you. This planet belongs to us, all of us. If I'm willing to share it, why aren't you?"

Maybe if he could charge him, maybe tackle him and pin him. If that counted as 'losing' the fight, maybe he would be more inclined to listen, if only to get himself freed. Camelot wasn't sure, but he ducked low and charged, using himself as a battering ram of sorts.

"It isn't that I don't want to share it; it isn't that I don't want peace," he spat back. "But I cannot trust that the Senshi want the same. I cannot trust that the Senshi want anything more than domination over this planet after the loss of their own planets, and once they take over they will destroy it leaving Earth just another planet in their galactic path of destruction. How can you be so naive and trust the Senshi?"

As soon as he finished, Camelot had started to charge towards him, ducked low. This was his chance. Osumilite leapt forward, leaping over Camelot's head and made his exit out of the alleyway. He stumbled a few steps as he landed in the middle of the street, dodging a speeding car by just inches.

"You're fighting on the wrong side!" he shouted from the street. He was free now, out of the alley with the victims' energy and cash still in his possession. He had no intention of sticking around much longer. "You may not see it today, old man, but you'll see it one day!"

With that, the blonde lieutenant turned swiftly and leapt to the roof of another building, hopping from rooftop to rooftop to make his escape.
