So... my lovely colleague gave the other 2 of us her cold and I feel like death warmed up. I'm going on holiday on Sunday!! Anyone know the best remedies for getting rid of colds? I drank 2 litres of fluid today in hope that it'll help flush the germs out but we'll see =/

Poor you! sad That really is a bad timing!
I always drink lots of tea when I have a cold,I also drink some soup and try to stay in bed as much as possible. Normally the worst is gone in about 1-2 days...

Thankyou! I'm trying to work through it but Nicky (the one who passed it on) keeps moaning about how horrible she feels etc. And its getting me down :[
I can't have tea at work. I drank some hot honey and lemon when I got home and it helped my throat a massive amount. I went to bed at like 9pm aswell xD

Why can't you have tea at work? That doesn't seem fair.
Sam just had a very bad head cold and all that helped him was laying down and resting. He drank a lot and only ate soup though.

We can, but we don't have a kettle (or our own room..) so we have to use the garden center kettle and it's across the other side from our store D;
I had a bit of everything, started with a throat like I'd swallowed glass, then got really snotty xD, then had congested sinuses and a head cold >.<; Now I'm just left with a chesty cough.

Heh, I can only hope! I don't get colds that often. So fingers crossed I won't get another one for a while. Nicky who gave it to me, is still suffering from it and I'm not too bad now.

Well I'm glad you're getting better! I didn't catch what Sam had, thankfully! Although my sister is now sick with something very similar and we all thought it was amusing since she lives a 14-16 hour drive away from us all. xd
