Red quite liked the Student Council’s chambers. She ran a hand along the polished surface of the president’s chair at the head of the table, marveling at it. This is what she had missed out on when she was a student: the plush, comfortable room that spoke of high class and prosperity. It was no wonder where a majority of the Student Council fundraisers went long ago: the Council of the past had made sure that the present Council would be able to work in luxury.

No doubt that the current Student Council would come in and change things to suit their taste. It was their lounge; therefore they had the right to do with it as they pleased. If they decided to burn it down then they could sit amongst the ashes -- now that was an entertaining Council to watch.

The werewolf grinned at the memory, her smile fading as she glanced at the clock. It was nearly time for the meeting with both the Student Council and the Horsemen. She had left notes summoning them on their dormroom doors; the invitation for the horsemen was slid beneath their co-ed bathroom territory. Now it was just a question of who would show up.

It had been several days after her public... dispute with Arel, the school’s secretary. She had already heard the whispers and rumors concerning them, the distrustful glances thrown her way. Red attacked Arel suddenly. Red killed two students. Red was dangerous. It would not surprise her if none of the Student Council or Horsemen showed up.

A pity, then -- but it would be their loss, Red reasoned as she shuffled through the papers before her. There was nothing to do besides wait and see.

Red was dangerous. That was not going to stop the Student Council from showing up. If anything, that was exactly why Riley was opening that door and walking into that room exactly on time. She wasn't frightened of the professor. She was frightened of what her actions meant. Rather, she was frightened of not knowing, and she was here to fix that.

Riley had never been in the Student Council chambers before. Honestly, she didn't know one existed until she was invited to it. Neither did she realize that it was as posh as the scene she had just walked into. It stopped her momentarily, giving her a chance to take it in, before leaving the door open for her fellow colleagues and walking straight up to the professor.

Good evening, Professor Red. Riley's voice sounded flat and professional. Businesslike, even. That was what she was here for, after all. Business.

Cymbeline was among the first to arrive, having nothing much to do in the horseman lair other than kick at the drapes and laugh at the dust motes that lurked in the darkest corners. Such threatening little things, the center of their own, dusty world, and yet so inconsequential to everyone else... The heir would be more concerned if the things sprouted little legs and began to crawl around the carpet like the worlds smallest corpses, like flies with their wings plucked off. Or toothless alligators in miniature...

Compared to Riley's entrance, the horsewoman walked in with little concern for her company, and put her hands on her bony hips to examine the room. "Where is it?" She asked, her tone part question and part demand. When no answer presented itself immediately she cocked her head and strolled over to the nearest chair. "Ridiculous. No, just ridiculous."

Her glance shifted from Riley to Red. "Don't you agree?"

The horsemen were afraid of very few things. Their mental capacity for understanding Fear spanned only to what Halloweentown taught -- it was their power, their life force, and they eagerly and greedily played with it, manipulating it to suit their needs. Even more so, now that they had been released from the island, back into a nearly endless reservoir of energy that seemed to both temper and compound their insanity. But fear, real fear, from which the energy received its name, they lacked almost completely. Whether due to their competitive, power-hungry natures or simply because after being trapped on an island where the occupants were looking to turn you into a weapon, thereby enslaving you for all eternity, things just didn't scare you anymore, it was hard to tell. At any rate, although Red's display had been shocking, it was likely any of the horsemen would be hard pressed to be more than intrigued. Certainly, it would not keep them away. Most certainly not when the student council's lair was some new hide-away for them to explore. And so pretty, too.

It was likely this latter reason that Eris, too, was there quite early, certainly for her. As a rule, she tended to be fashionably late to the party, and dared anyone to try to complain about it, but for this she would make the exception. The sorrel-haired horsemen followed Famine closely as she walked into the room, red satin dress sliding slickly over over the floor as she walked, black heels clicking like tiny horses' hooves before they met carpet. For the most part, she followed Cymbeline's example, clearly unconcerned by the happenings or the seriousness of the meeting. Instead, warm brown eyes flicked to the ceiling, lazily drawing around the room to take it in, sauntering over to one of the elegant, plush chairs, only to bypass it entirely, her hands sliding over the table's smooth, glassy surface. She seemed completely oblivious to the other occupants in the room, taking her time to take in the objects, although for a second something seemed to spark her attention, her head lifting slightly, suddenly alert, eyes flicking to a corner. But a moment later she had relaxed, letting the air settle after Cymbeline's question before she answered, her voice a silky purr.

"It's under the floor boards, Cymi~" she replied, not even bothering to turn around.

After finding the note by the door in his room, Jericho had made his way over towards the lounge to see what this was all about. He was wary, to say in the least. While he had already been carted off to the office before things got really crazy that one day, he still heard the stories of what happened.

Stepping on in, he paused as he saw four girls already inside; Red, Riley, and two of the horsewomen. The one aside from Cymbelline was one he did not really recognize. She must be have been the rider for War in that case. He wondered if she was just as crazy as the other two he had encountered. So far it seemed that Invictus was the most sane of the group.. and that was saying a bit.

Frowning, he eyed both her and Famine a little critically before making his way over towards Riley.

"Hey," he greeted.

Shehk's body was still cold, even days later. There was a certain paranoia that was held to her that no other's present could really claim to have had - she had been killed by the very professor that had asked for them to come and meet with her. It was a certain skittishness that showed when she looked to Red as she entered into the room. A part of her tried to remain assertive - she held her head tall, but her tail held none of the height it had days previous while she'd tried to herd her classmates out of the fray of the hallway.

Her stupid, foolish classmates. Had she 'died' for them when they had done nothing to help themselves?

None the less, she took a deep breath and stepped in. She even nodded to Red upon entry. "Professor." she greeted with one word - one word that was laced with a certain fear to it. She wouldn't deny that she'd made a point to fully avoid the Boogeyman for the last couple of days. Then again, the Pricolici hadn't gone many places in that time. She'd spent it all trying to get the feeling back in her fingers.

There was a certain amount of purposeful distance kept between herself and Red - Shehk respected the werewolf's power. Hell, she wanted it herself, but she was afraid that any motion too sudden would be bad.

========

Invictus would have balked at the idea of actually fearing the wolf-woman. She was powerful, perhaps, but even one who could harm them didn't truly instill fear within Conquest. He regarded them simply as a different breed of beast. He nodded to those present when he entered, once to Riley, then a far more respectful bow of the head to the horsewomen, then a far lighter nod to Red, Jericho and the Pricolici with the flight-y posture.

"Ladies." he greeted with one word, his face remaining neutral, though a glance to Jericho garnered an addendum to his initial greeting as well; "Sir.". He took a moment to regard the room - perhaps for things he could use as a weapon if the moment called for it, or perhaps because it would be knowledge he'd put aside for his own purposes later. Maybe both. Invictus looked to Eris when she answered Cymbeline's inquiry about where 'it' was, before looking to Famine in turn, almost seeming to be amused by the exchange. At least, up until his attention turned to dusting his sleeves off.

Junko was never really a fan of Red. The professor intimidated her, made her want to scramble into the nearest corner quiver with terror. It didn't help that she'd heard whispers of her fight with Arel, that just made her all the more terrifying for Junko. But it was a new year, and now she was being summoned as a representative on student council. You can do this, Junko! You're not just going to be some whiny little scared crybaby! Nope! No sir! She got to the door and stopped just outside of it, eyes trained on the knob in front of her. She heard voices inside. She wasn't the first to arrive, but no one had noticed she was outside the door just yet.

..Was it too late to turn back? She glanced around, swallowing hard when she noticed there were too many students--and horsemen?!--around for her to just escape like this never happened. Well, great. s**t. Um. Okay. She took a deep breath and stepped in, waving nervously to Riley and Jericho and Shehk. "Hey everyone. Hello, Red. Hi--" She stopped and stared at Cymbeline. The rest of the horsemen she had no opinion on, she didn't recognize any of them, but Cymbeline...she remembered her. She definitely remembered her. They were supposed to trust these horsemen but it was just so hard when the only thing she knew about them was this particular one made so many of them fall to their deaths right before her eyes.

Clearing her throat, Junko bent a little to give the two horse..women a respectable little bow in greeting. "Hello."

Christof was excited about this first Council meeting, already they had been discussing the future for events and so on, but the secret chamber was excitingly plush and ornate... he immediately felt out of place, even as he quietly stalked behind Riley on their way in, falling back to hover near the door as everyone entered and greeted each other. Notebook at the ready, he was ready for whatever they would demand of him.

He was still baffled as to what had gone on between Red and Arel, having been... escorted away... early on. His face reddened at the thought of it. In trouble for just performing some simple Mad Science? Unfathomable. There was certainly something more at work there, but he had as of yet found out exactly what. Even so, he gave the professor a polite bow of his head as he shuffled into proper Igorly position.

At the sight of Shehk, his face went red, eyes immediately drifting elsewhere.

Aisa was the last to arrive-- that was nothing new. The horsemen seemed to take turns in doing that often, a paper clenched in Aisa's hand. A few steps into the room revealed a rather puzzled heir, holding the edge of the paper by the tip of her fingers, as if it was comparable to a dirty rag. She glanced at the paper. Then at the occupants of the room. It appeared that the paper was an invitation to a party .. Strange. It had such plain lettering for a celebration.

Especially if all four horsemen were here. Professor Red too. Students! Each student received a brief glance, lingering on Shehk. Her coloring .. It reminded her of one of the palest tones of death. Her eyes stopped on Junko next .. Her eyes flicked .. in recognition? Or something interested her. A quick motion of a familiar pair of small hands caught her dull amethysts-- "Vicky, what's that on you? Did someone shed on you?" Aisa asked, although her tone, conversely, held little concern.

A female werewolf, perhaps?

Having spent so long occupying the throne in the co-ed washroom, these chairs in the student council office, as lavish as they were, were nothing in comparison. Bypassing the chairs like the heir of War, Aisa stopped before the clock instead. She stared at it critically, eyebrows furrowing as she discerned there was something decidedly wrong with it.

"Why is your clock backwards?"

Only a small inclination of her head in acknowledgment was the only reply Red gave to the students that greeted her. The horsemen were ignored completely; Like Leader, like Heir, she mused to herself as she glanced at them. She was not expecting them to show up, much less remain in the bathrooms they so claimed. Did they honestly like the place that much? It was beyond Red’s reasoning.

She ignored the question the Death Horsewoman asked, having a harder time ignoring the fact that they showed more interest in the room than the meeting at hand. “Council,” she began, “and Horsemen. I summoned you here to discuss something important. Whether or not you actually do something about it is not my concern.”

“Amityville itself is being threatened. I’m sure I do not need to explain this?” Red reached under her cloak and pulled out a pendant, slapping it down onto the council table in front of her.

“Their numbers are growing. Amityville students need to go stronger and learn how to protect themselves. Therefore, it is to Amityville’s benefit that such... delinquents were elected to the Student Council.” She gave a pointed look towards Riley, Christof, and Jericho, her gaze still on the dragon as she held up a piece of paper with a familiar symbol on it.

“Get this ready to go. At least twenty-five students will need to go through this. Other schools have their own training programs; it is none of our concern to assist them when they are helping themselves. I am currently in discussions with the Bogeymen in charge of the battling licensing to re-open our own Gym for battling. As it turns out, they were not too pleased with our... field trip last year into Chirstmastown.”

Red was still bitter about that.

“Next. The rest of you,” she turned to address the other members of the Student Council, “Your... collective... habits of getting into trouble may serve you well; it’s an unseen benefit for Amityville.” Her gaze swept the students again. “You will need all your skill and cunning soon. Our next field trip takes place in a week. It is your job as the Student Council to assist and make sure that the students are ready for it. Not everyone will go, as it will be to a Bogeyman’s training grounds.”

“The students of Amityville,” she added, “Are woefully under-prepared. Do I even need to bring up what happened when we visited the Isle? Get in, get out -- that was the plan. Instead...” She shook her head. “Our old enemy is back, and more dangerous than ever. Prepare your fellow students; I will not have any deaths next time.” Her last sentence was spoken with a growl as she slammed her fist onto the table, causing the entire thing to shudder despite the thick wood it was built with.

“Horsemen,” Red snapped, turning to face them. “You have your own role, should you deign to accept it. Speak with me later should you be interested. I have no wish to waste words on any of you.”

“Riley, Christof, Jericho.” She turned her attention back to the Student Council, focusing on those three. “Do any of you recognize this?”

The object that was thrown on the table could barely be recognized as the former Sloombot, the camera thoroughly smashed on it. “If I catch any one of you spying again, it will be double detention. As it is, each of you must report for cleaning duty at The Other Bathroom. Failure to do so can and will ban you from the upcoming fieldtrip.”

Red leaned back in the president’s chair, tapping the arm rests. “There. I believe I have covered everything. Questions?”

It took everything out of Shehk to not have her tail retreating between her legs as Red spoke. Not out of fear of her words, but the angry and sudden gestures. It was a certain agitation that she'd never seen in the werewolf before. Perhaps she had simply not spent enough time near Red to have warranted such before, however. Shehk rubbed the back of her head, trying to keep a cool expression but she was nervous. Twitch-y even.

Shehk had feared Marianne, but in that moment she feared Red more. More than those rows of horrible teeth and that burning eye. But there was a certain fervency to the woman's words that motivated Shehk in a way that her summer in the forest hadn't. It was that feeling of the Grinder.. those teeth.... The image of it flashed through her mind for a brief moment and it was after a moment Shehk took a deep breath.

She seemed to grimace slightly at the mention of the 'Other Bathroom'. That place was probably just as nasty as she remembered it being, but she had no plans to go down there to clean it up herself with them. She'd gotten her 'punishment' in her mind. Even if she'd been passed out for it. She never wanted...
....

Another deep breath and Shehk stood up straight;

"Professor. I don't want to go down like I did the other day ever again. Ever. I had no chance to defend myself because I wasn't strong enough. Is there more any of us can do besides just get Terror Warrior up and running?" she asked. Certainly just asking may have been enough to possibly warrant her a trip to the bathroom of her own, but... she didn't want to be so frail that the cold would risk her like that ever again.

=====

Invictus looked to Riley as Red spoke, his mind seeming to press out for her's.

Now you have a way to prepare your classmates without sending them into mass panic. he said, his face seeming to remain impassive. Never the less, his interest in their 'how' in terms of going about it was....more than lacking. Instead he looked to his fellow horsemen, giving them a very calm study.

"Everything is backwards, Aisa." Invictus answered to her, walking over to look at the clock she investigated as well. Though it wasn't a long moment before he looked to the questioning Pricolici. He wasn't sure if she were brave or foolish..or perhaps just trying to save herself from a cowardice that may have been inescapable. It was amusing to watch, at least. Seeing the students run around.

Were these four students gathered the Lady Mindflayer's army? He had to say he wasn't disappointed...at least, he could see the potential in all of them - the obedience of the patchwork, the strength of the dragon...he would have to see about the two young ladies, however. If nothing else, neither of them were too unfortunate. Perhaps even they had strengths he would see on display later.

The emblem put out on the table, however, was something that garnered the smallest change in Conquest's expression. He may have been disgusted or even angry by the reminder. Disgusting. Humans all were. Amusing, yes, but disgusting. Noble only when they needed to be.

As the others came on in, Jericho nodded to each of them in acknowledgement. While waiting for things to begin, he remained silent, not really having anything to say to the horsemen and their odd ramblings. It wasn't long before Red began to speak anyhow.

When she pulled out the pendant, his eyes narrowed. He knew exactly what that was and he wasn't all too happy to see it either. It was a little rare for the dragon to not enjoy the sight of a shiny object.

He was, however, surprised as she pulled out one of the Terror warrior fliers; the course Christof and he had been working on building. Judging what Red was saying, it was a good idea that they had started on it before they had the Student council resources at their disposal. As he thought, the students as a whole needed more preparation. Jericho was glad that he could at least do something to help with that process.

Though, this feeling soon dwindled as the destroyed bot was brought up. He.. actually didn't really recognize it, having only seen what the bot was able to see. Red's explanation said more than enough to let him know what was going on there. Groaning lowly, he grumbled to himself, seeing how he felt that he was being dragged into the punishment just as he was found in the wrong place at the wrong time. He didn't know Barth and Christof were planning on spying!

And now he had bathroom cleaning duties as a result.

As Shehk spoke up, he glanced over towards her. It was a pretty good question actually. Though, they didn't have a whole lot of time, from the sounds of things. The things they could do were pretty limited by that factor.

Christof listened intently, his expression grim concentration as he drank the professor's words in. Preparation? Mentions of Christmas made him shudder, but the sight of the pendant itself made him visibly recoil. He had found one on.... that place. The place he didn't want to think about, but judging by the way things were unfolding, he would have to think about it sometime soon...

He was suddenly very glad he had agreed to help the Dragon with his at-the-time fool hearty seeming project. It had been a good decision.

The moment the poor decimated robot was tossed onto the table, though, his face paled, a high, pained whine escaping his throat as he lurched forward to try to scoop it up with a whimper... The poor, poor robots... they just wanted a harmless peek and a little bout of mad science, he had no idea it would have ended so badly for the poor things! But he could fix them up, he was certain, even if... well, bits were missing or crushed beyond damage, between the two they could be savaged, he was sure.

And then the D word sank in. He glanced up with a horrified expression. Oh, no... Mistress, Mistress, I'm sorry, I had no idea it would have gone so badly we were only trying an experiment and... I... I can do your cleaning for you! He immediately offered, knowing full well he would more than likely be refused. The offer still stood, whole heartedly, regardless. The dragon, though, could fend for himself.

Wow. Red was agitated...had the rumors been true? Junko glanced around at the others with a worried frown until Red slapped a very familiar pendant on the table. Admittedly Junko had really liked the pendant when she'd found one for herself; it was pretty and she had none of her own jewelry, so she'd wanted to keep it for herself to wear regularly. A shame Hellma had told them to give them back. But now that they knew what they meant she was wary of the pendants, and quite frankly she was surprised any still existed instead of simply being destroyed. Why keep them when they only caused trouble? Of course being called a delinquent made her pout and nearly whine in protest, instead huffing quietly. She was not a delinquent she was a good ghoul who did her best to stay out of trouble! The nerve of some people. But arguing would just fuel Red's point and that was the last thing she wanted they were representitives of the student body! She needed to act mature...or something. She glanced Riley, Jericho and Christof's way when Red silently singled them out with a single look. Riley? A delinquent? There was no way!

There was definitely one thing Junko agreed with, however; the students were unprepared for whatever insanity they had made the second years sign their lives away for. Junko couldn't help but feel a little smug as Red also made it clear the in incidents on that island were totally unexpected and undesired. The school's faculty would not intentionally send them to their deaths. Accidents happened. She winced at being reminded of those events, however, self-consciously reaching for some of her precious hair to frown at it and pet it like it was the most precious thing in the world...because it was. She didn't even care that she'd died! She'd have rather been dead than have had her hair cut! But a week? Was that even close to enough time to get everyone who was going ready for whatever it was they needed to prepare to defend against? A look was given to the Terror Warrior flier as Red showed it off; Junko hadn't been considering trying something she felt she would definitely fail at...but now she realized she might HAVE to. Surely she and Shehk could take turns watching over the concession stand they had agrees to run together so they could each attempt the course.

What the hell was that? Junko blinked and just stared at the remains of...a robot? What was that for? A look was given to the three who were called out again, blinking and tilting her head to one side. "BAHAHA! YOU POOR SAPS!" The Mistress suddenly barked out when Red informed them they had to clean a bathroom as detention. Junko had heard tale of this..other bathroom, but she didn't dare look for it. It sounded horrifying. Junko ignored Her for now.

"Not everyone is going? Who will be going?" All of the second years that had signed the waiver, right? She pressed her fingers to her lips. She had to admit she was very glad she signed the waiver now as this was exactly what she wanted but...who would want to threaten Amityville?

When the only response to her formal greeting was a nod of the head, Riley's eyes narrowed. Out of everyone, perhaps she was the most suspicious of the teacher she had once looked up to. The fact that she was now giving detention to the three students who had been caught in a room far from the scene of her 'incident', instead of those who had been caught actually spying, only made her suspicions darken viciously.

She did not recognize the scraps of metal on the table. She had never seen the bots that the boils had been toying with that day, she had merely walked in on them testing their invention. Wrong place, wrong time, there was nothing to be done about it. She replied to Christof alone, a private thought sent his way.

We'll do it together, Christof. She seethed quietly. The entire situation reeked of something sour, to her. If she didn't know better, she would have confronted Red about it in front of the entire Student Council and horsemen, at that very moment.

But starting dissent from within was exactly what these 'hunters', as Nox had called them, wanted. She knew better.

So her only answer was silence, and a piercing glance. Riley kept her friends close, but her enemies closer. She stood next to the seated professor, having never taken a seat in the first place - and took her 'punishment' with no argument.
